leadly got a reaction from Rogerborg in Are teams with red armbands in the disadvantage?
I'm sure we have bright pink and bright yellow at our site. So both fairly visible.
I wish more sites would use an arm band on each arm though. It's frustrating being team killed when wearing one arm band because someone can't see what team your on.....despite facing and having your RIF pointed in the baddies direction.

leadly got a reaction from Rogerborg in Hand Grenade etiquette
When I actually remember to use multi shot quake, I tend to just hold it upside down and drop it around a corner at waist height. So it essentially lands on the plunger (hopefully goes off) directly below when I let go of it.
I got hit in the face with a quake once. I came out of a doorway and looked up to see a quake falling down towards my face. Fortunately my dye mask absorbed the majority of the impact. Choice words were used when the idiot came looking for his grenade!

leadly reacted to HuttArmouries in What have you just 3d printed (for airsoft)
so recently I designed and printed this little smg / pdw that uses glock internals. Its very snappy and works well though I will be tweaking the aesthetics a lot. Here's also another bit from the new thing im prototyping. Im sure you can guess what that is for.

leadly reacted to Impulse in bb weight for pistol
I use .32s in my mk23 too, but I can run .25s in it as well (haven't experimented with .2s yet). Anyone who says that you can't get an upgraded mk23 to shoot light BBs is making excuses
And it's a real shame that this is a consideration we have to make. Don't want to have to shoot someone 5 or 6 times with .4s or heavier because that gets pricey!

leadly got a reaction from DanBow in bb weight for pistol
I use 0.25's in my two hi capa's. Mainly because that's the site weight limit at most CQB places I goto.
If I actually use my AAP, then I put 0.32's in that.
I've also downgraded my TM MK23 to 0.32's because it gets expensive when people don't take their hits with multiple 0.4's at long range 😅
From the range we set up at our local site, the 0.25's in my hi capa were hitting a torso sized target at 40m. Which is perfectly adequate when most of the folk getting shot with it are a few feet away when I get to play CQB!

leadly got a reaction from Tactical Pith Helmet in The 'How Did Your Airsoft Day Go? Thread
Last game of the year at Killzone Airsoft today! I turned up after lunch as I'm on nights.
Fully KMCS'd up because I know you guys like that!
Ran my MK23 and TM skirmish hi capa both with MP5 primary adapters. I ran dual lines so I could be a pain in the arse and be super sneaky and then switch to my hi capa for objective pushing!
Was a fun day! Mainly did it because I have very little free time and miss playing CQB!

After I nearly bought a stock KC02 to build up gradually, I ended up buying this instead from @Alimcd
It's absolutely beautiful!! Can't wait to give it an outing at The MAW on the 10th!

.....and the circle is complete. I just couldn't stay away from this upper.

Update (if anyone cares, haha):
I've short-stroked it to the very limit of still locking back on empty, using a Waldo kit (incl' recoil & nozzle spring).
I also added this TTI CNC silencer adapter kit. I know the original outer barrel has threads but this gives you higher sights and obviously allows it to be a bit more compact (when using a tracer etc). I'm just charging my short tracer, to see if the inner barrel isn't too long and thus doesn't activate it. If it is, I've got a shorter one I can use....but then yeah, I've essentially got a very well setup CQB gun. The cherry on top would possibly be a rail but that's easy enough to sort.
The only issue is, I've never played CQB and don't intend to....

Tis the final (hopefully) form of my carbine.
Swapped the 6.5" handguard for a 5" ARP one. Had to turn down the TTI outer barrel because the G&G barrel nut is very narrow and didn't fit (you can see the bare aluminium "rings" where I removed material off the barrel).
Also removed the EVO sights as they are too low to be comfortably used with a lower face mask.
All I need now is a decent sling and maybe a tracer unit.

Definitely going to cost you a few quid, I've spent loads on mine on never bloody use it 😭

OK cheers, gonna stick with the stock blowback unit and nozzle for now. I have ordered the Waldo customs snappy boi thingy though.
I've had this new one since Friday and so far have installed a CTM trigger and lower (in Ranger Green).
I can see myself getting a new upper and the hop unit at some point...jeez, this is going to be an expensive one isn't it...

Collected the barrels during the week, finally home so I had time to install yesterday
That might be the end of my KC02 journey. They’re so flexible and the RW parts make them amongst the best - regardless of what role you want them to fill

Upgrades have started. I went with a 5KU BBU as they're less than half the price of the Cow2 ones and generally in hi capa land the 5KU stuff is pretty decent with good tolerances. Can only echo the same thing. BBU area upgrades are completed. Got barrel/hop upgrades to do and then hammer/knocker before we stick a HPA adaptor up it. Here it is with a 5KU BBU and 5KU magwell.

You know it. There’s an anodised endcap at either end and a 23mm dia carbon tube between them. I had the test run on my Underlever build but the finished articles are just about finished. The final versions will have matched splatter anodising to match the rest of each build

leadly got a reaction from snuff in G&G SMC-9
My mate had one but had to run it on white gas to pass chrono. I'd assume with a HPA adapter it would be absolutely fine.
I think you can replace a nozzle or something to bring the power down but they were out of stock everywhere when he had his and he was dead against HPA at the time..... Until I got my MTW now all my mates have got them 😂
I had a few shots with it and it felt rather nice! That's all I can offer though.

Wait until you see what’s coming next for mine. Got a couple of custom carbon fibre outer barrels for my short one and my underlever
