Recommendations for a decent gaming laptop
Rock-climby-Dave replied to The Leprechaun!'s topic in Gaming
Scan are fine, IIRC it's who I got my PC off. You're probably tired of my interjections at this point, so I'll leave the others to it. Also, MACS HAVE BEEN RULED OUT ALREADY. To avoid a shitstorm as happened on facebook, posts suggesting or trying to lead on an argument of 'mac Vs PC' will be deleted. -
Bitches don't care 'bout aerodynamics. Bitches LOVE pop ups. >2012+1 >buying sportscar >caring about aerodynamics that will only affect fuel efficiency. I WILL SWAY YOU TO THE DARK SIDE ONE DAY!
-
I was looking at the 1.8 Mk2 too, tbh, I'm much happier with the 1.6 MK1 having driven them. and also, why can you not stand pop ups? you not cool enough for them, I'd assume.

Amen to that brutha! so many times there's been someone sat at the lights in their rediculous 'souped up' escorts, golfs and the like looking at me with the roof down and metal blazing from my speakers. usual hairdresser comments. a little bit of VRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM soon puts a stop to that. needless to say at the next lights, their stupid tinted windows are rolled up and they aren't looking as smug and anything upto and including an M16 will fit in the boot. It's a squeeze to fit two peoples gear in the boot (especially with a spare wheel, even if it is a 'space saver' takes up half the sodding boot.) but is possible. What model you looking at? (anything other than a MK1 is for actual hairdressers, mind ) also, just came to this thread to say that: after finding my MK23 last weekend I fixed my TM XDM today. up £400 of pistols in a week with no cash outlay. not bad. not bad at all.
-
I FOUND MY MK23! IT HAS BEEN LOST SINCE LAST NOVEMBER! Picked it up and squeezed the trigger.... thup, goes off without a hitch. TM mags are gastight for at least 9 months outdoors it appears.

I'll get a photo of mine up later this weekend when It's back from the garage. 1991 Mazda MX5 Jap import in red. sweet little car. It's not a ferrari, nor a lambo, nor does it have dead smooth ride of a rolls royce. But it just doesn't matter. You can only go as fast as the car in front on most of the entertaining roads around here and with the sun out, roof down, music blaring, mate beside you it doesn't matter that you didn't quite clip the apex of that corner or that the dash is a little plasticy- it's the experience that makes the car. Always thought I'd want a lambo/something daft, I've realised in the last 4 weeks of owning the MX5 that it isn't the car. It's the driver Having said that. A big ol' Gran Torino would be nice, or a Lancia Stratos

and I'd rather have the knowledge that if SOMEHOW I tripped, fell and was hanging off my rifle in mid air with only my MS2/3 sling holding me up, I ain't falling down anytime soon.

HOLY SHITFUCKS! Aviva and Admiral are the best for me (have been last 2 years, admiral I would say give much better service, but can't argue with those numbers!)
-
wow! £914.02 dropped all the way to £914.02! Congrats man! (I would assume you missed the right picture?) Still better luck than I'm having with my car
-
ah, the good ol' over-engineering route. My favourite!
-
I hate to be 'that guy', but how do you intend on reloading it with it permanently attached underneath the barrel?
-
Glad you like 'em mate! Try it on CO2, that 8/10 will go up for sure. Makes a much better pop and lobs the BB's twice the distance (heavier ammo is better... no really!) Sale on them is likely to continue for the foreseeable future, so good news there. Currently trying to get hold of more shells, but it's becoming a slight PITA. There are only 5 left in the UK and they are the paintball version, so you'd still have to pay for the airsoft 6mm pellet holder section (the black bit) And the deuce has 2 barrels that can be selected to go off seperately OR BOTH AT THE SAME MOTHERFRICKING TIME!
-
I very much doubt you've chono'd mine ah, yes. I knew I'd missed a couple. FN5-7 Good range and accuracy, grip feels quite long (it is quite long, really) but has Deagle sized gas storage Sigs I won't comment, It'll just end up as a rant about my hatred of Sigs. Standard TM rules for power, range and accuracy apply.

CQB, go for a GBB. model, that's down to personal preference., ability to get a follow up shot off is usually more important than being silent. ROF doesn't really exist with pistols as it applies to rifles. You won't ever be able to pull the trigger fast enough before everything has reset to worry about it (certainly not as a new player with no real practice, It'd take a VERY good pistol user and a shite pistol to worry about that) FPS IS NOT IMPORTANT AT ALL. It's all down to the hop up and thankfully TM's hop units are made from magic and fairy dust, you'll get a better ranged shot from a TM doing 290fps than pretty much anything else you can use at a skirmish. Try a few out, get a feel of the main few (Hi capa, PX4, XDM, Glock) and choose from them, you won't be dissapointed with your choice and no worries, man. It's the reason I'm here, no use having new players buying shitty kit, getting frustrated and leaving the sport as they haven't been well informed.

OHh boy. I LOVE TM pistols. awesome. by far the best you can buy (and don't let those who favour KWA's metal and shinyness sway you). They may well be plastic and lightweight, some feel like toys but they certainly know how to lob a BB! Full auto? Ignore it. anyone worth their salt can fire a pistol quick enough on semi, auto only serves to waste gas and ruin the pistol quicker. from there, there is a couple of different things and features to look for: NBB/GBB their MK23 NBB is awesome, quite frankly silly range out of those things and compatible with VSR parts, so even sillier range, plus you can't hear them go off beyond about 5/10m outdoors. 10/10 would buy again (I dropped mine ain a swap and lost it.... there goes £200) GBB as they cycle the round into the chamber they can be fired much more quickly than a NBB pistol, so bear that in mind. I own 4 of TM's GBB's. 10/10 would buy again. Magazine size/type: Single versus double stack It's simple really, single stack mags just don't hold enough gas, go for double. If you REALLY want a 1911, get a KJW CO2 version, just don't bother with the 1911s/MEU's, still they ARE very pretty.... 5/10 I regret my purchase. Double stacked XDM fires every round, locks back and then repeats before needing a re-gas 10/10 would regas again. The 'big one' the Desert Eagle. Jesus tittyfucking christ this thing is big! also, the pistol is large.... Goes BOOM like a right cannon when you fire it and whilst the recoil takes more time than a CO2 pistol, due to the size and weight of the slide, you get rediculous muzzle-flip and thus, cool factor. The barrel is long, so as you stated (and Tariq got wrong) the FPS IS higher, and people do tend to comment when running on .25's that 'OW JESUS, WHAT THE HELL IS THAT THING!?' Plus, it's accurate with a long range to boot (you could skirmish a whole day with it and no rifle given enough mags) With TM pistols, you are never going to get a lemon, they do run fine on higher powered gasses, the KWA crowd tend to spread that they only work on duster gas, but it's just utter bullshite, myself and collegues have run propane and I've even dabbled a touch of MAP gas through my MEU without issue. Quickly then, their current range (or there abouts, certainly the common ones you'll see) 1911 (have shot many of) Stylish, classic. comfy, but the single stack magazine lets it down Very easy to get a retention holster for MEU (own personally) Tactical, stylish, Comfy again single stack magazine lets it down Very easy to get a retention holster for XDM (own personally) replaceable back strap so good for many hand sizes, tactical, something a bit more unique, kicks like a mule, very accurate. Double stack mags are awesome. needed LOTS of lube. (like every 75 rounds it jammed up, but was livable with. Most 'softers won't fire 75 pistol rounds in anger in a whole year.) Not easy to holster (my Holster for it cost me £120) PX4 (shot many of) Same as the XDM, but less recoil and less lubing. I can't get along with the stylings of it. Very easy to get a retention holster for (important with a £150 piece of kit) Desert eagle (own personally) THAT KICK, HNNNGGHHHHHHH! silly accurate, awesome gas consumption (double stacked mag, plus extra depth, you basically empty a bottle into each one) Comes in bad-ass chrome flavour don't even consider trying to holster it... MK23 (own personally, but it's somewhere in a swamp) the ultimate sneaky bastard weapon. fires further than an AEG and cannot be heard. slow ROF in comparison. My personal favourite airsoft pistol I've ever owned and it's had more kills than every other RIF I've ever had (most of them combined) Glocks (G17 advance owned personally, experience with others) All very similar, just down to preference, double stacked mag, nice kick to them. Hi capa (experience with) Again, couple of styles, but essentially the same thing. harder to holster than a 1911, but feels the same in your hands except it has a double stacked mag. there is a reason they are the 'go to' Practical pistol shooters choice. M9 (they call it something else) (only ever shot one and only briefly) Was unimpressed, accurate, kicked alright, but M9 ergonomics aren't for me. seemed to lack the occasion of all of TM's Hopefully that'll help you. It's certainly wasted a bunch of time I could be sleeping in

My new baby: Internally Upgraded with ASCU, M100, 11.1LiPo, A2A Rhino Motor, Madbull barrel and blue rubber. it goes off just thinking about letting rounds off downrange, awesome! Plus, it has to be the first/one of few airsoft rifles with Magpul goodies that are there for specific reasons and not just beacuse 'magpul is cool'

It's something that the more you play, the more you realise quicker who is friendly. very often I have come round a corner, ready to fire and had my hands in the 'I'm not a threat' position before the other person (friendly) has processed me coming into the room. Everything about getting good at the sport is about practice. be it shooting in a straight line, drawing your pistol quickly and having rounds on target to the mental aspect of not bricking it or messing up opening fire and giving your position away before the time is right.
-
you missed the first bit of the tag line there Taking you beyond 350fps Limit is 350fps, taking you beyond as when everyone else has a weapon firing 350fps, what gives YOU the edge? The most epensive gear? no, The time put in to learn how to use your gear and being quicker to ID and shoot your target than the other guy! Palce CO2 are allowed, we use them as hire guns - just make it well known to us that it is your personal model
-
on the home page photo, middle at the top is me So far we havent had any bad feedback on either training days or skirmish days. It is clean and tidy, we did put a lot of effort into the reception - looks very professional. Clattering around in full gear and bouncing off things would be allowed, but you would very quickly get bored of everyone knowing where you are and getting you shot all the time It isnt a large site at all, it was designed for training, room entry, pistol work etc. We run skirmishes because they're fun (if a little bleedy at times ) Worth the trek? Depends how much you love the M1, I'd make the trip, but do aim to get up for one of the weekend slots (check the website timetable)

The 'What have you just bought' Thread

Got me a loooovely TM MEU on the way from Mike Cripps - made specifically for me Boy has it cost me though and I havent really started looking at holsters for it. -
The carousel at the Nurburgring? How fast did ya get round it?
-
It's the cheaper and easier to find version of the one hammond rolled. and not a dwarf fetishist. I just like to have cheap insurance - it was my Co-workers that named it. maybe it's them that has the dwarf fetish!
-
One of these mo'fo's It has been named (probably a bit optimistically) by collegues 'the shaggin wagon'

I DIIID!!! Do I count?
