  1. Awkward. That's what you are - awkward. Stereotypes only appear when a whole bunch of people have similar traits. So yeah...they do.
  2. But if you have a UV-5R then you can start doing all that funky CTCSS stuff so other people can't hear your super secret tactical directions, even if they're on the same frequency!
  3. Like PMR, but without all that tedious mucking about with the fact that a UV-5R isn't legal on those frequencies (power too high, removable antenna). Not like PMR though because you have more power so you'll have no issue with range. If you run it in the BSL frequency range you are running in a legal range with a handset that will be legal if the site has their own licence. The licence covers a whole range of frequencies, not just one frequency per site.
  4. From the Titan power website: It'll fit, but the stock won't collapse all the way. If that's not a showstopper then yeah, go for it.
  5. I'd go with a 7.4V stick to go down the stock tube, probably around 1400mAh. Buy two and swap them over at lunch time if you want to be on the safe side. Get a decent balance charger while you're at it.
  6. Ah but if you stick to the Business Light frequency range (for example if you were to install the free software Chirp and download the BSL frequency selections) then you would be operating in a safe frequency range that doesn't interfere with any emergency services. Plus, if the site you play at has its own business use licence for their marshals then technically you would be covered by that anyway.
  7. They haven't. I tried a couple of days ago because they have Classic Army MP5s in stock with an SEF lower. Am sad now.
  8. Yep, I bought one from AliExpress and it works well!
  9. I'm a little from column A, a little from column B. I have a bunch of guns, some of them are cheap, some not so much. I do all my own teching (so far). I buy the guns I like the look of BUT they need to perform well for me (which is why I'm selling my bolty). I buy parts that work well and spend money where it will make the best impact. If it improves my day airsofting then it gets in, if not - out it goes.
  10. Around 3:50 he puts in an SR25 mag, he even points out that you may need to put something in the bottom of the pouch because they're shorter mags.
  11. This is a pretty decent review and he shows it running SR25 mags so maybe...
  12. Is that the Deadly Customs belt? How wide is it? I'm intrigued but I'm not convinced a 2" belt will fit through my trouser loops!
  13. Not sure if you got your things but I've had perfectly good service from them. Don't forget that "shipping in 24hrs" is not the same as "delivering in 24hrs".
  14. I think @Skara has a TMR so should be able to clarify but I'm fairly sure it's built around 5.56 platforms. The Competition MultiGun Rig might be better for you or maybe one of the plethora of "modular" rigs out there (Spiritus, Haley, WTF et al plus all the moody copies).
  15. Define a "healthy" weight. Do you want to be stronger? Or fitter? Or just heavier? If it's a purely aesthetic issue that you don't like being skinny then maybe it's more of a self image/mental problem than a weight problem?
  16. Well, yes. Exactly. Why have so many people fallen down the rabbit hole that they have to make super duper extra fast mag changes?

  18. Ah but it's all about stability, innit. The less effort you put into squeezing the trigger, the less likely you are to pull your shot off target. Plus..
  19. Fair enough. To be honest it would have been fine for a while but each to their own! At 350 FPS 0.28 should be absolutely fine, flat hop should allow you to use heavier ammo though so test it with the 0.28 ones and see how it goes. If it's overhopping them, start looking at heavier weights!
  20. Anybody have a Krytac handy they could check something on? I have a mates one he's asked me to look at and the hop arm pin is missing. Need a size so I can get a replacement!

  21. OK, he's fitted a flat hop nub so if he hasn't flat hopped the rubber or used one of their straight, moundless rubbers then that's odd. I'd say it should be fair to assume that it's running around 350fps (you could probably ask him to see what it chronoed at when he modified it - if he didn't test it then that's a problem). 0.28 should be no problem at all. If he has flat hopped it then you may well be able to go heavier. Do you have the full details of what he put in? More to the point, was this a new gun being upgraded or one you've had for a while?
  22. Which CYMA model was it? I had the CM045 and it was great!
