  1. On the grounds that the last time I replied how I wanted to when faced with a post that annoyed me this much it got moderated, I'll just say we'll have to agree to disagree on this.
  2. P90 SCAR-L CQC M249 Para (yes, you can do this. I have) Couple of pistols and shed load of mags. G36K HK 416 To be honest a lot of people will tell you that you have to have something short for CQB. Now, I'm not about to tell you that an M14 is fine (although I have seen it done and an M16) but anything as long as a standard M4 will be fine for CQB. It's not the size of your gun, it's how you use it (oo-er).
  3. Behave, it's a piece of piss. As long as you have three hands
  4. Weird, my dytacs work fine with 0.25s....
  5. Pictures? What make is the gun?
  6. OK. Once again everyone is missing the point. The OP wants to know what he needs to have a shorter outer barrel on a Raider Long. This video is for putting a shorter barrel on a standard CQC length Raider but the principle should be the same: Then you're going to need to buy your new outer barrel, i would suggest a 10.5" one which will still allow you to re-use the existing front sight post. After that you're going to need a new inner barrel of the correct length (should be 300mm). Most aftermarket inner barrels are going to be tight bores so look for something as per the suggestions above which is a 6.03mm inside diameter. (check AK2M4.co.uk for these). Then you'll need to fit it (best doing this while the gun's apart for changing the outer) Then you'll need to post pictures here so we can all tell you what a wonderful job you've done/how to make it work again
  7. This. Every damn game. I swear on one day every swinging dick and his dog was aiming for the squishy bit of belly between my chest rig and my battle belt. Came home looking like a slab of corned beef
  8. I hope that's your mums bedroom. Otherwise you have an awful lot of necklaces....
  9. Engineering covers such an enormous range of diverse subjects that there's bound to be some part of it you'll find interesting. I went from electronics hardware to industrial automation. All engineering (I've since gone to the dark side and become a salesman but that's a different story). As a nation we need MORE engineers. Not maintenance techs - engineers. Get qualified, get a professional certification in your chosen field and get out there.
  10. I have one. Get the CQC version as it comes with a removable barrel extension. You get the best of both worlds that way. Great gun but yes, you'll need a spring downgrade (mine was about 400fps out of the box).
  11. LT2 will be fine http://www.abbeysupply.com/airsoft_gun_grease_lt2.html
  12. Sounds to me like something doesn't line up any more since you took it apart. Is it front or rear wired? If it's front wired then it may be the wiring needs slightly re-routing around the hop unit.
  13. Errmmm....no I don't think so. The last game we did was the 17th I think.
  14. If you've ever played when we're there you will know of the one we call "Greg". Always dressed in all black he has pretty much spent matches with nothing but BFGs, pyro and remote dets..oh and a Glock.

The games business is very fashion led. Currently the "future war" scenarios are flavour of the month. For a while it was all Vietnam, then Cold War, then China invading everything. I'm sure if you stick with it long enough you'll be seeing Call of Duty: The Somme soon enough.
  16. Why is it that every time there's a thread about games on any non gaming specific forum it always seems to be primarily populated by people that don't actually play many games if any at all? Destiny looks reasonable but it's not entirely lighting my fire yet. It does very much feel like "what Bungie did next". More looking forward to The Division to be honest. That and the new Rainbow Six.
  17. They have actually tried doing that in the past, when evening out the teams they'll try and make sure there's regulars that know the place on each side. The problem is that people don't like to be told (or even suggested) what to do. You can only help someone if they want your help! I've been there quite a bit and several times I've ended up being "squad leader" if you will but there's only so far you can go in that role when you have people with differing skill levels and different levels of desire to get stuck in. Funnily enough it's almost always the little kids on rental that are more willing to be guided than the guys with loads of kit but no idea where they are or what the objectives are! It's like "I know what I'm doing so I'm not listening to you" then spend three hours gaggle fucking in one corridor! If you can, try and get to a Thursday evening game. There's less people so it all becomes a lot more tactical and less people just wedging into doorways!
