  1. TM Vsr and upgrade, or the same with a warrior l96.
  2. So, I'm in Cardiff, and would you believe it, it's raining.

but that is why they got the gween gween gwass of home

      Raining down south too btw

  3. Because they're very good at what they do. Much smaller and lighter than another red dot and does the same thing
  4. Clearly it's for a different market to most airsofters.
  5. I'd avoid Absolutely Airsoft, it's run by a known scammer. Had some people move to playing at iron sight because of this too.
  6. I'm in exactly the same boat, considering staying but I've lost pretty much all motivation to do so, I've taken a break from it for a few months and now I'm wondering if I'll actually bother re-starting or not.
  7. Not much different to upgrading anything else, not many other guns have multiple styles of hop unit. You can easily upgrade everything on an mp5 apart from the unit which isn't a huge problem. Even on an m4 platform the vast majority don't bother with changing the unit itself
  8. Yeah we got several copies which is why I'm scratching my head about it lol.
  9. That's kind of my point though, they'd have break the window, at which point the key becomes worthless anyway. If someone wanted to get in theyd have to break the window, by that point having the key is of no benefit to them though as the locks would be changed immediately.
  10. So, we have a glass door into our garden, and at night, obviously it's locked. Now, I keep the keys in the door after locking but everyone else removes them and insists I do the same, which in my opinion is a waste of time. If there was a fire then I wouldn't want to be fiddling around trying to find them, in the door they won't get lost etc. They mention burglaries but it's a glass door, to get in it'd have to be smashed or have the lock picked- which must be much harder with a key in the other side and were anyone to break in we'd have the damn locks changed anyway. No letterbox for them to be fished out through either. I can't see how leaving them in the lock is any worse and if anything is slightly better, or am I missing something?
  11. I just took the rail off and ignored the holes on mine. It means you get a much greater choice if any 1911 holster, you can always replace the frame if needed too, they're quite cheap.
  12. Just to clear one thing up, there is no age limit for owning airsoft guns at all. Under 18s are as entitled to own them as any one of us

True I've gifted a number of these to my son. But still my guns end up in his armoury. I blame the parents

      Good to know.

  13. +1 on MK23, best side arm for a sniper by a long way.
  14. Don't worry, he pm'd me and we're all good
  15. You're a new player, it's not unreasonable to think that you might not know how specific guns work. (And judging by your above post it looks like i'm right- not many shotguns have a function to change the number of rounds fired, it's pretty much just the TM m870, and possibly a couple of others). Calm yourself.
  16. What do you mean by manage? You just re-fill the tank when empty @OP avoid shell ejecting, it'll just piss you off
  17. http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/26438-falcons-ainsley-aug/ Of course there's a thread on it lol
  18. If you're going to do it, you need to get a custom hydro dip film. Something along the lines of this
  19. G&p/tm recoil with mag adapter/kwa erg. Any of the above will be ideal
  20. +1, and if anything id say this kind of reverse snobbery is just as bad
  21. Not exactly the same, the ASG has the trades on it, but in essence it's the same. Same internals etc, ASG is a re-branding company (much like Cybergun and Umarex) and their aw.338 is the ares. I said they're not bad for upgrades- not that they're particularly great but not bad, which is true, they're not terrible. Your comment on £100+ being more than the rifle is worth is a bit odd though as for any half decent sniper rifle you'll be spending a few hundred pounds on upgrades anyway. If you buy decent parts (PDI etc) then you won't be needing to replace parts and in the eventuality that you did, I'm sure they'd sell you them separately. Their customer service is good, if not quite perfect English and they sell parts separately for the majority of the other guns they supply parts for. @OP As it is though this is all a moot point though as you're after a back garden plinker so upgrading is not necessary and either will do the job, and the ASG is the cheaper so the one to go for. I'd advise reading Ed's thread on the gun here: http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/14275-comprehensive-ares-aw-338-spring-version-msr-00678-review/
  22. Both are the same gun, just as you say the ASG has the trades on it. The loading mech is finicky- ask Airsoft-Ed about that as he had one. They're not that bad for upgrades, they take VSR pistons, spring guides, springs, cylinder heads and buckings and the trigger and cylinder has complete upgrade sets from PDI.
