  1. I'm happy with the Kydex ones to be fair, although as you mentioned the pockets are snug enough to not really need retention anyway!
  2. So I tried the inserts over the weekend: They're quite a bit shorter than the kydex ones I have (long Esstac ones) Basically the MP2 inserts are too short for the mag pouches. The kydex ones fit snugly under the cord loops though.
  3. Been offline for a bit, but I'll try and get you some pics shortly. I have the knock off airlite harness and it's rather good. Cheap too so...
  4. MP2 inserts might be a bit short. I can try mine if you want?
  5. OK, so the Gen IV I have is an Emerson clone so I can't say for certain if it's true across the board BUT, I have PTS EPMs in Kydex inserts in mine and they're fine. The bigger issue for me is that the mag pouches are really deep so there's not actually much of the mag sticking out to get hold of unless you have Ranger plates or Magpuls. Not sure of your colour preference but worth checking out this dude on ebay https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/154388539468?hash=item23f246284c:g:shMAAOSwFpddVIVa he has quite a selection of Mayflower stuff. US based and shipping may make it too pricey but still. Also - what about someone like WTF? Their stuff is nice, not too pricey and modular too. https://www.wtfidea.com/gear/
  6. Noob "I really want A but I also like B" Forum based expert "I heard that A is a piece of crap don't buy that" Noob *begrudgingly spends money on B because despite being perfectly good it wasn't really what he wanted but someone on the internet said that was shit Person with up to date info "so why didn't you buy the one you really wanted? They've been sorted out now and work absolutely fine" Noob *sad face, carries on using gun he bought all the while quietly battling the internal monologue that everyone on the internet talks shit and why didn't he just get the one he really wanted until the day he finally snaps and beats a badger to death with the gun he never really wanted in the first place. See? Do you hate badgers @Adolf Hamster? WON'T SOMEONE THINK OF THE BADGERS!!!!!
  7. Oh absolutely, but if someone gets put off a perfectly good purchase because of out of date information then that's just as bad in my book. At the beginner end of the pricing spectrum pretty much anything is likely to have some level of inconsistency, but to be fair so does the high end (I'm looking at you VFC) so it always opens up the possibility that whatever you recommend there will be some people that think the POS you dismissed is the second coming and that the gun you recommend because you have several and they're all fine shouldn't be contemplated even if your life depends on it. None of the sample sizes in airsoft are sufficiently large or unbiased as to be able to make absolute yes/no choices and no given manufacturer is a reliable option right across the range (yes, even Tokyo Marui have some crap guns). Both of the options that the OP asked about are decent enough choices both as they come and as a platform for improvement.
  8. Yes, there were issues with the Specna Arms Orion gearbox. However, unlike a lot of other manufacturers they listened to customer feedback and fixed it. Unfortunately shit sticks and airsofters are a curmudgeonly bunch and it doesn't take much for them to tar every single product a company makes with the same brush. Anyway, they're both good guns, pick whichever fits your budget and you like the look of best.
  9. Fair. https://victory-outdoor.com/uw-chest-rig-gen-iv-multicam.html or https://www.scopex.fr/en/products/tactical-chest-rigs-and-harness/ or https://www.insidersl.com/product/uw-chest-rig-gen-iv/ are the main EU distributors for Mayflower but they only seem to have the Gen IV. Might be worth contacting them to see if they can get the Gen V in for you? None of them are cheap mind you! As and when they have stock, Tactical Kit will ship to Europe.
  10. We ordered some stuff for a customer at work about a month ago, was shipped from Europe and delivered by UPS within 2 weeks.
  11. If you're happy to have a knock off, Emerson Gear make a good Gen V rig.
  12. They're a great company. Bought a few bits from them!
  13. Yep, it's slatwall. If you're happy to collect (shipping will be pricey) there's plenty of second hand stuff going on ebay for very little (lockdown 1 - retailers 0).
  14. The Gen 4 would take AK74 mags but probably not AK47 ones, but the Gen V has interchangeable inserts so you can swap them about to your hearts content. I have a knock off one set up for M14 mags and works well. https://www.tactical-kit.co.uk/mayflower-uw-gen-v-split-front-chest-rig-33488-p.asp
  15. On that note, I'd highly recommend these chaps https://www.flecktarn.co.uk/camouflagekit_tropicalmulticam.html as they sell both LK and TruSpec.
  16. Was it because they're an ITAR restricted item?
  17. So in essence we're talking a long barrelled MOSCART I guess? Looks cool!
  18. Not seen much evidence of that online, if the receiver breaks then you have a reasonable range of choice available these days for replacements This. 100%.
  19. As I understand it the WE 416 GBB has issues with the bolt catch itself wearing quite quickly and causing issues. A quick google for "WE HK416 bolt catch" throws up a whole bunch of threads on it.
  20. Looks great, how are you reducing the power though? These things come in 16J and 7.5J don't they?
  21. It's one of the slings issued by the USMC. They also use the Raine Inc manufactured adjustable 2 point which is generally considered to be much lower quality.
  22. Anyone had any dealings with Mael Eòin Tactical at all? Placed an order 11 weeks ago but they've gone completely quiet on comms.

@DrAlexanderTobacco totally agree , there’s no excuse for poor or none existent comms , no matter how busy you are You can still take a few minutes at the start of the day to send a generic “sorry for the delay” email just to show the customer they haven’t  been forgotten . I once had a TM EBB with a tech guy for near 15mths while he was trying to find a part but every mth around the date I’d sent it to him I’d get the same update of “still looking” but I was happy with that as it showed I wasn’t forgotten  .
