  1. Also, you want Nuprol 2.0 green for Summer and Nuprol 3.0 Red for Winter. 1.0 will work for about 1 day a year in UK at 40C
  2. Been running a TM 5.1 on black Nuprol 4 for 5 years now, all on dry fire with a Mantis X trainer. Its still going strong despite thousands of dry fire cycles. Slide is standard TM plastic but it does have a silicon buffer on the main spring
  3. Just put your thumb on the slide lock while shooting, easy, free and works fine
  4. I'd go with the CPS's prosecution definitions https://www.cps.gov.uk/legal-guidance/firearms. This defines a firearm, exempts airsoft RIF's but clearly makes Moscarts very dodgy
  5. mmmm my genuine bayonet fits fine on my straight No.4 Mk1 (non T) Ares Modified genuine Mk3 flip[ up sight to fit and a 6.02 barrel and ML hop waiting to go in. Dad says its very realistic (was his service weapon), weight is right and even sounds nearly right , Shoots not bad out of box, I've only tried to 50m but probably a 25cm grouping at that distance. 432fps standard (stronger spring to go in). Smooth to cycle I've linseeded the stock which not only gives it a great smell, but a better deeper color. Fitted a genuine WW2 sling, have a replica, cover, Bayonet frog and case, stripper clips and bandolier and a canvas case for it Worth every penny, good for a wall hanger and the odd skirmish, to go with the Webley and Sten. Need to get some pattern 37 stuff now Spare mags from Ares shop online at reasonable price Need to get another bayonet and replace the spike with rubber, it looks so good with it on
  6. How are you buying these IF's? You're under 18 so its a criminal offence to do so regardless of their colour, do you parents know this or are they buying them for you?
  7. No such thing, and a defense is only required by the seller for a sale or to import. No need at all for a defense to own, use, paint, pass over fence, shoot in your garden etc and "I play airsoft at a proper site" is a suitable one Nowhere does the law mention sound, it very clearly states "discharges any firearm or firework". As an airsoft RIF is neither the law doesn't apply. However it does apply to airguns as they are a firearm (albeit, a special subclass) Think I may go and remind my opposite neighbor of this, as his show level rockets are currently freaking my dogs out and trying to shake our house apart and he is far less than 30ft from the road, and debris is reigning down everywhere including my koi pond
  8. The highways act is very clear and applies to FIREARMS. A RIF is not a firearm, it just looks like one, hence that rule does not apply to airsoft, but does to air rifles I just talked to both my neighbours, which resulted in several rifs being passed over the fence so they could have a go as well 8-)
  9. Techt gun drops and liberally lube it and give the mags router rubber a slight wipe. Bet that sorts it
  10. Where did you find a Sterling? not seen a older gen one available for many moons now, still looking
  11. Thats a sintered filter not a piercer
  12. Fortnight for the youngsters, Rainbow 6 Siege, COD 2&3, World of Warships, Breakpoint , are the usual suspects
  13. 58 here. With age comes wisdom. You dont need to run around like a teenager when you can out strategy them We play shoot em ups on the PC every Tuesday, us oldies, our sons and grandkids, they thrash us every week with their better reactions. So we took the youngsters to play airsoft. They were slaughtered!!, unfit, no tactics, not used to carrying a weight (a rifle is not like a mouse or game controller). In short it was a bit of a shock to them and great merryment was had by the dads
  14. I spray a bit of chrome silver paint onto a sheet of paper and lightly dab one of those kitchen sponges (small square with green scrubber on back) on the paint, then lightly brush the corners and wear points on the Rif with it. you can use the yellow side for full wear and the green fuzzy side for leas heavy wear Looks just like wear, but you can take it off if you do it wrong and looks less artificial than wire wool scratches, and it works fine on plastic TM's
