  1. Yeah I like the IMI one I have for my P226 but couldn't track down a P30 version. Not too keen on importing from the states as I'm envisioning pay as much/more for shipping and customs as I do for the actual holster.
  2. As much as I love my HK45 it seems one of the worst guns to find a holster for. Done a bit of reading and they will fit in H&K P30 holsters apparently. Ideally I'm after a retention holster which is left handed(I'm sorry) that I can use with a MOLLE mount. As far as I can tell the best option is a Blackhawk Serpa CQC Holster, as the only UK supplier i've found any Left handed P30 holsters from is Midway UK. Can anyone recommend any alternatives, or confirm if this sounds good? I'm open to not using a retention holster if there's something decent available, I've only used cheap fabric holsters before and whilst they hold my gun fine they are annoying to reholster into.
  3. I got on really well with the AK5c silenced and an Igla or RPG as engineer, for a pistol it was the 93r. Good thing with the Igla is people would be used to how many stingers it would take to disable their chopper and the igla took them by surprise as it did more damage.
  4. I had a friend that did one game with me then started being useless so I thought sod it I'll go on my own, the worst that will happen is I get to play airsoft all day and sit on my own. I soon realised it's easy to talk to people when you are all there for a shared interest. It's very easy to get chatting to people by asking about their kit, or if they look new asking them. Now I go with a group of 5-6 people but still not too fussed about going on my own if I need to.
  5. I get my batteries from componentshop.co.uk - they have tons to choose from and most let you choose the connector you want. As far as chargers go - either an Imax B6 or Turnigy Accucel 6, just make sure it comes with a power supply and the right leads for your batteries as there are some barebones versions that don't.
  6. The credit card, but you are a "responsible" adult.
  7. Ian that sounds a bit dangerous Ordered 4 more TM shotgun shells, dislike paying £5 postage on that but only Fire Support seemed to stock them...
  8. Flyye are generally associated with budget gear, and whilst some people have no issues they do have a bit of a reputation for falling apart/tearing. Most of their gear is south of 100 quid basically. I'm not sure what you would need so many pouches for either, although this is personal preference. I've seen plenty of people get carried away then take all the extras off because it's too heavy plus you carry stuff you never use. If you have never run a plate carrier before I would suggest you start with just mag pouches and expand as required. Also worth noting that Warrior Assault Systems and similar brands are going to be of much better build quality than Flyye.
  9. German para boots get my vote. Just keep in mind people have differ shaped feet, so what's comfortable for one person isn't for another.
  10. Seems questionably expensive for Flyye gear, I actually laughed the first time I saw that. If it was me I'd get something like http://www.uktactical.com/p-7198-warrior-dcs-da556-multicam.aspx Then add on any extra stuff you want.
  11. Anyone know much about the E&L AKs? Reviews seem good if a little hard to come by.

Guess the other option would be to go gas. I'd rather not import from outside the EU. Looking for an AK74-SU of some description

E&L is LCT with thicker steel and better internals. Here's a good review:

I'd elaborate but I posted already on E&L and I'm really limited by the chat here.

Cheers for the link UTJ. Probably should have made a thread so answers don't need to fit on a stamp :)

  12. It's used in computer games all the time, often abbreviated to PUGs
  13. This thread is getting derailed in a not very nice way, on what is normally a pretty chilled out forum.
  14. I haven't been to the site but you sound pretty well setup. Personally I would recommend waiting till you can buy a RIF, I was really tempted to get a 2 tone but I'm glad I waited. Best thing you can do now is get an idea for the sort of gun you want while you do your 3 games. Most players will be happy to talk about their guns and let you hold them. You seem on the right track and it's nice to see new players not asking how to get a UKARA license etc.
  15. Someone pulled out into my passenger side wing on a roundabout, then when I stop gets out the car and starts swearing at me saying it was my fault etc. The insurance company tries to palm off the claim on a 3rd party without making it clear that means they take 0 responsibility for the claim. Not to mention a cursory google shows that a lot of these companies deliberately overcharge on repairs and hire cars so the other party's insurers will flat out refuse to pay even in cases where they accept liability - which means it defaults to you owing them the sum total of the charges... Anyway I chuck it back to my insurer saying you sort this out and give me your approved garage for repairs. Takes the garage a week or two to make the repairs which is all well and good, except I called multiple times asking if I could tag on a small rust repair(talking 50p size spot) and some discolouration on my bumper out of my own pocket. The night before I'm due to pick my car up they actually bother to call me and say that it will cost £900 because apparently cleaning a small rust spot on the door involves dismantling half the car... Pick the my car up and it looks great, would struggle to tell it was damaged plus it's been steam cleaned. Probably the only part I was happy with. Day after I pick my car up I get a message saying my car is ready to pick up.... A few months later I get a letter from the garage saying I didn't pay them and I owe them the money. Obviously they would hand over the keys and let me leave without paying. Call them up and ask them wtf is going on, barely seem to care and say something glib about having a system issue so I say why is that my problem but get nowhere. Tempted to let them try and pass it off to a debt collection agency because I will then prove I paid and they will charge the garage their admin fees. At least that's how it works in my head Bunch of fucking crooks and jobsworths from start to finish.
  16. I just couldn't really support an OS that was clearly trying to push sales for their mobile lines(at the expense of usability on a desktop), not to mention the metro UI has ended up on server 2012 for god knows what reason. The way UAC was changed is a nightmare from a business point of view also.
  17. Oh dear I thought they were really poorly designed assists for holding down the spring whilst you load the mag....
  18. Really tempted to get a Geforce 970 and Windows 10 looks like it could be fairly decent, unlike 8.
  19. I use a pin punch to get them out and a lot of swearing to get them back in again.
  20. Just installed the angry gun M870 shell holder. What a ballache

  21. Seems a real shame more sites don't allow 450 FPS DMRs with a MED. Otherwise it seems a bit like an AEG with more disadvantages than advantages. More than anything medium to long range on semi auto is how I play the majority of the time so it would be a perfect fit. Might still do it though, I have terrible self control.
  22. After chatting to a tech in the local shop I got really excited about him setting up a really nice 450 FPS SR-25 for me. Then when I got home and had a look around some sites in the south they all seemed to be either 400 or 425 FPS limits on DMRs with a 20+ metre MED or it was just standard 350 FPS unless it was a BASR. I was actually meaning to setup a thread with basically the same question as Richie. Surely unless you can use a gun with a significantly higher muzzle velocity you may as well just use a decently setup AEG or GBBR that fires at/under 350 FPS?
