  1. That's standard airsoft monkey metal. Decent ABS plastic I reckon is actually stronger than some of the metal receiver that are knocking about.
  2. everyone always talks about 'the sport being under scrutiny'... by who? who is scrutinising airsoft. I'm pretty sure at the moment we're so far below the radar of policy and law makers that they can't even be arsed to fix the laws we've already got.
  3. Yeah that's a comp 2, LR44 batteries are easy enough to come by. Try a watchmakers shop :-)
  4. too add to the crippling of my summer finances I've just bought a pair of Crye AC trousers in multicam, got sick of the cheap emerson ones not fitting properly on the waist.
  5. leave it well alone, it's a gearbox driven air pump, not a firearm! keep the barrel clean by doing semi regular pull throughs (once every few games) and let the gearbox do it's thing.
  6. you don't, even with CO2 a moscart is extremely low power, they're not required to be chronographed.
  7. don't buy the holster til you buy the pistol, you may find that a fabric holster is a massive pain in the ass (I certainly do) and if you want a hard plastic holster you'll need to match it to the model of pistol you've bought! belt kit is a good place to start, they're cheap enough to get and give you plenty of room to carry what's required for the average game day.
  8. I'm unaware of 'good 2-tone' other than transparent parts? Zero one have never caused me any problems at all.
  9. depends on the value of it, when I posted my hk416 to firesupport it was about £36, but I did insure it for £500.
  10. My last gun sat there for 5 weeks before they sent me a letter asking for proof of value and proof of my defence. Took another 2 weeks and about 10 phone calls to get it released after that. Good luck!
  11. I always post RIFs with parcelforce, declare what it is and apply the appropriate insurance (e.g. Tell them the correct value) and you'll be fine.
  12. or just fabric with a stiff plastic backer, wouldn't be the first to do it that way. that said, a beret is a really impractical hat for fighting in so you'd probably be better off with some embroidered caps or similar.
  13. also getting in on the G&P sale at airsoft peak I bought a KAC style flash hider and a G&P torch popped into GO Outdoors at the weekend too and noticed that they do 10% military discount on top of their already impressively low prices (with their loyalty card) and picked up a set of Merrell MOAB mid GTX boots for just under £95! Bargain.
  14. hey, stewards need heroes! besides, I'm only half a dabber, got a FAA cap tally and everything!
  15. essentially, as long as you don't end up looking like this tool you'll be fine:
  16. 30, soon to be 31. sadface,
  17. shoots worse than it did stock, looks pretty though!
  18. I didn't know you were part of the WAFU master race, or if I did I had forgotten! Still a sprog mind.
  19. a guy asked me how much my pistol cost the last time I skirmished it, doing the maths in my head as I went made me feel a bit sick, I hadn't ever really thought about the whole total since I'd bought it in stages over the space of about 5 or 6 months. (£946 plus £125 for the holster ) If I were to do that for all of the stuff over the years I'd have a breakdown, sell it all and buy a little house to cry in.
  20. I dunno, every time I see a maroon or green beret on a skinny 17 year old I think to myself... "tosser". Which is completely irrational I know, I've never earned either of those berets either, and my navy blue one only took 8 weeks to get (you fcking sprog Mike636, get the wets on) but for some reason it still gets me. Not that I'd ever express it to them, they're entirely within their rights to wear whatever the hell they like to airsoft.
  21. I'll never add up the total. Ever. Forget what the Mrs. would think, I'm more worried about my own sanity should the full number ever be known!
  22. That looks miles better already!
  23. get some net and add a bit of a snakeskin effect in with the lighter brown you used, would help break up the stripeyness of it at the moment.
