Nice, do love an AK !

Loads will tell you to get a TM MWS, but I will say that my WE based L119 and WE L85 are both excellent performers , the 119 has been used at every game day I've played this year running on red gas and even last time out the gun held up to the cold better than I did. WE G36 is a good platform I just dont seem to take mine out very often.

Welcome to the dark side 😁 GBBRs are just so much fun, no recoil aeg can come close , and they demand a style of play that is much more imersive and ultimatly much more satisfying than 'spray and pray'.

That looks like there may be a hex head in there. Try an allen key and see if it moves.

Galaxy MP5K ‘death machine’ conversion and holster setup?
Nick G replied to Halo's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
Usually just help with agrubscrew on the bottom of the gas block , at least on a 'normal' MP5 . Have you had the rail off ? I would imagine the grub screw is hidden under that Not the greatest pictures , but location of grub screw And the front removed. -
Galaxy MP5K ‘death machine’ conversion and holster setup?
Nick G replied to Halo's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
I suspect that thead is supposed to be 14mm, on one of my MP5's it was bloody awfull , supressor or tracer wobbled on the threads. Replaced the fitting in the end and it's fine now. -
A3 front on the WE L85, really liking the difference it makes to the look and the feel of the gun. Also like the fact that being green it keeps the classic L85 colour scheme.

I've got an XR5 , it's a hoot.Shoots well , has a mahoosive battery compartment and will take normal M4 mags although the correct ones look way cooler. -
Another alternative is that the bolt is snagging on something that wont let it go fully forward. Checking the position of the nozzle in the bolt with it out of the gun will help identify if that is the case too. If the nozzle sits correctly fully home in the bolt then the issue is inside the gun (make sure the hammer resets properly) if the nozzle does not sit completely back in the bolt then the issue is in the bolt.
-
If the nozzle is sitting correctly but the bolt is to far back then that suggests the issue is inside the bolt. With the bolt out of the gun does the nozzle protrude further than it did ? can you push it into the bolt slightly and if so does it pop back out ? If so strip the bolt again and check that nothing behind the nozzle is out of place . Assuming the bolt is similar to the WE one the nozzle should be all the way back into the bolt and will not push in further.
-
Sounds like the bolt isn't going fully home. As above, debris preventing the nozzle locating correctly ? I've even seen debris behind the loading nozzle inside the bolt .

The 'What have you just bought' Thread

Ordered an A3 front rail for the WE L85 GBBR at the weekend (black friday deal) then tripped over an A2 front rail on ebay. Rather suspect it may be a genuine one. Needs an adaptor to fit but I've taken a punt and ordered the madbull one from Fire support. Also needs a different gas block but the A3 one should work. Been watching Bluestone 42 again so couldn't resist this one ! -
I'm 53 , have a team mate who is over 60 and I know there are quite a few 'senior' folk on here. We all just play our own style of games at our own pace and leave all the running about like their hair is on fire to the cannon fodder , sorry, youngsters while we have a cuppa nd a nice biscuit before providing support 😁

Practically a youngster 😂

Hi and welcome, how old ?

Did you email him or use messenger ? email is better option, does sometimes take a while to respond though. Think he charges the same for the buffer tubes. I need to get the ones for my AEG's done when I next send him some bits.
-
The engraving, upper machining, barrel shortening and buffer tube mod were all done by LC's engineering. Jim does an awesome job as long as you are happy to wait, think the list is about 6 months long at the mo.

Couple of better pictures of the L119 A2 GBBR build for my mate as a tribute to his son. still a couple of details to sort such as the fire selector when i can find a proper one ! and a final pic with my L119 A1 GBBR

does anyone know how to remove this type of m4 hand guard?
Nick G replied to Ronalbeaniho's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
once that pin is completle out the front should just pull forward. It might be a bit stuck by the paint , worth warming the join a bit if you've got a hot air gun. -
Best way in the UK to purchase a neat tactical outfit?
Nick G replied to ModernTimes's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
Unless they are Gucci jeans and hoodie ! 🤣 -
I think OP is planning to fit one. Not a single mosfet in any of my aeg's just more bloody tech to go wrong !
-
Ah, haven't seen that one . One or two inacuracies ?
-
Very true, I generally have my guns running on the low side and dont have any range issues. The DMR i'll be quite happy at anywhere around 1.7j which will give plenty of headroom. I was just making the point that legally it could run at 2.5j as it is only capable of semi auto fire .
-
'Bolt action' implies typical airsoft snipers. However an aeg can also fire at 2.5 j as long as it can only fire once per trigger pull (no full auto) as can a GBBR again as long as it can only fire semi which covers DMRs which are typically aegs but capable of over 1.3j Your initial statement of 1.3 joules for anything capable of full or semi auto is incorrect, 1.3j only applies to full auto , my GBBRs have a bolt that loads the next projectile by moving and cocking the gun, but they are full auto capable so limited to 1.3j max. The Gas DMR I am building at the moment is internally the same but has a semi only selector so is ok up to the 2.5j although my local site limits DMRs to 1.9j.

Not quite done yet, but L119 A2 GBBR. Building this with my best mate as a tribute to his Son who died suddenly earlier this year. Tom was 15 and intending to join the army and ultimatley try for selection so an L119 seems a fitting tribute and he always liked my A2 aeg. Loads of R/S parts on it , the 552 isn't entirley correct but is good for using in a skirmish. We do have a more correct T2 for it too.
