If I set mine to wide, it does the same. On narrow, sometimes there are some radios that can't hear me. But usually only picks up the next channel when the radios are close.

I think it's because it's MILSIM as in MILitary SIMulation. And unless the scenario is set in the middle of Africa, child soldiers aren't valid for the simulation part.

You are right about the topic being derailed, it's just this very bold statement to shoot 95m with 290fps that got the animal out of us. I can shoot 50 meters with my pistol. I can't shoot 90 meters even with my 500fps sniper gun unless shooting way above the target and it's a good gun. I also heard many times that it will be proved with proper test and video, but never heard back from those guys. Actually some of my old fellow airsofters are doing a test day this Staurday. They rented a 100+ meter empty warehouse and doing some properly documented airsoft mythbusting. They will write an article about it, and if they are okay with that, I'll translate the results to bad English.

With hitting 90 meters at 290 fps you already broke the laws of physics, so just bend the lightwaves and you can clearly see that far.

If you took it apart, maybe the hopup rubber is not sitting straight. Take the barrel with the hopup out, look into it and check if the hopup presses the rubber in the barrel exactly from the top.

Have you cleaned the barrel and hopup?

You need defence when you want to import (bring from abroad) your RIF. Defence can be UKARA but if you can prove you are an airsofter, that's okay too. For example if you are a registered member of an airsoft club, and you have the paperwork, that should work - if they can check it somehow. Or you have booked for an airsoft event here in the UK and the site can confirm it, that should also work. So you can prove you are an airsofter without UKARA but it's harder. And if that doesn't work out, the rifs will be destroyed. Once your RIF is here, you don't need anything, it's legal to own them. As for the other equipment: if those are legal to own and import to the UK, it should be ok. When I moved here, I two-toned my gun by changing the stock and the frontset to some cheap ones painted bright green. I also brought the normal parts. Then I booked for an airsoft event, and switched them to the proper ones on site (manufactured RIF, but since I was at the airsoft event, that was my defence). Switched back to IF at the end of the game. I did that 3 times got my UKARA number, and imported the rest of my rifs.

That A&K M4 is very good. It's the new version where the hopup is TM compatible too. It has aluminum body, CNCd ras, high torque motor, good internals. Also taiwangun offers free downgrade, just tell them the fps you want. Just clean the barrel and hopup properly after you get it, they like to use too much grease.
