  1. Depends how long reach but Teng do some good ones
  2. I like to make people work for it! Indeed though, 'tis an FFI Tigerstripe G3 set.
  3. Because it's all about looking good.
  4. Noob "I really want A but I also like B" Forum based expert "I heard that A is a piece of crap don't buy that" Noob *begrudgingly spends money on B because despite being perfectly good it wasn't really what he wanted but someone on the internet said that was shit Person with up to date info "so why didn't you buy the one you really wanted? They've been sorted out now and work absolutely fine" Noob *sad face, carries on using gun he bought all the while quietly battling the internal monologue that everyone on the internet talks shit and why didn't he just get the one he really wanted until the day he finally snaps and beats a badger to death with the gun he never really wanted in the first place. See? Do you hate badgers @Adolf Hamster? WON'T SOMEONE THINK OF THE BADGERS!!!!!
  5. Oh absolutely, but if someone gets put off a perfectly good purchase because of out of date information then that's just as bad in my book. At the beginner end of the pricing spectrum pretty much anything is likely to have some level of inconsistency, but to be fair so does the high end (I'm looking at you VFC) so it always opens up the possibility that whatever you recommend there will be some people that think the POS you dismissed is the second coming and that the gun you recommend because you have several and they're all fine shouldn't be contemplated even if your life depends on it. None of the sample sizes in airsoft are sufficiently large or unbiased as to be able to make absolute yes/no choices and no given manufacturer is a reliable option right across the range (yes, even Tokyo Marui have some crap guns). Both of the options that the OP asked about are decent enough choices both as they come and as a platform for improvement.
  6. Yes, there were issues with the Specna Arms Orion gearbox. However, unlike a lot of other manufacturers they listened to customer feedback and fixed it. Unfortunately shit sticks and airsofters are a curmudgeonly bunch and it doesn't take much for them to tar every single product a company makes with the same brush. Anyway, they're both good guns, pick whichever fits your budget and you like the look of best.
  7. We ordered some stuff for a customer at work about a month ago, was shipped from Europe and delivered by UPS within 2 weeks.
  8. Anyone had any dealings with Mael Eòin Tactical at all? Placed an order 11 weeks ago but they've gone completely quiet on comms.

@DrAlexanderTobacco totally agree , there’s no excuse for poor or none existent comms , no matter how busy you are You can still take a few minutes at the start of the day to send a generic “sorry for the delay” email just to show the customer they haven’t  been forgotten . I once had a TM EBB with a tech guy for near 15mths while he was trying to find a part but every mth around the date I’d sent it to him I’d get the same update of “still looking” but I was happy with that as it showed I wasn’t forgotten  .

  9. Really quite impressed with it. I have a Vector Optics one as well but the Victoptics being an FFP scope puts it slightly ahead. As you say though, good, clear glass and crisp illumination.
  10. It's literally just the latest version of this:
  11. I have that sight!
  12. And the prize for oldest necro post of the day goes to....
  13. from here: https://www.gov.uk/goods-sent-from-abroad?step-by-step-nav=849f71d1-f290-4a8e-9458-add936efefc5 also this: BUT that assumes that the sender has charged you VAT at point of purchase and is registered to reverse charge HMRC. If they haven't then the you will still have to pay the VAT yourself. As far as HMRC is concerned it'll be down to you to either check that they have paid it or to pony up the difference. If you think you've overpaid then you'll need to fill in the appropriate form and throw yourself on the tender mercies of HMRC https://www.gov.uk/guidance/apply-for-repayment-or-remission-of-import-duties-c285-chief
  14. No, you're the importer. It's your responsibility to ensure that the tax gets paid either by the seller IF they're registered with HMRC to pay it directly or yourself if they're not. It's the carriers responsibility to collect the tax on the behalf of HMRC but it's still your responsibility to pay it.
  15. Couple of quick points, first off try routing the V-lite UNDER the bungees on your cover. The cheap ones have a habit of delaminating from the velcro backer when they get hot. Also, try angling the light over your left ear downwards. They're relatively short throw and quite directional so if you want to use it to see where you're going you'll have to look down a lot, a bit of downward angle will help you maintain your forward field of vision (although I would suggest the mandible may well obstruct your downward field of view anyway).
  16. Firstly - excellent choice of tunes. Secondly - it's as much about matching the impedance as it is amplification. The headphone output of a p[hone is quite low impedance to match up with normal headphones, COMTACs and the like will need an amplifier of some kind, not necessarily a PTT but you could do a lot worse than to talk to John at JCi Communications https://www.facebook.com/Jci-Comms-222286948363715/
  17. I'd say you're fine on the colours. Rangers were wearing 3 colour DCU with choc chip helmet covers which is what you have.
  18. A rail mount torch will fit on the rail sections at the front end of the handguard, if that places it too far forward to reach the controls then a remote tape switch could be fitted to the top rail or (less ideal) you could fit and offset mount to let you attach the torch further back but still place it to the side.
  19. Ha! The ongoing chase of ever decreasing circles eh? That said, if it is new old stock I've not really had any issues with mag compatibility with any of my Maxx hops (using PTS EPMs and, rather surprisingly, Nuprol mids).
  20. The TE was the model before the current one (ME) so if it's an actual knock off not just old stock then it's based on an older design. That said, I have a genuine Maxx TE hop unit and it's been great for me.
  21. Yeah @L3wisD what's the deal? Hmmm? I'd say that you could get 3 guns in that package. WHAT AREN'T YOU TELLING US? WE WANT THE TRUTH DAMMIT!!!!
  22. I have their MK12 suppressor and it's LOVELY!
