  1. It was private land, the fine was issued for breaching the Rule of Six, no other action was taken.
  2. and our resident Red Shirt at the front! 🤣
  3. That's me in the middle at the back, rocking my new FFI Tiger Stripe G3's
  4. I never said that you did. I was referring to the "general consensus" of the great airsoft unwashed that believes every word they see on social media.
  5. Yes....and also, no. The One Series never stopped being good but the original Edge and Core series guns with the Orion gearbox were gash. People bitched about them but unlike most other manufacturers they listened and sorted their shit out. The Orion box still has some issues but they're nowhere near as bad as they once were. Of course in airsoft (even more so than normal life it seems), shit sticks so "all Specnas are shit".
  6. My One is 5 years old now and it's still running the original compression parts.
  7. Let's not tar them all with the same brush, it's the ones with the Orion gearbox that sucked donkey balls.
  8. Nice. How are you finding the Cyma MP5 mags?
  9. Seems KWA get the Hulk to tighten their barrel nut Sounds like brute force and ignorance is the order of the day!
  10. Anyone else at Red Alert this weekend?

  11. Severely torn between making a Strike Back G3 and a G3SBS. Yours looks nice!
  12. Hi there, seems you're not the only one having nozzle issues!
  13. I like the concept with the cupboard joint block but that would only work for a fixed stock. A sliding stock would need more stability at the top, plus the JG has a metal upper which makes it harder to get rid of the plates at the back end of the stock arm channels (not impossible though).
  14. @Bert918 just to clarify, he means the angle at which the motor pinion engages with the bevel gear. AOE is more often used to refer to the angle at which the sector gear meshes with the piston rack.
  15. An MP5K battery usually sits in the tube along the top, not sure if you have that space available in your A3. As for the receiver mods, this pic shows the main difference quite well: The top two are K receivers, the bottom one is a standard type. You'll notice that the front part of the body just in front of the magwell is longer on a K and that the cocking tube sits further back too (it's not just shorter). If you have the ability to 3D print an adaptor that will give you the support you need for an A3 stock then it will very possibly be easier to open out the stock rails and do it that way rather than trying to make the A3 front into a K. If cutting out the stock rails is a no go then this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AF-Stinger-Tanker-Toy-Stock-For-Marui-G-P-M-Series-Airsoft-AEG-AF-ST0015T2-/184366320939 with an MP5-M4 stock adaptor would get you close.
  16. As a fellow haver of bear paws for hands I feel your pain! AEG grips in general are wide (side to side) but if you want more depth (front to back) you could do a lot worse than a Magpul MIAD style. Visually similar to the other Magpul grips but with alternative backstraps you can use to adjust the grip size. For the GBBR, I'd suggest a proper Ergo Grip https://www.brownells.co.uk/epages/UK.sf/en_GB/?ViewAction=ViewFaceted&ObjectID=1987195&FacetValue_CategoryID=12613&CurrencyID=GBP
  17. It's not that straightforward though. Firstly there's a lot of chopping about to do to remove the rail blocks that obstruct the stock rails, then there's the issue of the rear end of the k receiver not having anywhere for the stock cap pin to go through (the end cap pin is further forward on the K). You might be able to get something like this to fit https://airsoft.tiger111hk.com/p44278/SRC-MP5-AEG-PDW-Retractable-Stock-(Black)/product_info.html
  18. 1) Maxx hop units. I have a couple and they're great but if you don't NEED the extra funtions (built in tracer, BB retainer, flat hop/R-Hop nubs and arms) then a cheap ZCI rotary hop unit or even the standard one will be fine. The Cyma hop unit is pretty decent. If you're using the Maple Leaf rubber you need to use the Maple Leaf Omega nub, they're designed to work together. The shaped nubs that come with the Maxx hop unit are machined aluminium and are designed for R-hop/flat-hop and they're too hard for the ML rubbers, they tend to make the shots pretty inconsistent! 2) BLS ammo is decent, I've used some myself and quite liked them. 3) Barrels. Prometheus EG are very good, I have a Lambda barrel but have yet to fit it so can't comment. I do like the ZCi barrels as they're good quality and priced well. The main thing to remember about barrels is that it's more about the quality of the bore (how smooth it is, how accurate it is, how straight it is) than anything else. 3) Cleaning. Yes, standard kitchen towel will work as long as it doesn't fall apart. Cut a strip rather than tearing it so you don't leave loose fibres behind. Better would be a Jeye Cloth https://www.amazon.co.uk/s?k=jeye+cloths&adgrpid=104274814512&gclid=CjwKCAjwn6GGBhADEiwAruUcKgiUOoYT2ZBItbEu8ffgmtmH3YcYwAdXh6wzYZPXBwzvuwWTTSC8hhoCiIMQAvD_BwE&hvadid=447271061678&hvdev=c&hvlocphy=9045742&hvnetw=g&hvqmt=e&hvrand=4483414666538663342&hvtargid=kwd-317469785021&hydadcr=28146_1752652&tag=googhydr-21&ref=pd_sl_5j462045qj_e_p49. Alcohol is fine for cleaning, any half decent silicone spray will work for lubing your rubber but make sure you don't overdo it and make sure you don't get it on the inside if you can help it! Don't use WD40 though. As ever, if you're going down the DMR route then this is a must read https://www.reddit.com/r/airsoft/comments/5g58ia/holy_grail_dmr_guide_updated_for_20167/ Good consistency shot to shot is the key.
