  1. Just needs some wearing down ?
  2. Because he would not have bought it for anywhere near retail value but still selling for high price. I don't really care if he sells on here or not. I'm certainly not going to buy from him
  3. I also asked him about his near retail price on something I was interested in but he wouldn't budge. The amount he sells certainly isn't normal for an airsoft player. If THE FNG is correct about his RIF being resold then that's a fraudulent sale.
  4. Thanks for that. It makes me wonder how biodegradable these Bio BBs really are. I suspect that manufacturers realised that true bios had swelling problems from absorbing moisture in the air etc so they changed the formula to be higher percentage plastic or whatever the composition is. So now they're probably no more degradable than normal BBs Next test would be to bury 10 or each for a year and then compare them
  5. I duno what would happen in a court but the 2017 law for airsoft is: The permitted kinetic energy level is — (a) in the case of a weapon which is capable of discharging two or more missiles successively without repeated pressure on the trigger, 1.3 joules; (b) in any other case, 2.5 joules. Even though air rifles have higher joule limits they are a different legal category. And you know how courts stick to the law ? I know it doesn't make any sense that to buy an airsoft gun you need to show legitimate criteria but to buy a much more dangerous air rifle you can just walk into a shop or have it delivered ?
  6. They can kiss my joules ?
  7. If true that also makes it illegal at 3.34 joules (limit is 2.5)
  8. Welcome ?

    1. Baiok

      Baiok

      Thanks mate! :-)

  9. Yeah, It can be hard to find out how to check since the online self check has been down for years. I always called 'Fire Support' They won't give you info but will confirm if a name or address is correct for that number
  10. Nah, I'm a realist ?
  11. I'll bet people are willing to pay more if the seller doesn't insist on UKARA check. I'd even bet that MOST sales don't check UKARA
  12. Go the shops in that outfit ? (no weapons of course)
  13. Doesn't seem like a fair comparison as the XT60 is bigger than Deans so more contact area. To me the more important reason to use Deans is their performance vs size. For that reason I might consider the XT30 as an alternative to Deans but I'll have to look for a comparison between them. Deans are rated to 60 amps and airsoft guns don't use anywhere near that
  14. Versatility to the max Yeah I know its not correct but I don't care about the details I just care that the helmet, shirt, pants, helmet cover and webbing cost £60 total ? (Forgot to put the netting on the helmet for the first two shots)
  15. Posted this on 'Just Bought' thread but I'll post here too for posterity... Nice aged A&K Garand

  18. I will get some to try when we can play again. What is the actual danger for the environment? Won't they just get buried like small stones. (May even improve ground drainage?) The main issue I can think of is animals eating them but I guess they would quickly learn not to.
  19. There are some still around but the price has gone up quite a bit. Asia Airsoft still shows in stock Found this one too: https://www.begadi.com/a-k-m60-heavy-machine-gun-aeg-schwarz-0-5-j.html?___store=en&___from_store=de
  20. Anyone looking for A&K M1 Garand magazines / mags https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/A-K-m1-Garand-new-magazine-airsoft-new/254419408718?hash=item3b3c94174e:g:LPQAAOSwwlJdywol
  21. Yes, keeping them in a sealed container/bag with lots of the silica gel is a good idea. (I always keep any sachets I get)
  22. Sounds like a good plan. (I'd keep them next to the boiler or hot water tank closet) Yes, 6mm ammo is as good as any other known brand so you may as well buy some to try. If you're not happy with them then try a different brand.
  23. Hi and welcome Christian, 6mm-ammo are a good brand. The non-bios work well for me and most others but some people have reported issues with them jamming their guns so it can depend on what gun you use. The problem with bios is they are hygroscopic meaning they absorb water even from the atmosphere. This can make them swell and jam when used. Yes, a gun can be damaged by BB's getting stuck or shattering inside. So you must keep them in a very dry place. They may still swell after some time and become unusable.
  24. Ah cool thanks. I'll give it a go
