If they are so unsafe wouldn't the majority of sites have banned them by now? I thought this being a completely silly rule was established when it came up on here a couple of weeks ago...

Most if not all BBs can shatter on impact. Anyway I use Blasters or Excel 0.25s, those Nuprol ones seem alright although I've only used a couple of bottles so far.

Put me down for 3 please mate, no problems gifting through paypal or whatever is easiest.

I'd get the Cyma 048 after hearing a lot of good things about them. They seem to be on offer on Taiwangun currently.

I'm guessing it's Absolute Airsoft you are talking about, they have a bad reputation. I know quite a few people who have played there and they've not gone back. They are also partnered with a "shop" that is fairly well known as the biggest scammer in the country(Special Airsoft Supplies) If you want to buy some kit before going I'd suggest you limit yourself to getting some basics like trousers, shirt, face protection and some boots. As much as it seems like a chore it is worth hiring before you buy and most players will be happy to talk to you about their kit so you get an idea of what might suit you.

Best briefing i've seen is from the chap Tony that runs RIFT airsoft. He's very enthusiastic and gets through all the key points in such a way that makes the amount of time it takes seem shorter than it really is. A lot of marshals really need to have a cheat sheet to hand as i've seen rules missed at sites i've been to before that don't have them.

As far as the combat machine range goes just go for what you like the look of, they are all the same internally.

Almost certainly but rental guns are very inconsistent. I remember using one that struggled to shoot more than 30-40 metres and another where the spring in the high cap magazine was knackered. Even if you got a hire gun that for all intents and purposes is a great model, well it could have be using to dig a hole by the previous rental player.... basically they get treated awfully and generally maintained only enough so they fire.

Most likely mate, I've found the vast majority of players to be really sound although there are a fair amount of eccentric airsofters(although to be fair they are having fun and aren't hurting anyone). I went to a site where it appeared the marshals allowed hot guns to pass chrono and there was an enormous amount of cheating and general bad play, not sure how I would have felt if that was my first game. I couldn't see myself going to games most Sundays if I didn't know that at almost any site I visit the players will be a good laugh. Sadly some sites seem to have regulars that get away with murder but I'd say they are more the exception the rule in my experience, especially as I've seen regulars at various sites get bollocked for misbehaving. You may have mentioned it already but if you let people know where you are based you will get recommendations for good sites.

I've been running my HK416 without a fuse for a year now without issue. I remember seeing a discussion a while back about how they don't do a whole lot, although I know bugger all about electronics so can't remember what the reasoning was.

Always wondered if you could sew a couple of loops, along the lines of belt loops on the sides/back of the legs to hold external kneepads up. Assuming it either doesn't work or looks rubbish as I can't be the first person to think of it

Welcome to the forum, I'd probably go with the combat machine. I guess it just depends if the plastic body would be an issue for you.

A chap I used to work with was really into his cigars and used to talk about how some people drank coke with them. I think it was only with certain cigars where it was meant to compliment the flavour.

Great bits of kit, I have an OD one and one of the guys I play with bought one off the back of seeing mine.
