Viper Tactical Molle torch http://www.vipertacticalshop.co.uk/viper-tactical-molle-torch.html?cookies_accepted=Y Bright enough to navigate by, not a searchlight. Mid skirmish the only attachment I need to add or remove is a tracer which I can do blind because I know where the pouch is on my rig and I know where the end of my gun is (it has a QD thread on the flash hider to make life easier).
-
Which is the WHOLE point in my eyes. If you like the look of it then go for it. Ares have a bot of a reputation for unreliable internals but the current amoeba series seem to be addressing that as they are selling well. The thing to bear in mind about the Honey Badger is that it's an M4 at heart with a different stock and a suppressor sunk back inside the handguard. I think they look quite nice regardless of how aesthetically accurate they may or may not be. As far as I am aware the actual Honey Badger hasn't made it into mass production anyway so it's not like there's loads of real ones about to compare to.

Dismounting to fight makes you Dragoons or mounted infantry. Firing from horseback would still qualify you as cavalry though (which is after all, where carbines started).

Interesting.... -
Larp stuff usually has a stiff core so you can twat each other with them without completely knackering them. Unfortunately for most sites that means they're TOO stiff. Of course that hasn't stopped someone at the Malls getting 18 kills with a dildo.
-
If you want an ACTUAL honey badger replica it's your only choice at the minute. If you want an M4 based gun then the world is your oyster, there's feckin hundreds out there.
-
It's OK, just a bit of lighthearted ribbing Personally I've yet to find a SCAR with a tracer on to be too long to use in CQB so I don't entirely subscribe to the whole "must have short gun for indoors" idea. I still want an MP5 SD6, an MP5K and a P90 but more cos I think they're cool....
-
Well. That's shit. Whoever designs these things?
-
I thought SA80's took standard STANAG mags? In which case you can use it in an M4 no problem (assuming they feed OK).
-
Surely by that train of thought you should be looking at a FiveSeven and a P90?

That. It's a coiled spring but to be honest, mine works OK. Just lucky I guess. Haven't tried using a high cap STANAG yet on account of how there's only SO much winding I can do before I get bored! -
Problem fitting Suppressor to an AK. Help!

Gaffa tape is like the force. It has a light side and a dark side and it holds the universe together. -
You'd be surprised. Waste recycling facilities actually hand sort a lot of what you throw away. Which is why you should ALWAYS shred your personal documents before you chuck them in your bin.

New patch. Cos I can. -
So the day one reviews haven't been as stellar as I would have hoped. Anyone actually been playing? From the video I've seen of day one gameplay I'm happy to wait for this on PC as the controls seem a bit clumsy (not a fan of shooters on console anyway to be frank) and hopefully the world will end up a bit better populated.
-
Eh? Why does having guns while mounted make them not cavalry?
-
Yes, but you'd be better off changing to a different style of handguard with rails to let you attach a torch more easily. Try not to confuse "upgrade" with "accessorise" though, "upgrade" is generally taken as changing the internals to achieve better performance (which to be honest you shouldn't need for a while yet) whereas the bits you bolt on to change the look are more "accessories" - stocks, handguards, sights etc. You WILL ask loads of questions on what to get (Flex will advise you to buy everything the same as he did but that's just his way and we love him for it - kinda like a little puppy), you WILL spunk a load of cash on stuff to bolt onto your gun to make it "yours" and you WILL end up with most if not all of it skulking around on your bedroom floor when you realise it eith doesn't help, doesn't fit or makes your gun too heavy to bother with. Don't feel bad about it though, everyone does it. It's like an airsoft rite of passage if you will. This is the handguard with built in torch http://www.wgcshop.com/wgc2008/main/product_detail1.php?search_From=searchItem&item=GP-ACC-726A&search=special&rs=m500&catid=&cat=&view_choice=a or you could get a Magpul MOE style handguard but you'll also need the rail kit to be able to bolt torches on. Failing that you can look for a 7" RIS handguard.

If it can charge NiMh batteries at the right voltage and current then it should be fine (all the airsoft battery technology comes from the RC market originally anyway it's mostly just the shape of the batteries that differs).
-
Regardless of the validity of the principle, personally I'd say that the Firehawk has SUCH a short barrel it's probably not worth dicking about with. In my opinion at least.
-
Sorry but as far as warranty goes I don't think you'll have any comeback at this point. You've opened the gun and changed bits for a kickoff. Had you taken it back straight away then maybe you could have had a claim under the Sale of Goods act as it wasn't fit for purpose but I'm afraid you're well past that point now. Which raises a very interesting point (to me at least) about the whole "buying a gun and changing stuff straight away" question. If you buy something and it's crap out of the box, why try and fix it yourself when you should be able to just return it as unfit for purpose and get a replacement? (not having a pop at you by the way BrightCandle as I know you've been through this loop already) Too many people seem to just accept the shortcomings of a BRAND NEW GUN and go straight to "what do I need to do to make this work properly?". Why would manufacturers ever bother to improve their products if we all just blindly accept that Brand "X" needs a different hop up/barrel/whatever as soon as you open the box?

Internally they're the same gun. Pick the one you like the look of. Cheapest route for battery and charger is NiMh http://www.zerooneairsoft.com/product_info.php?products_id=5790 and something along the lines of this: http://www.zerooneairsoft.com/product_info.php?products_id=2656 You could get a LiPo 7.4V battery for a similar price but the charger will cost more as you should really get a decent balance charger for them (which run around £35+). MAKE SURE YOU BUDGET A DECENT AMOUNT FOR EYE PROTECTION!!!!!

The Scale Models/War gaming discussion and pictures thread.
Lozart replied to AirsoftTed's topic in Off-Topic Discussion
You get what you pay for! That is a 1/72nd model so it's huge and FM make spectacular detail on their kits. There is a 1/144 scale Falcon too that is about £43 and far easier to justify.....
