  1. Sorry - it's a phrase that has entered my standard forum replies as a result of many hours wasted spent in worthwhile discourse on many other forums. It's not actually a request for pictures of his missus. Fret not.
  2. Pictures or it never happened.
  3. You answered that yourself - russian blood. Be content in the knowledge that it's testosterone that makes your hair fall out. You're going bald because you're too damn manly! (like me)
  4. I'm guessing he's posting from a phone. Or an alcohol induced coma.
  5. If I don't shave for 3 days I look like grizzly Adams! Of course being a software engineer for 20 years means I have a permanent goatee and ponytail. It's the rules innit.
  6. I've said it before but the people that annoy me the most are the ones that get all shirty because you're not "doing it properly". It's a game. It's supposed to be fun. If you come to an open day event and expect everyone to be a Milsimmer then you're going to be disappointed/upset/abused. If you get upset because there's too many kids running about with bright orange "toy guns" then maybe you need to move on to a different site (let's not forget that a £300 G&G is STILL a "toy gun") and a different style of play. Maybe it's just being a bit older but I just can't get that annoyed by people at a game that aren't playing the same way as I am unless they're just being total dicks and you don't need to be a "CoDsofter" to act like a dick. In fact I've seen more "me big serious soldier, me wear multicam everything" types acting like dicks because they just got pwned by a kid with a see through G36. There is room for all of us on the battlefield of plastic death so get on and enjoy the game/sport/hobby for what it is and let's stop the infighting before it destroys it all for everyone.
  7. They may be a pain in the arse, but at least it's getting people into airsofting....
  8. Ah right, my mates one is the fibre re-enforced nylon one. Honestly by the time you've spent the money on a metal receiver and gone through the joy of fitting it you'd have been better served getting a GC 16 Raider or similar. Not much more money and almost all metal. Still, enjoy the gun. They're nice.
  9. Nice, one of my mates has that. Sweet shooting gun for the money! The torch is a bit useless though.
  10. [pedant mode] All M4s are carbines [/pedant mode] M4s are the carbine version of the M16 due to the shortened barrel. It could have a solid stock on it and still be a carbine. But yes, it looks tiny. It's an optical illusion caused by being transparent. If it was black it would look bigger because the brain assumes black means solid and thereby bigger.
  11. ASG Franchi SAS (Benelli M3 shorty) - for close encounters
  12. Here's my current setup in action at the Malls on Sunday Warrior 901 Chest Rig and Back Panel Viper combat shirt Helikon BDUs Helikon cap BBA half mask with ear protection ESS Advancer V12s TM M4A1 with Magpul MOE handguard and the bits you can't see: Viper Duty belt Viper dropleg adjustable tactical holster TM MEU 1911
  13. Warrior 901 Chest rig base and back panel with Admin pouch and small utility. Ebay bargain!
  14. Tremonti is awesome. Love his solo album. I've been giving some pretty heavy rotation to the new Carcass album Surgical Steel. Probably a bit heavy for most people....
  15. It's big enough.... Which reminds me, where did I leave my chainsaw.....
  16. Just got my new kit bag - Protec M41 holdall like this 'un: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004QMO7KC/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Sufficiently cavernous to get all my gear in but with plenty of side pockets to keep the small stuff safe. That should keep the wife happy!
  17. Cool, thanks for that. The illuminated mag I have is dimmer than a silencer type (still enough to see where the rounds go in the dark mind) but you're limited to how many rounds you can get in it (it's a mid cap so around 120). When it gets to the really dark stuff it's a bit limiting.
  18. Let us know how the Madbull works? Thinking of one for myself (curtrently use a G&P illuminated mag).
  19. Anyone playing The Malls this Thursday night? First time back after my hand op. Can't wait!

  20. As a movie of Dredd, the Stallone one was poor. As an SF action movie I thought it was pretty good. The ABC robot was really cool and the whole thing would have made more sense if they hadn't cut some of the scenes they did. The new one is much more "proper" Dredd in my opinion though. Regardless I encourage everyone to join the FB group and sign the petition to get a sequel made! https://www.facebook.com/MakeADreddSequel
  21. You can get most of the early stories in collected editions these days. Amazon sell the Dredd Casefiles which is all the storylines from Prog1 on!
  22. Fantastic work there fella! Have a look at the Dredd Costuming Group on the Replica Prop Forum if you want to see some screen accurate stuff although you appear to already have exactly the right trousers! Oh and Ian, there's a stack of good old "analogue" 2000ads in my loft. goes back to about issue 100 (my mum made throw 1-100 away when I was a kid. Grrrr.) Nice to know I'm not the only old school geek!
  23. Just back from the regular lunchtime trip to Socom Tactical Today's buys: Dytac Navy Spartan M4 receiver kit Viper Drop leg adjustable holster usual bits and bobs
  24. If budget is unlimited and you're happy to be paying nasally for the brand then I'd say yes, go for a Vaio. Or a Dell XPS (and put up with the horrible customer service when it inevitably goes wrong). If budget and performance are your driving factors then Scan and Novatech would be my recommendations. The Novatech i7 based ones around £700 are pretty damn good and I've always had good service from them (we used them for work machines for a while).
