  1. I have the g&g SCAR-L cqc. Most of the reviews that slag the internals are Americans trying to get 400 fps from them. Trigger response is a little slow but nothing you can't fix with a mosfet and a Lipo. Vfc arguably have better externals but are more expensive and (i believe) out of production.
  2. The Dytac Invader series has a single piece metal hop and a standard style V2 gearbox.
  3. Have a look for Night Evolution models, they're surefire clones at sensible prices.
  4. I'd say a spot of bad luck. This time of year you'll get the die hards and Billy-no-mates with nothing better to do. I'd suggest a different site for next time though.
  5. But of filler and a lick of paint, you'll never know...
  6. Depends on whether it's a milspec or civilian one...
  7. Every time we go to Orlando we go shopping. Every trip to zales in the Orlando mall has cost me at least $400. Be grateful for small mercies...
  8. Bear in mind that the models used in video games aren't always 100% accurate.
  9. Yeah.....but where's the fun in that? Madbull make diplomat barrels fyi.
  10. Just be glad there isn't a Zales anywhere near you.
  11. Looks more like an AKMSU with the curve on that mag.
  12. That's the shape they're supposed to be but you're right - it does look like it was done by the apprentice. On a Friday. Personally I'd have just junked it and got a decent metal one on there but that's just me and my profligate spending
  13. Like I said - if you have a mosfet with built in protection then you don't need a fuse.
  14. If you have a mosfet with an electronic self resetting fuse that gives short circuit and over voltage protection then yes, ditch the fuse. If however you do not have such a device fitted the fuse will act to prevent your wiring from melting if you do get a short somewhere. It might not prevent your burning out your motor if you use a different battery than was specified for the gun and you don't change the fuse rating appropriately though.
  15. I think it was Ian gere has done exactly that....
  16. Same here. Less so when I wear my contacts though.
  17. No lens protection on mine. I like to live dangerously!
  18. Sounds more like it was crooked rather than curved then?
  19. As long as you get a CYMA AK47 mag it should fit fine. There's no difference in the airsoft mags and the way they fit into the gun.
  20. Mine came from Socom Tactical. I was quite surprised that the Nextorch range isn't that much cheaper buying from HK to be honest. Well worth the money in my opinion whatever you get it for!
  21. Ideal number of guns = x+1 where x = current number of guns.
  22. Oh I don't doubt that for a second, but then there is a well documented gulf between the operational requirements of a government and the individual desire of the rank and file infantryman! Having followed an armoured patrol through Coleraine as recently as the 90's having an SA80 pointed straight at me, nobody could accuse them of trying to hide!
  23. See - I have the opposite problem; my fingers are relatively short for the size of my hands. I have no problem operating my M4 fire selector with my thumb but I can't reach the little tab on my AK selector without taking my hand off the grip (which is why I have a tactical selector en route from Bunny Workshop). Now, granted I did have an issue with the base of my thumb knocking the M4 selector very slightly in use which would usually knock it just far enough to engage auto but that seems to have gone now since changing to a Magpul grip which by design positions my hand slightly further back. The fire selector can also be stiffened up by tightening the screw inside the receiver that holds it on. Of all of the assault rifles I have the SCAR is by far the most easily useable fire selector. Instead of being a 9/12/3 o'clock position it's more of a 7/9/11 o'clock position and is ambidextrous. I tend to go up from safe to semi to auto using my thumb then back down again with my index finger first or second knuckle.

    M4 hop up

The metal shouldn't shrink THAT much. Plastics aren't unaffected by temperature variations either so it's worth seeing if your hop rubber needs attention before you start swapping out the hop itself.
