  1. Also - with the upper not going all the way back, is the gun front or rear wired? If front, take a look into the magwell and check the wiring isn't fouling the hop unit.
  2. Can you take a pic of the inside of the receiver with the plate and charging handle in? I can't really tell what's not right from that.
  3. From that picture you've got the plate on the wrong side of the charging handle extension It needs to be between the handle extrension and the receiver.
  4. See - this is the other thing I like about you. You get all of a lather about some shiney new thing, someone says "don't be a dick" and you say" oh..OK then". We likes n00bs that listen
  5. Or indeed the most epilepsy inducing
  6. Right - it's bit of a faff but I'm guessing there's a little groove (probably a stuck on strip of rubbery plastic) just below the ejection port hole on the inside of the receiver? With the upper receiver off and the barrel etc well out of the way you need to place the ornamental cover into the receiver making sure the end of the charging handle engages into the edge of the cover (so that pulling the handle still pulls the cover back). Gently slide it into place in the groove and you should be all hunky dorey again.
  7. Good luck with the shimming! I tried, failed, put the original gears in. They stripped, fitted SHS Super Shooter flat gears and now it's way quieter than it ever was! Thing is that IF you can get the shimming dead on helical gears are pretty much silent. Getting the shimming spot on is the tricky bit!
  8. When your sig is bigger than the post...it's time to rethink your sig.
  9. You can also get ones with slots cut in the side to simulate muzzle flash. Works better than the ugly ass PoS in the OP.
  10. Quieter gun eh? In that case you'll want to look at shimming it properly and maybe a different piston head. Sorbo pad to lessen the impact noise (which will then pretty much force you to do an AoE adjustment - no bad thing).
  11. Gunman Eversley still do Flying Lead Filmsim days (this one was in February this year - https://www.facebook.com/events/606432199400121/ )
  12. Flex. Flex, Flex, Flex. How do I put this..... You've just started (YAY!), you're enthusiastic (DOUBLE YAY!) and you have aspirations of greatness (HUZZAH!). BUT - you have just started. Setting your sights high is one thing. Saying already that you simply must have a training weapon is pretty much the equivalent of a guy driving around on P plates asking everyone about the service intervals on a Lamborghini. By the time you've been playing long enough for your CM16 to be the limiting factor in your games you will almost certainly have realised that actually a better G&G or indeed the Marui Recoil range is more than good enough for what you want. Nothing wrong with aiming high, nothing at all. Just maybe get a bit more play under your belt first to prevent going off half cocked...
  13. In all these situations I do my level best to take the high ground and just walk away. The other guys just reinforce to the marshal that they're the ones being idiots plus life really is too short to get that aerated about a game of soldiers in the woods. Walk away, move along, get on with having fun.
  14. Helical gears are usually recommended when you're trying to increase FPS rather than RoF. They have a greater meshing area on the gears which allows them to consistently produce stringer torque. If you're after increased RoF I'd stick with good quality flat gears (SHS Super Shooter, Siegetek, Lonex etc). There'll be plenty of other things to absorb your cash if you're going down the high RoF route!
  15. I use napalm and a scotch brite pad. Of course... my guns screwed but it's shiny :-)
  16. Helical gears are a pain to shim properly. If you get it right they're near silent. If not they sound like a cat eating wasps. In a can. Going over a waterfall in a dishwasher.
  17. More to the point, no money changed hands. Other than realising the blokes a bit of a tosser no harm has been done so there would be no grounds for legal action whatsoever.
  18. I feel it only fair to point out that the last post may contain traces of sarcasm, irony and possibly peanuts.
  19. This. I hate to sound harsh but why the hell would you leave that kind of gear in a van overnight in the first place? Especially if your livelihood (I assume this was rental gear) might depend on it.
  20. Just to check - he tried to scam you but actually didn't because your mum was sensible enough to ask around and not fall for it, correct?
  21. My first memory of games (outside of arcades that is) was playing some traffic light game on an old Commodore Pet at my middle school. I would have been around 12 I guess so 1982ish? God I feel old now.
  22. Cool. I need more guns then (no threats of divorce yet) Welcome to the madhouse, doghouse!
  23. I seem to remember that was actually a standard V2 GB in an AA12 shell?
