  1. pah - had 1600fps first time I used mine but soon settles at 425 ish after 3 or 4 shots most guns punch about 320 - 340fps - this fps means jack if gun is setup badly Tokyo Mauri punch at say 295 but no doubt they are one of best out there in general chrono is just a rough ball park guide to try n ensure nobody is using stuff too powerful or unfair advantage or more so safety too - stings a bit a close range sometimes CO2's are nice but a little variation in fps often mainly over the 350 like i said
  2. if you absolutely have to have something right now and can't wait for Raider then carbine @ £100 http://www.proairsoftsupplies.co.uk/acatalog/cm16_carbine_transparent.html but I suspect you will soon wish you got raider with RIS to put stuff on yup can change stuff but often RIS may need a bit of tweaking to fit on so buying a gun already with rails is better option heck if ya wanted to go nutz get carbine AND raider when in stock or rather Fire Hawk if ya got £250 to blow - then you got spare gun of your own
  3. wait and get Raider CM16 - maybe short version imho £123 - zero one has another shipment due soon was told on friday, but their last trading day will be around Tuesday then they shut up shop to shift everything for NAE - they have been winding down and pulling most stuff If get from Zero One then they will 2 Tone it free and should be about £130ish with shipping ya battery/charger will probably be about £25+ for both - crane stock on CM16 Raider so nunchuck or stick type battery you get a 450 mag, so maybe add another mag or two perhaps but 450 should see you ok for a single game round (unless you are really trigger happy) so you can scrape by - certainly better than a mp5 mag capacity G&G use 8mm bearings in their stuff now even their cheapo £100 carbine but raider with rails is well worth it hence they sell out everywhere real quick don't buy any other cheap gun - trust us, we have learnt hard way, you WILL BE WASTING MONEY !!!!
  4. welcome to forum.... your 1911 is a sexy weapon but if it is CO2 powered it "might" be a tad too hot most sites allow up to 350fps - some cqb allow only 328fps or 100m/sec CO2 a lot of them punch well over - anywhere between 365 & 450fps !!!!! soz to bring a possible bit of bad news - got a cheap 1911 co2 myself and love it but too hot to use on its own - there are a few mods to reduce it though slightly more softer pistols are Green Gas or propane or even less 200-240fps electric cyma pistols just letting ya know in case you get told you can't use ya 1911 after it is put through chrono hire or buy a cheapo 2 tone or clear G&G for ukara and all the other usual advice stuff for newcomers (ffs avoid anything with BB in their names - again all this is usual advice to prevent you making bad decisions - like me)
  5. Ann Summers are looking into that with different attachments to get more female players into sport Gives a new meaning to Blow Back Airsoft pron - yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh soz - cold shower time
  6. Don't think that is same for all sites though, often my son may do full day & I just do half day Young Guns - all players under 18 so kids can't be supervised by parents Also Zero One own site was running some mid-week full days where parents could drop off kids in morning and pick them up at up to about 6:00pm I think So not all sites enforce a rule that all under 18's have to be fully supervised - just sign a waiver so ya dad/mum can take you, fill out paperwork and leave you on your own to get lit up - kidding rent a gun once and maybe a clear or 2-Tone G&G from Pro Airsoft or Zero One £100 to £140ish but try it out first on a rental to see if you like it and if ya parents ok with you doing it My missus was a bit freaky at first doing this shooting with son but I explained: He is getting out n about, meeting new people, working as a team, getting exercise and better than him just sitting up in his room playing online 24/7 raging n all that - he is still stroppy but thats kids
  7. North London eh??? Quite a lot of Chinese people live over that way They arrive at Heathrow Airport, jump into a black cab and say to cabbie: "Harrow taxi driver" Soz I will get me coat - welcome to forum m8 please ignore most of what I say - everybody else does Oh and "Harrow" n welcome m8
  8. Ahem - back onto topic - it is a stupid feckin rule yes site can come up with their own bollox even well you deserve a kill for all the effort you put in - you was trying so here is a kill for you being such a good little soldier - jjeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez uhm not being funny - well yeah I am always taking da pi$$ but...... Oi m8 - adjust hop up or if ya that $hit Point ya gun fecking upwards a bit and it might actually fall nearer the target but here is a kill and a shiney star of the day for trying the hardest - ffs
  9. HA HA PMSL LOL & ALL THAT where is this place coz if I am running out of cash & bb's I can go there and just fvcking dry fire at everyone FFS - rebounds/ricochet and now this bollox, I didn't get my UKARA to play with NERF or fvcking waterpistols and Laser Quest though fun is best when ya half pi$$ed (Airsoft n alcohol don't mix but funny when doing Laser Quest and ya m8 runs full on SPLAT !!! into wall) Jeez - lets leave our guns at safe zone and go round doing peeyaoooowwwwww peeyaoooowwwwww bangg bangg peeyaoooowwwwww peeyaoooowwwwww bangg bangg On second thoughts lets just play tag - your it instead but only if we have that spongey tarmac stuff used in playgrounds OK - getting silly now, soz but c'mon - who runs this site, JBBG so their guns don't seem so $HIT at range - ok I stop now
  10. But if you did message them and BBGuns4Less have given that reply themselves then I think they have just seriously shot themselves in the foot - for real shame coz they recently got their UKARA status and was kind of trying to improve their range of stuff - if they have foolishly replied like that though to a customer then I think they may future customers may become a very rare thing now.... dunno how all the message stuff works hence me just seeking clarification or if others can see if it went to a forum section and others replied or if BBG4L really think this of their customers..... jeez
  11. Wow - but before we jump to conclusions here..... is that really BBGuns4Less reply or somebody else's comment ??? trying to suss out if it really is BBGuns or another poster saying that normally they have this on their facebook:
  12. Alas there are horror stories with all suppliers - you only really find out how good they are when things don't go according to plan and then you find out just how good ANY company is when rectifying a problem/return I bought quite a few bits from them - Dragon for example - which is $hit but that is gun not BBGuns4Less fault, but have had a few issues when things didn't go perfectly The 3 main cheapo "kids" or beginners sites: JustBBGuns - absolute *!?@#& BBGuns4Less - tiny bit better JustBBGuns - probably best ones I have tried, everything is free shipping, fairly true reviews but still have to watch what you buy coz there is some crap on there too Alas any mystery box is gonna be mainly pants stuff imho - yes sometimes it might be a lucky touch, but in general you ain't gonna get much if any decent stuff in there (fvck me - how many targets or jammy bb's must these sellers buy per week ????) Sorry your stuff broke so quickly, but they should be taking a better lesson in customer service than that, you tried calling them - gonna be a pain to send stuff back and if so you lose on return postage - no retailer has to refund you for return shipping - if lucky some may send courier to collect at their cost but often the buyer has to pay returns Often if not too bad I have decided to take the crap on the chin coz not worth hassle or cost of postage - but in your case sounds like quite a bit is not living up to the description or faulty goods - they will argue it was working but must of broke due to user error soz - but you can see how they will answer...... Alas most of the reviews on these 3 sites are done by users who are kids or very little experience hence: Fires at 400fps - coke can test awsome range - 20ft the best gun I own - it is my first incredible rate of fire - more than 3 a second - just Just get it - so we can both get owned at skirmish sites And yes I bought LOADS of FANTASTIC crap..... Hopefully it wasn't a really big expensive amount of money on mystery box, it sounds too good to be true and if you work in advertising you would know very often it is just that - too goog to be true like most stuff in life - no free lunch etc.... Hope you get it sorted or at very least partially sorted - welocome to the: "I've been stung" airsoft club - our membership is growing and growing
  13. As been mentioned - just go along to your local site and start chatting asking about their guns "Wow - that is a really nice gun etc......" - they all love to chat or show off about their stuff have fun - don't take it too seriously and above all play fair - call your hits: "HIT - Good shot m8" - even though you think jammy bastid where the hell did that come from ??? just a game of pretend soldiers that is all it is, don't worry about being a bit of a noob I'm a liability and a bit of a nob most of the time but still good fun
  14. if ya gonna do that rewire solder then fit a fixed stubby or full size and never worry about bat spec/size fit ya lunch in there too if ya want, but fixed stock depends on your play style if ya going for DMR with 140 etc - and SHS high torque motor I presume then fixed full size would be option looking at gun/barrel length & MED if cqb like Fire Hawk stubby is ideal setup for me, just now n then stubby is a bit short but nothing major when out in woods trying to take longer shots but hey I live with it as like I can grab any battery & not worry sod it if ain't as nice as VS-02 stock, far more practical for me but to each their own yeah if you gonna unsolder mosfet module then you could look at changing stock perhaps Again it is all up to YOU - jeez I spent too much on this, gonna sign off coz I have done nothing for last few hours best of luck S D
  15. Well if we ever do manage to do a full proper meet up in midlands say I'll bring 2 T Shirts - one for me & other for you - then we can see who moves fastest My wheel chair runs on lipo's though - just warning ya (soz I'm not in wheel chair or zimmer frame just yet and soz to anybody you may know disabled) gotta be so careful & correct and I'm taking pi$$ out of myself not any poor unfortunate soul btw no offense meant
  16. soz for Hong Kong Fuey confusion.... but Hobby King jeez - what a poxy layout site in my firefox browser - gave up trying to load most on here use component shop time and time again coz they are good and know their stuff the postage - well that might also be down to royal mail no longer want batteries sent through their postal service so couriers for batteries often have to be used - though some places may still try it. and battery prices - well no good trying to save a quid or so if it won't fit, eg: 18.8 vs 20.4mm I mean if price is issue then get £4 caliper gauge, look around your house for a 12v psu for charger you could find say an old router 12v psu @ 1.5amp but will take longer to charge than recomended 5amp psu but soz I have given you some rough ideas perhaps but like I said it is down to you to decide really Finally on MOSFET - jeez who bloody went nuts on all that spaghetti, plus if using a proper soldered one then you should be fine to try life or maybe 11.1v if motor can take it - the mosfet will help but motor may still get the crap knocked out it if it ain't up to it or ratio/spring a bit much again size/type/voltage is down to YOU I'm afraid - soz
  17. she can have my helmet - soz too old anyway just being really silly now - soz to any female members out there (well the ones who normally cook lunch for us "men" - now gonna get warning for sexism I suppose) soz for derailing post with silly smutty crap - getting late and was quiet this weekend (didn't shoot much)
  18. I was wondering if doing a night time or tunnel skirmish.... who is really gonna notice or would would really give a fffffff
  19. Either caliper will do - my plastic one is lighter but not as accurate 10th of a mm if anybody was gonna do plenty of work then both for a tenner is worth considering the plastic is lighter - no wheel on it but like said it is fine to suss out 18.5mm rather than 18.57mm for example - but really any of them will do..... I would advise against batteries from Hong Kong and be careful with chargers from china too seriously got a cheapo mains one for say £7 or something daft - rattled - bit of solder came off a track but still good solder on there I thought - plugged it in and lots of buzzing..... yeah fvck that $hit - straight in bin no thanks to torching my house - lesson learned batteries - well what come back have you got and waiting 3 weeks etc........ you got nunchuck on a crane stock 121375611135 - ebay item BUT will 20mm width and 123mm long fit in nunchuck tubes ??? you can see where the digital caliper comes in handy (depth - use stick/screwdriver/pen mark with finger & measure but you knew that) now the other 2 batteries..... the shorter one whilst 101mm long was 20.4mm wide the other: - 231200027436 was longer but 18.8mm wide - might not seem much but can be a yes or no feckin chance of fitting in crane stock also you "might" be able to fit BOTH batteries in stock one either side - hell of a quick change if caught out on field unlikely to both fit at same time but if shorter/cheaper stick works ok at 20.4mm width you might be able to fit 2 in and quick change - woo hoo however.... you got a deans connector - most of these batteries come as mini tamiya connectors so you might be better getting from component shop site and get them to fit deans on there but you need to measure as accurate as possible the size of them battery tubes - they should be 19mm maybe more dunno how long though and you gotta allow for wies/connector n $hit to close end or other option is to fit fixed stubby or full size stock on there but you probably like your adjustable crane stock or external box but then some of these peq boxes are a bit on smallish size jeeeeez what is this battery clinic hour - just kidding, but you need to do a bit of homework and measuring first then look at what real options you want to explore - plus what works for me or others you might not like so I can only make some suggestions..... End of the day YOU have to decide what battery will work best for YOU in YOUR gun I'm afraid get measuring and see what you room you have at present in your crane stock - deans connector btw UPDATE BUT DO NOT TAKE THIS AS GOSPEL....... Measured a similar nuchuk battery I had to hand - note yours may not be EXACT same !!!!! 3+4 battery = 8.4v & diameter is 17mm BUT wire running down battery increases to 19.5mm the 4 cell stick is 115mm long - dunno how much more room the old crane stock could take normally any more cells will go to 2 x 4 = 9.6v = both 115mm and if even more a centre cell 4+1+4 = 9 x 1.2v = 10.8v BUT not every stock can do this max nunchuck sizes that is about my lot - do not take my measurments or battery/stock as the same as YOURS YOU gotta check YOUR stock and the YOU make YOUR OWN mind up soz but I ain't gonna have people saying - you said this would work n it don't etc..... BEST OF LUCK - S D
  20. Well I suppose if you want to stir up a hornet's nest with a unique loadout: get a T Shirt printed with the words on it: YOUR LOADOUT LOOKS GAY !!!!! then see how fast you can run as you get lit up quicker than Blackpool Illuminations
  21. yeah got Fire Hawk and found the G&G stock tube had thicker wall than say SRC stock tube, was just about to swap them over then thought - wtf lets stick a fixed stubby on there and then shove any battery in there - not so sexy as G&G VS-02 stock but same size and less hassle to change battery quickly probably not ideal for M4 coz can't adjust fixed stubby but for mainly cqb quick point n shoot it seems to be fine did have a post with it all on but can't find it atm think I have said enough on all this battery malarky and you lot probably fell asleep in some coma I reckon (I'm the guy on airplane that everybody hangs/shoots themselves when Ted Striker starts going on....)
  22. ebay item number: 231200027436 component shop on ebay - £12:25 + £3:95 post BUT buy 2 and 2nd one is free £24:50 + £3:95 = £28:45 BUT THIS IS 136MM LONG !!!! so might be too long !!!!!!! this is one that was at component shop site ebay item number: 371072241379 £11:45 + £4 & 2nd battery is free post £22:90 + £4 = £26:90 me thinks and is 101mm long OR the slightly safer "beefy" 9.9v Life option: Ebay item number: 331158322960 bit safer than maybe 11.1v lipo - uses same charger as lipo but as always check diemsions - hence them digital calipers are the dogs nutz... got metal and plastic ones metal paid loads for but use the cheaper £4 plastic one the most - always out to hand plastic only does 10th mm but metal is 100th mm measuring but most what I need and the abuse my stuff gets my plastic is my baby - had her years plastic seems to have auto shut-off - metal doesn't so leave it on after ya done and you will probably need new watch batteries next time you go use her well cheap - paid over $6 for plastic & over a tenner for metal version ages ago fvck me they have come down in price - jeeeezzz all of you lot should have one
  23. I still use both - end of the day whatever fits and more over whatever is charged in time when I leave for shooting.... got a few cheapo 9.6v nimh ones which seem to perform/hold charge well atm lipo's are nice but there are stick nimh for that bastid battery fitting Galaxy mp5k as well as stick lipo's for Fire Hawk LiPo's are what many prefer to run with after a while, so it might be worth just going straight to 7.4v lipo Life's 9.9v - range is very limited both amps & size see what you started - asked about extra 1.2v battery and now you are really confused if/when to jump to lipo (good idea but again - see if you really get into it if you just started airsoft)
  24. Me neither - I just babble on endlessly and often once I start there is no end in sight tee hee lol n all that
  25. ebay: component shop sell on there as well as cloud nine amongst others.... A popular make of lipo's is ZIPPY COMPACT - yellow batteries and are a tiny bit smaller than same spec Turnigy ones - handy if space is limited/tight if you have one or consider buying a digital vernier/caliper gauge - quick & accurate way to measure batt/compartment/stock etc.... - no full blown metal - get a cheapo £4 one - fleabay then you can make a more accurate decision on what model/type battery to get main thing is charger - you can buy a cheap charger but will take much longer to charge ffs - don't get a cheap $5 one from hong kong - some are friggin dangerous a cheap charger can be about £10-£15 but get it from UK is my advice - if you gonna get into it then consider a better charger at around £30+ perhaps you can get a battery/charger for about £25 at a push or maybe 2 x batteries & cheapo charger for £40-£45 (aprox £15 each) BUT FFS - DO NOT PUT IT CHARGING ON YOUR BED OR CARPET AND GO OUT !!!!!!!!! LiPo's can be dangerous if they have "blown" but even so there is a slight risk so put them in a bag maybe but bag or not - on a safe worktop and above all else........ KEEP AN EYE ON IT CHECKING THEM REGULARLY - seriously I may mess about but this is serious $hit so don't just leave them for a hour or two - feel them if they get too warm/hot just common sense really but there is a possible risk - not horror stories just being honest as I can
