Sandwiches, pasties, haribo. Don't overthink it, you're going camping and playing BBwars for a weekend not spending 6 weeks on exercise in the desert.

jay83 got a reaction from Wiggles in JG MP5K suppressor help
I have one of these and the gun is amazing, im out ranging most people the hop is really good, firing 0.28g ammo easy.
They have an adaptor so you can attach a silencer.
I just brought a really nice QD silencer from a guy on the ALL AIRSOFT SALES UK - facebook for £20 delivered. They normally sell for £28 ish plus delivery. And i ordered it that afternoon, it arrived the next morning. Service.
Hope that helps, any questions PM me.

Their patches are PVC. Which IS vinyl (PVC = PolyVINYL Chloride). But they're not rubber which is what I guess you actually meant....

jay83 reacted to Esoterick in MILSIM - What is it ?
Personally I'm not really sure what the difference between filmsim and milsim is. It makes me think of ammo limits and camo/clothing restrictions per side which I like, although if it I had to only wear what british or american armed forces wear for instance not so much.
The only one i've been to is airborne airsoft which is along the lines of desert camo/MTP/Multicam on one side and more woodland/flat colours on the other with ammo limits and nothing like box mags on an M4. It did also become apparent how important the use of radios are, although this is true of larger skirmish sites even if it is to a lesser extent.

I'd expect a more story driven scenario with more in game organisation and tactics.

jay83 reacted to Samurai in lazy players.
I found that if I shout loud and tell people what to do instead of asking, they tend to listen.
Just point at them and tell them what to do. Be specific about who you are giving the order, and about what to do. Instead of "we need cover" you can say "Want some action? We need to move this mortar, move with us and you cover that way, you cover that way...".

jay83 reacted to Colonel Kurtz in lazy players.
Every time, airsoft is a quite active 'sport' but also quite nerdy, so there's lots of people who seem to only get exercise moving between their console and fridge!
There's always a bunch of tubby types loitering outside spawn point, fruitlessly emptying hi-caps at the opposition in the distance. Not bothered about people ignoring objectives and just concentrating on shooting the opp, but at least got to be pro-active about that! And always find queues of dithering people pinned down and not wanting to be the first to step out/round and engage.
Such behavior can be frustrating from your own team, but they're all usually much easier than a proactive player to shoot if on the opp team
All boils down to luck of the draw and whether you get significantly more lazy players than the opp to make a day bit of a loosing battle/shite. Can be the other way round and have an excellent time kicking lazy butt

jay83 reacted to clumpyedge in lazy players.
Lazy players annoy me as much as cheaters and the like, if I've paid my game fee I don't want to play a hard game defending and then turn said game around for the other team to not put as much effort into it as we had it kinda makes the game pointless and a has a very demotivating effect on the people that do want to play to keep the game going.

Agree with this, this what we did. Get a team page on here. Start a facebook like page so you can store your teams pictures on it and have chats with with people about your team as a unit for Comps,Milsims and Skirmishes.
Get a badge design sorted and designed if you havent already. If you need help with that i can point you in the right direction as i now know people who would do this and also i can point you towards people that make badges in the Uk and i have a link that does PVC ones cheaper then standard cotton ones. Hope that helps
