  1. OK, my last post was from my phone hence the brevity so let me expand. Lee (for he is Airlab) went on holiday but continued to accept orders. This created a backlog. The emails I've had from him have been nothing less than exemplary in the way to handle a problem. In general he has a very good reputation for good customer service and despite having waited a LOT longer than the OP for my parts I honestly don't feel in any way worse off for the experience. Personally I think people can be a little quick to dismiss someone as being useless without knowing the full story. It would be no different than one of the people NH Shooter is working on a rifle for getting the arse about his gun being late due to something outside of his control.
  2. How's your budget? Lowa zephyrs 5.11 Taclite 8" Pentagon Scorpion boots Under Armour Valsetz All nice and light but with the ankle support you'll need and won't get from mid height walking boots.
  3. How about a Flyee FAPC? http://www.military1st.co.uk/fy-vt-m001-od-flyye-fast-attack-plate-carrier-gen-1-molle-olive-drab.html small will fit an 8x10 plate.
  4. OK now we've established that, what's your budget?
  5. DAMMIT!!! Just when I thought I was close to getting my M4 back running, I turn over the sector gear and there's two teeth missing RRRAAAAAARGHHH!!!!

Stock TM sector or aftermarket one? I've seen a lot of problems with CORE sector gears grenading themselves and even XYT sets, which are generally very strong having issues with sintering QC. Some company needs to make a proper Injection molded +Machine finished gearset, instead of sintered sh*t. That said JG sets work on M150s but they are cast using molds made out of cat litter :P

Stock TM. It's the original and is donkeys years old. Just ordered a set of SHS 18:1 Super Shooter gears from AK2M4. It's only running an M95 spring so it's not hard work that killed it, just old age!

Zinc gears and especially TM ones love to grenade themselves, either suddenly from too higher power springs or work fine for 10 years then commit sepukku hara-kiri once the TM gods decide it's time to pay the salary of the Chinese kids making the upgrade parts. Aye, they be some very benevolent gods those TM folk.

  6. Plate carrier or chest rig?
  7. I ordered a sorbo pad a few weeks ago and hadn't heard from them. Got a reply and an apology plus my order yesterday. They have a large backlog at the moment. Give it a t least 10 days then email or call.
  8. This. If your gun is working properly, the difference in performance between 330 and 350 should be negligible.
  9. G&G P90 and F2000 both have adjustable strength springs (basically a preload screw I guess) so you can adjust the FPS. Or you could fit a GB with a quick change spring (my M249 has this) or go down the ICS route as suggested and have different uppers for different sites. Or, y'know.....BUY MOAR GUNZ!!!
  10. Yes, I have one on my M4. Be prepared for it to wobble a bit though.
  11. That looks gash. But that's fine if you've only got £15 to spend. There ARE better ones on ebay for similar money but do you want a vest or a chest rig (like what you've posted)?
  12. You don't need to buy one FROM Magpul. If you REALLY want a genuine Magpul get it from Midway UK (the link I posted) as this has already been shipped with all the correct paperwork. ITAR is a US measure to stop american made weapon parts being shipped outside the US. Unfortunately the blanket nature of the control precludes the sale of weapon accessories (like stocks, grips and sights) unless you can find a sensible/friendly dealer that will ship to the UK. £70 for a genuine Magpul stock is NOT expensive. It's also completely over the top for a CM16 when there's plenty of cheap knock offs about that will work just as well for you. (by the way - a genuine Magpul UBR stock retails nearer £350).
  13. 1: the gun is good, yes. Buy it. 2: no, dyeing the wood on an AK won't be good enough. Partly because all the cheap AKs aren't actually wood anyway but mostly because a tasteful shade of cherry doesn't look sufficiently unrealistic to qualify under the VCRA regs. 3: whatever you feel comfortable in running about and getting dirty is absolutely fine to wear. You'll probably forget about fashion and start being more bothered by practicality quite quickly though.
  14. Should be good enough for the money. Just remember to get a buffer tube and the long bolt you need to attach it.
  15. If you want that particular one, yes: http://www.midwayuk.com/epages/Midway_UK.sf/?ObjectPath=/Shops/Midway_UK/Products/2319195903/SubProducts/622676 If you want cheap chinese knock offs of PTS licenced airsoft replica magpul stuff then pretty much everywhere!
  16. They do a commercial spec one too.
  17. Also - still needs a buffer tube to attach to.
  18. Probably not. They're designed for actual guns not airsoft weapons. Also - you can't buy it direct due to this: ITAR International Traffic in Arms Regulations Controlled Product
  19. In terms of "real steel" (god I have that term) it's a platform capable of increased accuracy at range than a standard infantry rifle. Usually based off a similar platform to allow the Designated Marksman to share ammo with the rest of the squad if need be (not always of course). As far as airsoft is concerned it's pretty much all down to FPS. You can make a DMR out of an MP5 if you so desire. It's a way of having a semi auto AEG/GBBR that has higher FPS for better range/accuracy (yeah yeah I know) but without going to the extremes/play style of being a sniper.
  20. If price isn't an issue - why not the TM Recoil SCAR H?
  21. Ditto the dropleg of course... http://www.eliteukforces.info/gallery/uksf-misc/special-forces.php That's the great thing about the internet - you can find a photo to prove pretty much ANY point
  22. That'll be the M9 Tactical Master then (grip is a dead giveaway). Should be fine in a standard M92 or M96 compatible holster. The IMI listing on Ebay - the selection drop down is to pick which attachment you want on the holster, the listing is for a holster you just select wether you want paddle/belt/Molle attachments etc. Pick whichever you think is the most likely way you'll want to wear it because you can buy the different attachments quite easily if you fancy a change!
