  1. Would a LIPO fire be as bad if the LIPO was storage charges i.e 50% capacity vs 100% capacity when it decided to explode?

Thinking of getting a bat-safe for home storage. I considered a ammo box and insulating the inside but they aren't as good and especially for charging which it seems that is where the fire risk usually is.

    EDIT:

I am editing this post instead of adding a new one to avoid clogging up the thread as this is for simple questions and answers not discussion.

So the video below covers what I asked and more. Also thanks to @EDcase for answering my question instead of just telling me lipos never burned his house down so they won't burn down mine. I think we get less issues in airsoft because we don't use anything above 3s so there is less energy and we aren't flying them or driving them around and crashing them in to things which can damage the batteries. They are usually in a sealed hand guard or stock providing them with crush protection.

I storage charge my batteries and it seems if they did go nucular in that state it wouldn't be AS bad which is what I wanted to know.

I've had RIFs rejected by two local UPS access points. Apparently they can just say "Don't want", presumably because they're too big to store behind the counter.

Oh strange my evo went to my local but the evo isn't that big I suppose since it has a folding stock.

Bigger isn't necessarily better for airsoft: I'm there to sling balls, not yomp.  Well, I guess we'll see.  Fingers crossed for them, they've had a dreadful run of luck from losing two sites plus having poor weather more often than not.  Surely they deserve to catch a break.

I will try it out when they re-open a survey on FB had them voted one of the most popular Scottish sites (behind the Depot)

On a side note, I just can't stop watching Negative Airsoft's videos.

Brutally honest, tells you why that thing is bad and absolutely hates ptfe and sorbothane..

Almost makes me want to disassemble a gun just for the sake of it..

same I don't intend to touch my evo but I like to learn.

hes not trying to sell you anything.

  5. I did some research and compiled a bunch of still open sites that run Sunday games and they all seem to then them every fortnight and I've put them in to a list of which ones run the same week and which  ones run the other week. Fife War games is the furthest away from Glasgow. It should be noted The Fortress isn't running sunday games until next month I think.  Anyone know a site I have missed?

    1st Week
    The Depot (Glasgow Indoor CQB)
    Section 8 (outdoor)
Bio hazard airsoft (Stevenston indoor CQB)
    The Fort (FIFE Kirkcaldy outdoor)
    Enemy Down (Edinburgh outdoor)

    2nd week
    Fife War Games (Crail outdoor)
    Players of War (Falkirk outdoor)
    Airsoft Edinburgh (Landwarrior outdoor)
The Fortress (FIFE Kirkcaldy indoor CQB)

Genuine gameplay, in-depth reviews and unbiased thoughts.

I have been watching Gun Gamers lately, that channel is great.

    Praise Judy.

Gun gamers say bad things about good products. Hell he loves krytac and made a whole video bashing things to do with them because he likes them so much hes found almost all the little issues and niggles people should know about. That is how you can tell they aren't just trying to sell you things or use their "influence" to peddle shit.

Help me understand it if I got it wrong.

So, let's say I post a loadout article/video in which I explain why I have come up with what I've come up with (lmao), I get a list in the comments of things I've done wrong. Is it the meaning of your post?

If so, I'd say it's a good thing, as it opens up for discussions and someone may see something I couldn't and vice versa.

Unless of course people type shit like "duh should of pickt X brand cuz Y person haz it reeeee", in that case they can die in a fire, with Y person and X brand. And their pet turtle.

You can get constructive people helping by pointing out things like ah well actually product x doesn't have that issue because of y. But usually it's full on keyboard warriors trying to justify their own gear and tearing everyone else's down.

I check LO videos quite regularly for new ideas, recently I've gone through every corner of the internet to find a decent belt loadout video/article, as I was in the process of building my new sniper kit. Couldn't find a single one worth watching/reading.

Nobody who explained WHY he did that or bought this.

Also most of the videos/articles have been made by either 13yo kids who just started playing or by retailers who need/want to sell their products (Novritsch & friends are included in this category).

Easiest way to get people to tell you what's what is to say you purchased one thing and you will get a list of why you are wrong and what you should of done  🤣.

We all seem to hate hit markers but everyone big adds them so it must be the average viewer likes them.

     genuine, unedited gameplay

This is a balance I find hard to strike if I put up me walking back to spawn, standing waiting for a medic in a dark room alone then it's not worth anything. I also don't just want a kill feed or a cheater scene etc. I was actually tempted to edit cheaters out of my videos totally to try not to show the hobby in a bad light but I feel as long as I don't highlight it then it's a more true representation of what that day or game was like.

     overlayed reticle

This is done in the edit and often they give people a false sense of accuracy by putting the reticle where the bb is going to hit so that they look like a cracking shot and their gun shoots exactly where they want it to every time.

I love gun and gear review videos done well but it's too hard to tell the people trying to sell you things from the people just honestly reviewing gear and kit they have used.

Right, that's it, I'm done this month, there is now officially too much month left at the end of the money...

Shoddy pic, trying to get my new stuff in. A gate titan NGRS advanced, a (new to me, but slightly preloved) Hayley strategic flat pack, and a vortex Crossfire.

question re your crossfire. If I was looking at you aiming at me in the dark would I see a red dot?

  11. Honestly if your not a big gamer try some of the tripple A games that are a bit old so can be had cheap. GTA 5, The Witcher 3, Diablo 3, Batman Arkham Asylum. All pretty different games there if you want to get online and shoot people(my preferred pass time) Overwatch, CSGO, BF5 are all different types of shooters.
