I'll put it this way: I have knowledge and experience using the Lathe in my (parents) garage. I have the tooling to using the lathe I have access to barrels to practice with I know what 'crowning' means I know what it should look like and how it effects the BB Do I actually bother to cut barrels down? No. Just buy one the right size and save the trouble. If it was easy, Madbull/PDI/Whoever would make 1 barrel length of 650mm and let you hacksaw it off at home yourself.

Is it definetly a 205mm you need? 229 is the shortest easily accessible one. Try a 229, if it's a bit long cover the extra length, DO NOT CUT A BARREL DOWN, you won't crown it properly without a lathe and then you've negated the use of the upgrades completely. Lubricating pistols is great fun for me. I hear allsorts being recommended by even my own co-workers: Spray here, here, here, loads in here, give a bit in there and it should be ok. What you SHOULD be doing: Remove slide Cloth/towell/paper to clean as much crap off slide rails as reasonably possible, should be grey coloured fine oil stuff coming off. Spray on the piston head, quick spritz into the nozzle gas route Small (2mm diameter) DROP (not spray) of oil onto the rails at the front and push it backwards with your finger. Don't bother with the trigger mech, they're greased fine from the factory. Any more than that or without cleaning the rails every time you re-lube and you're just making a grinding paste, accelerating wear on your pistol. I don't suggest doing anything more than that on most pistols as they aren't real, and are going to break within 3-4 years MAX. maintenance is to extend the longevity of the product, but the product does not have THAT long a life anyway, so why bother. Another tip, if someone asks to do something, ask why. If they know what they're talking about, they can tell you why to do something.

You'd be surprised how much of the male population it affects, and how deeply too. Surround yourself with good friends and pour yourself into your hobbies, it's kept me going through some worse times. Advice is fine, but it is a very, very personal thing to deal with. It's shitty that there are parents burying their kids, yeah, but it doesn't affect you. You just worry about your own issues. Try and go for a big life goal if you can. Learn to drive, get a girlfriend, learn an instrument, anything! Try to broaden your horizons and get out there. Exercise is very, very good to help depression. For me, what helped was being able to see people I liked when I wanted, but being forced to wasn't cool, so a way to take a day to yourself is fine every now and then. Shutting yourself in isnt good full time. It's what caused me to head downhill when all my mates went to uni, what helped big time when they came back and I can see it starting to effect the ones that don't come out often. Just remember that if you don't want to see a councellor, talking to anyone can help. If it takes making a second account and opening up anonymously to a bunch of slightly overweight, hairy old men with toy guns on here, so be it.

I've always had favour to the Madbull Blue, but they can be tricky to fit. recently been enjoying the (cheaper) guarder clear, but they are quite easy to tear (for a rubber, they don't just fall apart). Some people like some stuff that others wouldn't touch with a barge pole. Try a Guarder Clear first as they are a good rubber for most stuff and if you don't like it, it's not much money really.

Tightness and length have no real say on range/accuracy. (to be honest, I've always had best results with weapons barrel less than 300mm and a suppressor in front of the inner barrel) You want a quality barrel and hop rubber. And the Hop rubber is BY FAR the most important component. +1 to not listening to what airsofters on site have to say about performance characteristics of certain stuff. Same, really, be careful online too.

Goddamn, you have a good taste in AEGs. Mine is about 4/5 years old now and I've never opened the gearbox once. I have fitted a fast motor and use an 11.1 LiPo Front end is a madbull 6.03 and a Madbull Blue rubber Mine is awesome, I love it and I'd still happily take it out and trust it to work all day. The only fault really on mine is the hop winding itself off as you fire it (takes about 250-300 rounds from set to 0 hop) On the newer ones this is apparently only worse than mine You CANNOT change the stock. As much as I like the gun, you'd be better off buying an Evo.

Doing number 4 completely undoes the use of buying in Japan to start with.

Hop rubbers are the exact reason we actually use silicon based lubricants at all. Wouldn't have bothered putting any lube between barrel and rubber (but it'll get shot through the system, so don't worry) and I ALWAYS spray oil or grease the outside of the bucking for easy application into the hop unit.

on your selector plate, take off another 5mm or so to prevent the cut off lever being lifted up when it's set to auto. Easiest and most permanent way to lock to semi.

A Whole day!? I tend to get a bit sore when playing with others for more than a few hours, I tend to just put on a hi-vis and watch for a bit.

If you are happy that the gearbox is spot on, then go for it, makes the best electrical connection available. If not, just use spades like everyone else.

We DO NOT open the guns. They are as shipped (nicely at 310-320 fps) No one has messed with them since they left the factory doing 310-320. At the shop this is what happens: 1. Gun arrives from supplier 2. Gun is booked into stock (this it the point where our website automatically updates and shows stuff as in stock again) 3. Stock is put onto a rack, one rifle is put on display in the shop. 4. Your order arrives online 5. Karl or James prints off the invoice 5. The invoice is put into a picking box (plastic tub we use to collect the items together so nothing is missed) 6. Karl, James, Alex, Jack, Andy or sometimes myself picks up the box, reads the invoice and then collects the items into the box 7. Any guns are tested on the range for function, automatic, safety feeding and FPS reading 8. If we are happy the gun works then it is packed and labeled for shipping. 9. The nice man from Interlink arrives and takes the parcels to the van and leaves. If your rifle or pistol ordered from Patrol Base is opened up or modified in any way prior to shipping, you WILL be contacted either by phone or email. No one that works in our workshop has ever opened a Krytac rifle of any kind beyond taking the stock off (not tube) and handguard for two toning, I did the work on both occasions someone ordered a two tone Krytac and I can safely say I have no intention of going any further into one. The tolerances on the parts are fantastic, so taking one apart and sticking it back together is dead easy. If anything is threadlocked or glued, it is like that because Krytac think they can build a gearbox better than some nutter in his shed, so don't want him opening it up and ruining anyuthing.
