I’m 99.9% certain there has never been a DDPM bergen. Silvermans used to sell a U.S. Tri desert PLCE style bergen, along with rocket pouches that had built in shoulder straps I think.
The only issued DDPM stuff I am aware of is the 40 litre patrol pack and ECM bags

600-650 I’d say

HAVE5 will save you £100 if you haven’t used that code already 🤫

Great write up.
Did you used to run a site on an old farm? Remember reading a review in Gun Mart in the mid 90s

TM Spring Desert Eagle around 1995, then a year or so later once I’d saved up a TM M16VN AEG. Chosen because it came with a hi cap mag as standard, thus saving having to spend another £40

The Troy 7” one worked, the Troy 9” 13” and VTac 9” all wouldn’t screw on.
All same design barrel nut obviously different batches.
None had different descriptions of the thread in the adverts, but good on Firesupport and Landwarrior both refunded when I returned them. -

I've been looking into getting another rail for my MWS.
I've found a Madbull Viking Tactical Extreme handguard which I quite like but before I drop the money on it does anyone know if it will actually fit?
I've seen the PTS Barrel Adapter I could get but does this only work for PTS rails? If so is there another adapter I could buy?
Could I also have people's opinions on Angry Gun outer barrels?
I’ve had 4 madbull troy and vtac rails, only one of them fitted - the threads in the barrel nut just wouldn’t engage with the receiver threads past about 2 rotations.

hi hoping i can get any help with this .really appreciate your time.
recently bought a replica mk16 rail for my mws,no name brand not angry gun or hao (however read many reviews that it fits perfectly)
so with the pts barrel adapter rip, it blocked the threads on the reciever threads and the mk16s barrel nut is super loose on the reciever.
PLUS the outer barrel slips out from the reciever even with the mk16 barrel nut in place. the barrel is super tight and locked in with the stock barell nut.
would be very thankful on figuring out how to get the rail on secure ,maybe just needs some o rings to space it out?
Try a different adaptor ring.
I tried fitting an angry gun Mk16 rail over a stock barrel with a PTS ring. The ring was slightly too big and the barrel nut wouldn’t grip the receiver. Changed the PTS zone for a RA Tech one and it worked fine

Is the brass collar needed for aftermarket outer barrels? I just scrutinized the picture of my recently ordered 5KU barrel and realized that it doesn’t have the brass collar known to the original part.
Yeah they do, think most don’t come with it.

Yes it was G&P

Beautiful build, could you elaborate on the PDW stock? Any issues or something to consider before buying?
@AngryDad223 thanks for letting us know. My end cap is actually a bit loose. Time for locktite or maybe a new stock ...
The PDW stock was brilliant, all metal and very solid. Spring and buffer were much smaller than standard. Recoil felt more snappy. No feeding issues and bolt always locked back. I sort of want to do the same thing again but can’t find the stock for sale anywhere now

Has anyone built up an MWS PDW style rifle? 8.5" outer barrel or less as an example?
Was thinking of building up a spare upper to do just that, but was worried about range/accuracy if you start going below the standard 10.5" found on the CQBR.
As you would need to shorten the already short 250mm inner barrel to about 200mm!
I currently run a 10.3" on my mini URGI with no issues, but to go for 8.5" in barrel size is quite different!
P.S @Wild Weasel
I also removed my HAO BCG yesterday as upon inspection I found mine too had started to cause damage to the entrance of the buffer tube.
It would also occasionally throw the bolt forward when inserting a fresh mag, not ideal...
Put the TM one back in and have no issues, shame as the HAO one looks awesome but I'd much rather have a rifle that works correctly and doesent chew itself up!
I did one a year or so back -
I’ve posted small items (postbox sized, normal stamp), then an hour later found the stamps in my wallet that I’d obviously forgot to put on the envelopes!
Annoyed at myself, refunded 2 lots of a tenner to the buyers. Said if they want to collect them from the post office and pay the fee then more than welcome.

Great post, it’s nice to see that the largest percentage is actually going on playing.
I think I have played 4 times, bought 2 guns and sold them both. One for a £60 loss, one will be about £50-70 profit as I’ve split it down for parts and will have made more than the new price.
I have the very basics in terms of kit, despite playing on and off for 27 years. Eye pro, walking trousers, DPM shirt and walking shoes. I look at all the shiny chest rigs and Crye combats, but know they would see the light of day very infrequently.
