  1. I'd have to go Warrior every time. Their kit is absolutely bullet proof. I use a WAS plate carrier, chest rig, pouches and belt in various load outs. For the money they cannot be beat.
  2. Just for infos sake, Warrior have released a new belt which caters for drop leg etc: http://www.uktactical.com/p-11534-gunfighter-belt-multicam.aspx
  3. I would either short stroke or fit a weaker spring. A good air seal is a good thing and I wouldn't go messing with it.
  4. Pretty much any standard size pistol pouch will do for M&P mags. Theyre pretty much the same size as glock, sig, h&k mags. As above the odd ones out are 1911 single stacks as they are thinner.
  5. Warrior Assault Systems. You can't go wrong with their kit tbh.
  6. Something like this then? http://www.uktactical.com/p-5707-warrior-qrs-fastex-sling-coyote-tan.aspx They do it in black, multicam and tan.
  7. So - after skirmishing the CRB for the first time on Sunday - some conclusions: - It performed very well, the hop unit/rubber in particular impressed with good range and consistent groupings. - The SHS HT motor produced a high ROF on auto with an 11.1 lipo (expected - I've used this combination before) with no feeding issues. Although after a couple of hundred rounds it did start to double fire due to overspin (perhaps they were right to ship it with a weaker stock motor). This will be cured with the addition of a Jefftron programmable mosfet, just ordered off the back of a recommendation from a friend. - Nothing bad to report really. Pretty pleased.
  8. Sounds like a red dot or holo is what you need. Both allow quick target acquisition (when used properly - eg with both eyes open). A red dot paints a small red doh (no, really) in your line of sight, a holo paints a red reticule. As mentioned about, for AEG type ranges, you wont really need any magnification. Red dots include Chinese replicas of Aimpoint t1 micro, m2, comp m4 etc. Holos include clones of the various models of Eotech. I have a comp m4 repro that takes an AA battery and an Eotech 553 repro which takes 4x LR44s. Both work well in woodland and cqb. You shouldnt really need to spend more than about 40 quid on either.
  9. Used this stuff for years, works a treat: http://www.simplyscuba.com/products/Oceanic/NanoAntifog.aspx
  10. Don't worry about it. Ukara is there to protect sellers of rifs.
  11. Krytac CRB or SPR would be a good choice. No upgrading required.
  12. My point exactly, this shouldn't really happen on an AEG without an active breaking mosfet. As for the sluggish response, I have reiterate that because I have high torque motors in all my AEGs it's a relative thing but noticeable none the less and especially disappointing given they ship these with a high torque neo motor in the US and other places. TBH I think that the justification I've read that because the springs for the UK model arent as strong they dont need a HT motor is balls. Smacks of a cost cutting exercise. In any case, its a solid AEG with many positives and I would say that its probably the only AEG I've bought that I wont have to change or modify the gearbox on.
  13. I don't think its faulty, it just doesn't hold a candle to a decent Neo motor. What's disappointing is that every review I've seen the Krytacs have their "30k torque" motor, which, by all accounts is a decent Neo motor.
  14. Just got hold of a Krytac CRB, thought I'd throw up a quick initial impression by way of pros and cons. Hope this is useful for anyone considering buying one. Pros: - Good packaging, manual. - Hi cap mag and iron sights are decent quality - External build quality is very good (with a couple of exceptions below), on par with G&P, VFC etc - Keymod rail makes for light weight - Stock is very good with some well thought out features - Internals are excellent - arguably the best v2 gearbox design around combined with top quality gears, piston, etc and integrated mosfet - UK version comes with M100 spring (shooting ~340fps with hop off) - Price compares favourably with AEGs of similar quality (G&P, VFC, etc) Cons: - Wired with Tamiya connector (FFS why?) - Flash hider is plastic and cheap looking as well as hard to remove due to being glued on - Grip is shiny and cheap looking - No rail sections included for the keymod - Motor is weak Closing thoughts: Overall I'm pretty pleased with the CRB. It's light weight, well built and has a top notch gearbox. My only gripes at this stage are with the flash hider (promptly removed via a hair dryer and a bit of persuasion and replaced with a stubby suppressor), the grip (promptly replaced by a MOE) and the motor. I don't know if they ship with a different motor in the UK as I heard good things about the stock ones, but it very weak with sluggish response (compared to my other AEGs) and tons of overspin and a tendency to heat up quickly. Very disappointing. Luckily I had a spare SHS high torque laying around which has sorted things. Anyone thinking of buying a Krytac should factor in the cost of a decent motor. I'll throw in an updated review after skirmishing the CRB a few times.
  15. Ultimately it comes down to whatever floats your boat. Some may sneer at milsimers (SAS wannabees, etc) but their having fun doing what they are doing, same as people who just enjoy skirmish games. I do a bit of both and enjoy them for what they are. As to folks paying ridiculous money for kit, it's their money. You wouldn't laugh at someone buying a BMW over a Kia.
  16. Been using these for over a year in my 416 (22rps). Never had any issues.
  17. Unless you're a trigger maniac, you'll probably find one will last the day. Always good to have a spare tho.
  18. Sony Vegas is a good choice on Windows. What is it you don't get on with it?
  19. The blowback on g&g guns is a gimmick, I wouldn't let it sway your decision.
  20. Prowin hop ups are not made of unicorn shit don't expect magic. Their main selling point is they are well made and durable so should feed well and last forever. They also use a rotary hop adjustment which will hold its setting. Your hop rubber, nub, barrel and air seal are what gives you accuracy. Combined with the right spring strength will give you range. I have one in an m4. Performance wise it's no better or worse than the stock vfc one in my 416.
  21. Buy a cheap second hand m4, broken and learn to tech on it. There's endless guides and videos online to help you.
