  1. Hello all

Just an FYI. The last release of maple-leaf buckings are total shit. I had one in a VSR and it completely feel apart after about 150 shots ( probably less ).
I had one in a Stoner LMG and its airseal was a joke from the get go.

Someone told me they had changed the material or i was just unlucky with both i got.

The Gspec was a 50 and the AEG was a 60

    Anyone else experienced this?

Op you might find putting in another bucking fixes your issue.

Iirc thats the same mechanism as i had retrofitted to the '42 to replace the awful agm trommel mag.

From memory the spring for the winding portion on mine snapped at the end where it interfaced with the winding wheel meaning no tension on the bb stack, might be worth checking out.

Another thing to look for is the length of the bowden tube, dont want excess that means extra friction and potential for tight bends.

    To open the mag.

I can see by pulling down the fabric a little a number of small screws on side of the mag, which i assume hold the lid on.

Is it a case of removing these and the lid comes off easily or is there more to it?

Have you had it apart inside? I know one of the previous CA ones I had an odd loading platform that pushes things up, whereas the others basically use M4 hicap on its side.

I've had a couple of different Bullgear ones and I'd recommend one of the inserts that fits into legit M249 cloth pouches. Mostly because you can easily pick up replacement out shells for £10 from your local surplus if yours starts to play up. Their own 3d printed hard wired one is much easier to load, but the fit is too picky (and I suspect you wouldn't be able to use it on the stoner anyway).

It has the pushes thing up thing and then down into a channel where it winds.

I assume you undo the screws on the top side of the box and the top comes off?

I'm assuming you've checked out all the BullGear internal replacement parts but either can't or don't want to go down that route at the moment?

What are the internals on this one anyway, is it the "loading platform" type? In which case, could you substitute it with the MAG brand version (I think you'd need to retain the section where it meets the actual gun). It's a bit more straightforward.

If you don't want to look at buying anything, just mods, then I'd probably be looking at making sure the bowden feed spring is good (can cause feed issues if it's been stretched) and looking at wiring options. Is it sound activated, pressure switch, direct wired? Other possibilities are jamming due to dirt/off sized BB's. Usually you can pull the spring from the gun portion and determine if it's a jam in that tube or internally, which might at least give you some pointers.

I have found that Bullgear option and that maybe where i end up.

    Some times it feeds perfectly.

It just seems that the bbs for the most part arent getting picked up by the wind and pushed into the tube.
When i take the tube off.... No pressure.

(also, these guns are [seller admittedly] naughty powered)

    this guy got multiple items up, and has this at the bottom of each listing;

"If requesting to pay via paypal instead of bank transfer, please use friends and family. Goods and services takes too much of a percentage and the sale of rifs is not covered under their terms and conditions!"

I had a quick scan of Paypal's T&Cs, buyer protection programme, and some other bits
Could not find anything that even mentioned RIFs, air-powered weapons / sporting goods... no mention of

    Is this scammer/dodgy alert?
or is there some truth in this?

    Always use buyer protection.

Paypal doesn't care about what it is as long as it is a legit purchase and not illegal.
I've had to claim twice. Once as the seller and once as the buyer for a RIF and both times it was clear what the sale was regarding and they sided with me because one was fraud and the other was a dick who didn't understand that second hand airsoft guns can go wrong and that no warranty is provided.
Airsoft rifs are fully legal in the UK and as such you really should have no issue with paypal siding on the side of right or wrong in a transaction.

  6. OP. I think what we have here is simple self preservation.

    Now unlike 90% of airsofters.
I have expensive ear pro and yet I would still probably want a pyrotechnical as far away from me as possible once lit.

Throwing it towards the enemy, as the life drains from your body and you head towards that big old light in the sky. Is probably a very natural reaction.

Which again raises the question :

"why the other guy gets his serviced monthly ffs"

Yes he's spent an arm & a leg on it, probably mostly in servicing costs lol, but that's clearly his slightly ocd choice, not something a potential new owner should have to cover.

Perhaps it just sounds good and shows this weapon has received a level of love not usually bestowed upon a toy. Thus greatly increasing its worth.

How many for sale adds say "recently serviced" . Which lets be honest is 90% bullshit and completely impossible to prove it wasn't.

Why does that not surprise me...🙄

That man has made a fortune from the PTW fashionistas.

    14 years of ownership.

    Been services 3 times.

Replaced the motor and piston once.

I have a very heavy trigger finger.

TCO it has been the cheapest AEG I have ever owned.

It's not worth £3K (nothing is when it comes to shooting tiny balls at each other for BBwarz/LARPsoft) BUT the Infinity internals kit alone is around £1300 to buy.

If this had one of the gucci PTW body kits (i.e. HAO) on there, it could possibly justify £3K to those who are into these boutique shooters. But in this case it's a standard Max 2 body (notice he doesn't show the left-side of the gun in the pics) which makes it look like any other generic M4.

    But then you have this:

So you don't even get the Real Steel stock for your £3k.

If this was up for £2k, I'd say it was still pushing it. PTW's have fallen by the wayside for some time now (thanks largely to TM NGRS, HPA and even FCU-equipped AEG builds), and I've not seen one at a playing field in a good few years now.

It is currently with Tackleberry sorting out a small jamming issue. Then it will be back as my main blaster!

Significantly better than an NGRS and an MWS. Of which i have owned both and sold on.

Hey, I'll let you all know how those £12.50 ear plugs work out for me, might save you all a few quid 🤪

    100% better than nothing

I saw a post about a newbie saying how he really enjoyed this first CQB game and how his ears were still ringing. This post was on a Tuesday.

It's going nanny state a bit but i think sites running pyro in confined areas, should be more responsible with ear protection.

We go full autism over eye pro and both are kind of useful.

I thought the same, I’ve seen it advertised on other platforms at the same price

I guess nobody put it up on Macks sooner as the seller must have MASSIVE balls and has Super Chad Status that makes most of us tremble to even question the pricing

    Another fcuker on glue 😂

I've spoken with the guy before and hes sound but this is just wow..

  12. If you want to retain situational awareness you are going to need to invest in Milspec ear pro. Simple as that.

I have had the same set of Sordins now for around 12 years and they are still going strong.

    https://www.earshotcommunications.co.uk/shop/product/sordin-75302-x-g-supreme-pro-x-green-earshell-camo-headband-gel-earpads/

Back then you could buy the parts to mod them into having a microphone as well.

I don't think these parts are available now. So would be worth running to the mic'd version.

What ever you do. It will cost you less than losing your hearing.

  13. Powair6 are great as long as its in stock and arrives ok.
They will label it correctly with French DHL. Customs will be entirely pot luck.

Only issue with Powair6 is their customer service or lack off if the package goes rogue.
"Call le DHL. We do not give zee fuck"

I would see if Redwolf has it. I have ordered high value stuff from them many times. Arrives as fast as from Europe and never been hit with VAT.
