    Small question regarding hop ups. Is it normal that I have to make a shim on every freaking hop chamber I have on my RIFs, otherwise they wouldn't apply enough pressure? Here's a quick terribad drawing, the shim is the blue part between the arm and the tensioner

    There is definitely something wrong. The gun now applies hop, but with the wheel all the way down it barely hops 0.3s. I think it's because the tensioner is too short and, just like every other hop up in my possession, requires a tiny shim made from half a biro cartridge. No biggie, as I have about a dozen of those already made from old standard tensioners it's just a matter of dropping it in between the arm and the tensioner itself.

    Okay, reinstalling the tensioner + arm seems to have fixed the issue. Will properly test tomorrow

    50° is the softest. My striker is set to 325,4 on 0.2s, juuust a tiny pubic hair below the limit (0.99J). Has no joule creep at all so it fires at 0.9J on 0.3s anyway. That hardness is recommended by ML for guns firing below 110 m/s (360.8 fps). I don't think I'll have to cut the tensioner as it's rather tiny compared to my prommy flat tensioners, but I'll check anyway!

    Will do tonight. I'm quite pissed as I can't revert to the stock configuration because I don't have a spare bridged barrel At least now I can stop begging for coins at corners the arm has a notch meant to house the round top part of the tensioner, most likely I didn't install it correctly as I did it in a rush yesterday. will also remove the metal ring from the rubber and see what happens.

    Something is not right. I have filed down the bridge, installed the hop rubber (with the provided metal ring), installed the hop arm and nub, reassembled everything back. Just went to test fire before going to work and: Hop isn't lifting anything, when I turn it on it just jams. Any ideas?

    Hop up upgrades got delivered and installed on the barrel/chamber. Will test tomorrow morning before leaving for the office

    Me crap has arrived. Rubber, nub and arm have already been installed and will be tested tomorrow. ETU upgrade kit will be installed tonight and tested next Sunday.

    Softairgames, in San Marino (a tiny shit enclave in Italy) for €12 or 13. The arm is made by ES custom works, an Italian guy who makes Striker upgrades, there are 2 versions: One that accepts any nub (the one I got) and one with an integrated concave nub for the same price.     De bridged my barrel to accept the ML 50° decepticon rubber I'll be getting tomorrow 3d printed hop arm for the stock chamber and omega nub coming as well, will report when I properly test the whole thing

    Just ordered some upgrades. Perun ETU upgrade kit for my arp; ES custom works (Italian dude) Ares Striker hop arm; ML 50° Decepticon rubber; ML omega nub. Should be here tomorrow Now I just need a new tappet plate and to file down the bridge on my Striker barrel

      Personally I think it’s on par with turning an MP5 into a DMR, but if your toy and money at the end of the day :)

      Here's a part list:

      9" M-Lok Ares handguard €33 (40% off at a local shop).

      12cm barrel extension (not sure about the actual length) €12.

      M4 buffer tube €10.

      Zci or Madbull black python v2 240mm €25.

       

      That's the externals.

       

      Internally I'm only fixing the air seal, swapping the hop chamber with a retro arms I have in a drawer and swapping the crap ETU mosfet with a Perun ETU upgrades kit. Maybe a new piston if the teeth are worn.

       

      The front end should be a copy of my honey badger, if not a bit shorter (can't remember if my HB has a 9 or 10 inch handguard), which is still workable in tight spaces.

       

      Would it work?

    Those days in which people who have disappeared for months and avoided any kind of contact from you suddenly resurrect from the depths of oblivion they jumped in head first, only to drag your tired ass from a 12h nonstop work day into a town that's dead 360 days a year, surrounded by crowds of teenagers looking to get drunk and have sex with someone they won't even remember if it's a male or female, followed by people with no less than 50 years desperately trying to achieve the same.

     

    I fucking love festivities.

     

    Also these sons of bitches are fucking late as always and it's pouring like hell.

     

    Thank God I'm moving back to my parents tomorrow because I've finally found a decent paying job.

     

    So I can buy a house.

    On top of a mountain.

    And not having to deal with all this shit ever again.

     

     

     

     

     

    Or maybe I just need to see a psychologist.

      I have a Helikon belt with one on and it's absolutely fine. It is more chunky than the metal ones out of necessity but it's still good.

      OPS makes a belt with said plastic buckle for a tenner less than the metal d-ring one.

       

      Imma go for the plastic buckle then :)

    I caused a battery to burst into flames on purpose. Was an old battery and I shot it repeatedly with both an airsoft and a .177 air rifle while bodging a connection to a light bulb to discharge it but no, never had a Lipo catch fire or explode during normal use. Treat them well and they'll treat you well
