Airsoft_Mr B reacted to proffrink in Macks airsoft dreamers of the week thread
My latest favourite:
http://forums.zeroin.co.uk/showthread.php?256584-Tokyo-Marui-Vtac-custom-M-amp-P9-desert-tan-smith-and-wesson
I PM'd him and asked if he'd take 90 quid for it as I'd clearly have to replace the slide and grip (considering they're £130 new):
The dislikes and desperate bumps make me feel warm and fuzzy though.

Mods feel free to close/remove
There was a thread like this on another forum (Now closed) were we would scour the airsoft forums of the UK looking for dreamers asking outrageous prices for secondhand goods. Id rather this didnt turn into a sh*t slinging thread just a general laugh at how crazy some peoples prices are. I know myself and monty are usually on Z1 disliking the crazy prices already so if youve found some we have missed post away. Try and use the format below, Ill start
Cyma Glock 18 AEP - £70 plus postage and paypal fees!!!!!!!

Airsoft_Mr B reacted to TheFull9 in G-Code holster
'The range' airsoft list them, but are, of course, out of stock. You could contact either them or Tactical-kit to see if they'd get one in. Either that or save up and buy a bunch of stuff from the states, they always use flat rate boxes so international shipping costs the same whether you're buying one thing or quite a few; that's the only way I found to make it viable.
Noticed eHobby and WGC Shop (both Hong Kong airsoft stores) have G-Code as well, but again no beretta models. If you really want the edge-works specifically I'd save up, wait for the next big sale in the states (they're every month practically) and get a few bits from here to make the shipping worthwhile (making sure to factor in VAT + parcel farce fee of about £12 of course):

If not, get something like a Blackhawk SERPA, IMI or Fobus. Much closer to home:

I've arranged a late evening to night skirmish at my local site, so it'd be rude not to have invested in these......
Looking forward to putting them into practice

Not the wisest purchase to start off with, I would've hired for a few games.

Airsoft_Mr B reacted to DX115FALCON in Falcon's Ainsley AUG
If this petition to get Ainsley Harriott on the £20 note gets 100,000 signatures then I will get this image engraved or drawn onto the lower receiver of the AUG that I will be buying at some point in September.
As I said, I'll be buying the AUG in early September. Engraving/painting would take place soon after.

Never been, but for £15 it's worth a shot. Very cheap compared to a lot of sites.

Airsoft_Mr B reacted to Sacarathe in Ammo Care Package idea
What is the advantage to this, over buying in bulk? What is your affiliation with the manufacturers? Will the service have hidden costs for international shipping, will you take payment in other currencies to save your buyers incurring exchange charges with their banks/paypal etc?

How much did you pay for it? Full height, torso length, or round?

Not because I wrote it, but because the info is useful: good idea to read this.
Also, if you haven't already found it, this is worth a look.
Welcome to the forums

Airsoft_Mr B reacted to Colonel Kurtz in Wanting to Start Airsoft
Think you've found the best local ones to be starting with already!
I live near Reading, Absolute Airsoft was my first site, they run two, one in Reading one on the edge of Maidenhead. The Reading one is primarily a paintball site, is good because it has lots of fortifications etc, but everything is covered in a grey sludge mix of dif paintball paints perished over the years that doesn't seem to wash off like it should so don't wear anything you don't mind ruining.
Zed Adventures is The Mall site (might see me and other addicts mentioning it far too often on these forums), which is a disused shopping mall (Friars Walk). My personal favorite.
Absolute Airsoft is woodland and a typical experience compared to majority of airsoft sites. Zed Adventures is a CQB site (Close Quarter Battle). They're two different shades of airsoft, so it'd def be a good idea to try both and see which you prefer.
Woodland sites give you much more room and time for teamwork/tactics etc, easier to play soldier in. CQB is much more fast paced and chaotic. I'd say in woodland sites are like playing paintball (often the same place and similar game scenarios) and CQB is more like playing Laser quest or similar (but with cool guns)
If you love it just don't rush out and buy a gun right-away, everyone does and it ends up sat unused in a box due to being too crap, the wrong type or painted 50% a bright color. Discuss potential purchases on here and the vets/trolls will guide you to a good choice/retailer.
Also - When you decide which site/day your going wouldn't hurt to ask on here if anyone's going too, and you'll probably find someone who'll be happy to guide you through the day. Definitely a good idea when going to The Mall as it's a bit of a maze at first.

Another mk23 mag from Gunfire.pl
This pistol is now fast becoming one of my primary weapons at both CQB and woodland.

Yeah that price is ridiculous for what it is.

Airsoft_Mr B reacted to Sitting Duck in G&G New Combat Machines and PolarStar
Not ultra impressed with some of the newer CM stuff...
DSG FireHawk was dire
The 300 BOT - hmm £170 still polymer and their fet's not got best reputation....
The newer stuff like split gearbox, fully electronic, new pneumatic nozzle, plug in battery notor modules....
Owner is gonna be f*cked for upgrade options in quite a few of those areas
Believe it or not I love G&G CM's but think they might be shooting themselves in the foot if quality suffers and I think they are making it more complex that it likely will fail. More stuff to go wrong and screwed for usual choice or replacement parts.
That is my gut feeling, think they need to not be too ambitious and make gradual improvements ensuring the new stuff is as solid as the tried n tested old skool stuff
