  1. I thought that. But then I thought - hey, who cares. He's having fun. Plus proper Pigs are WELL heavy!
  2. With the rail? Best bet (in my opinion at least) would be either the IMI one that Airsoft_Mr B linked to or a Safariland style. They won't fit a standard M92/96 holster because the rail makes the frame below the barrel too wide. Ultimately it really depends on personal preference, the TM pistols aren't so heavy that wearing them on your chest will be an issue as long as your chest rig/PC is set up right. If it's not adjusted correctly it'll sag under the weight.
  3. Drop leg holsters ONLY flap about if you're using them wrong. Prime example was the guy at The Malls at the weekend whose pistol was pretty much next to his knee. Granted the serpa/safariland styles are better as they have a rigid backplate that fits to your thigh but even then, most people have them set way too low and way too loose. My M9A1 (Socom Gear desert combat edition - all metal) is a heavy beast and it certainly doesn't flap about! The top strap on the drop leg needs to be pretty much scraping your nuts (but not actually - chafing is bad m'kay).
  4. Always worth buying a lanyard in my opinion, you can still drop your pistol even if it's in your hand! A lot of cheap copies about of the Blackhawk and Safariland stuff as the real stuff can be quite pricey. Fobus are worth a look too as the real deal kit isn't particularly pricey. Also IMI Roto Holsters. You will find though that weapon choice may restrict you in the range of holsters you can use. For example there's plenty of M92 holsters about but not many for the M9A1 with a rail. God forbid you want a holster for an M9 WITH a torch on! Glock and Sig seem to be the de rigeur choice these days and every man and his dog does a hundred different holsters for them!
  5. Fear not, we all have the "Did I buy the right gear?" dilemma at first and it's a rare and lucky player that gets it right first time.
  6. 2:01 perfect example of what SHOULD happen when pyro goes in.
  7. Anyone else had issues buying from Airlab? Ordered a sorbo pad weeks ago and nothing has turned up yet!

I've emailed and rang and left a message.

When I placed the order I had a good response rate from Lee as the first attempt at orderiing got FUBAR'd so I emailed to make sure he received it. All was well but that was May 16th and I've had no response to email or my phone message since then. I understand he may be busy with a backlog as he did have some time away but a response would be nice.

Rank 45 as part of the all kit weapons. Classed as a PDW (yeah....I know).
  9. In these situations I/we (my buddies are of a similar mindset) tend to go for the "lead by example" approach of using the age old battle cry "Oh FFS, get out of the way" and charging headlong into the foe. Sometimes it breaks the stalemate, sometimes it just serves as amusement but either way - it's not me standing in the midst of a gagglefuck anymore!
  10. Definitely sounds like something is fucked then. Could be they haven't got the hop rubber in properly and it's not sealing or they've screwed up something in the gearbox trying to fit a different spring.
  11. Sounds like someone has fucked that up for you. Mine was chrono'd yesterday at 330ish on 0.20s. 190 sounds very low to me.
  12. Print it out on paper the size you want it so you can plan your layout. And get some good scalpel blades cos you're gonna need a few to cut and weed an entire gun! Paint mask vinyl WILL give you a sharper edge but getting it around all the fiddly bits would take some major patience. Finishes like Kryptek actually look better hydrodipped unless you want a colour they don't do.
  13. Truth. Unfortunately having started trying to lose some of my not inconsiderable weight they've disappeared off my regular snack schedule. The small bags are the best parts of 600 calories !
  14. The SPAR near our office sells them, They're ace - I used to get mine from Stateside Candy (www.americansweets.co.uk - you can thank/curse me later) but there's now a UK importer that ships the small bags. The Honey Mustard ones are awesome!

Levelling in BF3 does take some grinding. If you can do some of the assignments to unlock better guns it's definitely worth it. Hardcore servers tend to have less nobends but DO have friendly fire active so watch out for that! Sounds like you need a better machine to play on though
  16. If anyone can find the dxf or vector art for that pattern I can try running it through my vinyl cutter.
  17. "Don't be afraid to take charge" but don't be a dick about it. Not everyone likes a chairborne general shouting "MOVE THE FUCK UP!!!" in their ear at every door way or choke point.
  18. A chrono is a chrono is a chrono. That said, some makes differ than others (Madbull ones are kinda notorious for it). What makes you think it's wrong?
  19. If I could give only one piece of advice - Don't be a dick. If I could give more - have fun and don't be a dick.
  20. If you check the small print on the burst wizzard site, they're only selling the latest version which is why the others are not available.
  21. You'll need to rewire your gearbox and maybe make a hole for the wires to come out through (don't quote me on that - I've not taken a G&G apart) but other than that it should be pretty straightforward.
  22. Todays purchase That'll be me ready for The Malls on Sunday then
  23. I have a WAS 901 chest rig with the back panel. Best of both worlds that way, you have the smaller, lighter chest rig with the added protection and MOLLE real estate of the back panel. I got mine as a set on ebay for £70ish if I remember correctly. Choose your pouches wisely and you'll be fine. I run two double M4 pouches (I can carry up to 8 mags at a time), a double pistol mag pouch, triple 40mm grenade pouch and a torch/suppressor pouch and there's still space on the front! If you only use the lower part of the chest rig you can fold the "bib" part down and tuck it away inside. You could also look at things like the Condor Recon rig which has mag pouches permanently attached which while a little less versatile is certainly cheaper (under £40 from Military 1st). I guess it's partly down to looks, partly down to practicality. I find a plate carrier is too sweaty to wear all day - a chest rig with just the straps is certainly lighter and airier!
