  1. Sounds like people who take running around the woods with a toy gun a little too seriously... Not for me.
  2. I was going to say rusmilitary.com but they seem to be out of stock of just about everything!
  3. Are you on the replica prop forum, or the UK garrison? Loads of excellent stuff there! Would love to do a full boba fett myself.
  4. CHEWIE! Hand me those hydrospanners!
  5. Oh, calm down. It's hardly a life threatening issue is it?
  6. Today we have learned: Some people like guns that look real and some people like guns that look like they're in video games. On the internet, both groups will get butthurt. I'll just leave this here:
  7. Because it can on a real gun, many assume the physics work the same way on an airsoft gun. More importantly the amount of length increase being discussed will make pretty much no difference anyway.
  8. You need to push the motor in more. The wiring should come up the back of the handgrip, either side of the bit where the rear baseplate screw goes into.
  9. Good thinking but it needs to be external thread 14 to internal thread 22.... I think Hephaestus make one but I need to check the sizes. To be fair I may just have to go full heretic and fit a railed guard anyway to be able to use a torch so that will help to see where I'm shooting. Not ideal but it might work.
  10. CYMA or MAG for AK mags?

      two_zero

      had good experience with both.

  11. Any idea where I can get a 22mmCW to 14mmCCW adaptor? The front end of the AKS is 22mmCW!
  12. Exactly. Which is why I'm considering building the guts of a B&T tracer into a PBS4. On account of it being the "right" suppressor for an AKS74U. Even if it does look like Stalins dildo!
  13. G&P do an AK47 waffle mag but I have an AK 74. Not sure if it won't look a bit...off.
  14. There's a HUUUUUUUUGE difference between behaving like a kid (trust me I'm not exactly Victor Mature myself) and thinking you're more mature than you are (see: CoD Kids).
  15. Firstly is there an off the shelf AK style tracer unit anywhere (I don't seem to be able to find one) second has anyone been able to fit the guts of A.N. Other tracer unit into a sov-bloc suppressor?
  16. Viper 3 point tactical sling. Cheap, works. Job done.
  17. FPS: low enough to be under the site limit, not so low as to make throwing handfuls of BBs at people a viable option Range: enough that throwing handfuls of BBs at people would be a waste of time (see above). I have to say I do wonder why people get so obsessive about this. There's so many variables at play that can affect the guns performance.
  18. The biggest issue I find with kids (well...pretty much the only issue) is that while they think they're incredibly mature for their age, they usually aren't. Which is when the conflicts of attitude start. I generally treat people as I find them so if someone is a dick to me they'll get ignored. If they want to play the game and have fun and not be a dick to everyone else then happy days. But as I said, that's everyone not just kids/teenagers/what have you.
  19. As per our PM conversation, if the spring has no tighter wound end then it doesn't matter which way round it goes. As for the gearbox being "safe" it should be absolutely fine. The one thing I would say is be very careful compressing the spring and getting it back in the gearbox. If you slip it will at the very least scare the bejesus out of you and scatter everything on your desk! Might be worth rounding out the corners of the cylinder cutout in the side of the gearbox though (apparently a known stress point). http://airsofttutorials.com/tutorials/strengthening-the-gearbox.html
  20. If you embark on the journey to fit a one piece hop then I wish you well young man. I've been there. I feel your pain. Personally I would suggest maybe trying a genuine Marui 2 piece hop first. Failing that you have two choices for fitting a single piece unit; modify your lower receiver with a Dremel to remove the screw mounting points and make a cutout between the freont pin lugs to allow the hop to slide out with the upper OR buy a new receiver designed to work with a single piece hop. If you choose the first you run the risk of screwing it up and destroying your receiver. If you choose the second you risk running into a whole host of issues with incompatible parts (trust me on this - I speak from bitter experience). You could well be potentially better off just cutting your losses and getting a Combat Machine. If you do decide that the manly path of spending more than is entirely sensible trying to get a cheap gun to shoot straight is the path for you, I am here to help. No, really.
