Spawn camping in a tree. It is worth noting that MAW have been asked alot recently if that was aloud.....their answer was 'its discouraged'. 

So after months of life getting in the way, today I managed to get to South Herts Airsoft just south of Hemel Hempstead. Despite getting royally buggered by the gods of public transport it was a really good day. The site is well run with a relaxed atmosphere and an emphasis on making sure you got a decent amount of game time but without feeling like you're being rushed. The games themselves were well thought out and worked well with both the layout of the site and the numbers (they were fully booked but had a number of last minute cancellations, total was 23 iirc). Hit taking was also really good with no "wtf?" moments.
 
On site facilities weren't great (portaloos and tables under gazebos) but they're still a new site and are planning on making changes so I can't really fault them there. They also had a selection of drinks for sale and Combat UK were there with bbs, gas and pyros for sale.
 
All in all I think I've found my new regular site 

Tbh I didn't look at that I just went straight to the price, but you're right it's about as believable as a MP's election promise 

Ambush Airsoft Cobham.
it's a paintball site that has Airsoft. Will not be returning most of the games and zones are very obviously paintball games zones with no play through multiple zones or multi objective games. (With the exception of the last game I played). 
 
Game modes themselves were also  fairly unimaginative with too much repetition: first 3 short games were zombie style not fantastic Comms from the marshal team. 
 
Lunch was one hotdog in a stale bun and a scattering of tortilla chips....too much noticeable poor hit taking as well (which multiple marshals did feck all about; after lunch there was a stop fucking cheating shout from site runner but that was it). 
 
There were moments of joy, like finding the tasty angle to defend the fort but that was all. Quite an insular bunch with one or two exceptions. 
The only piss poor defence from the a coulple of the marshal were 1. Low numbers 2. No one pushes.....
 
First time I haven't restocked BBS as I was running low. Finished what was in my mags and left for the 2.5 hour public transport journey home. Due to this, i did manage to get the full Brazilian GP. 

Mine was the copy pasta first two paragraphs of this and previous showing at Mack's.

Did the Halloween game at Gunman Tuddenham this weekend, it was a night game and wow, I don't think I have ever seen a company put more effort into an event, let alone for just a 3 hour event. 
 
Around 70 players on site for it. 
 
They had: 
A pre game story A pre game video An aliens style egg/nest room Multiple alien face huggers 2 Fully dressed up, masked up Predators with appriate props, spears, skulls and spinal cords etc 2 Fully dressed up Xenomorphs  A small (5 people I think) crew of space marines, with pulse rifles, those mounted machine guns things (not sure their real name), armour helmets, light over the shoulder etc.  Also they shouted out appropriate lines from the movies as they got stuck into contacts.   A set piece including the space marines unwelding a door with props A Predator hide/ritual room with "skinned" victims outside.  Pretty darn good hit taking for a night game.  Multiple prop signs Appropriate sound effects based on whether it was alien or predator.  Custom software interface to get mission objects (which failed on the night, but the effort!) A motion sensor scanner prop And during all of this they wove in 4 Objective based games which were thoroughly enjoyable all on their own. 
 
I'd strongly recommend checking out gunmans instagram to see images of what they did. 

Personally, I'll be making the Para's a more visible force.
Al though I did hear the warpac did make a mess of them early doors.

Apologies in advance for being brash enough to consider this "Latest News" worthy ?
 
I am unsure that it was a sensible decision but beyond all logic I have been voted in as the new UKAPU South East/London Rep. I have been a member of UKAPU since around the time of the Pandemic, they helped me with issues importing a RIF and I bought into a gold tier membership soon after and I have been committee "adjacent" for a little while. 
 
Most of you on the forum probably know me by now! I had taken a back seat in terms of the forum recently due to the personal circumstances (Divorce, selling all but 6 rifles etc!) But I am now back for at least a little while until I leave the UK in hopefully a year or so's time. 

I tend to play in London and the Kent area more these days since moving away from Dagenham and to London bridge.

I am here to represent the players in the South East, to give advice about South East sites, listen to your issues, criticisms, complaints and suggestions for the future. 
 
I have only just been confirmed into the post and I haven't had the official email address setup so far, but I will update this forum post with those details when I have them. For now if you need anything you can just PM me here.

Had an amazing day at Red Alert last weekend. Great marshalling team and a really well put-together site. Everytime I’ve played RA there’s been a good atmosphere and a distinct lack of poor sportsmanship, very happy to say this was the case for this game too.
 
Got snapped a few times as we were attacking the “embassy”. Cheeky sidearm kills are always 10x more satisfying than primary kills

 
Ran a HPA tapped WA Salient Arms AR and WE MP5k for the day, made a lot of noise and thoroughly enjoyed myself.

One thing I've noticed since i don't get every weekend free anymore is that I'm far more picky about where i play and what I want from a site

Always thought the vorsk pistols were raven/we OEM just with shiny bits and or quality control that sits between raven and WE... 
 
But even at these prices I still think I would go for an AA (but am actually saving for something else)

Best is super subjective, some would say the ISC full metal split gearbox is best
Others, the galaxy mpk5 
TM do a NGRS which simulates recoil
CYMA have a couple of ranges at different price point and mixtures of performance.

The difference the leadership can make or break a milsim/filsim. 
 
Snipers in rolling respawns, a pet hate I have been fostering for some time, you know the one, marshal with flag will be 5/10 behind last player. The convo goes like this "but my sniper, Gillie suit.......
They are mostly white noise by this point 
"sure bud you have a med, you also have a secondary...."
 
Mostly the same thoughts here, you quickly recognise who will be in the fire team of immediate affect. Might just be that single engagement or you might end up shooting/moving with that person for the game or morning. 
 
A salute to those that sit/cover angles of attack, and full confession, I did used to think "you could get closer" but then found out the hard way what happens when no one is on over watch for the objective
