  1. Yeah his must have a very low power spring (as he states). Mine's doing 430 on 0.2 I just had it all open to check internals and install a bearing spring guide. Working on it isn't as bad as 'someone' made it out to be.
  2. Since 'Replica Weapons' is explicitly stated in their list of prohibited items if they find out about it in whatever way, you can say goodbye to it without any compensation.
  3. 👍 Weather dependant. T-shirt or long sleeve, obviously less bright colours. Baggy helps reduce impacts. Cargo pants or something with lots of (closeable) pockets. Again, baggy for movement. Take a bottle of water and some snack bars for energy.
  4. I used to have air rifles too, BSA Meteor and Jackal Hi-Power. (No hunting) I'm not advocating for any change in legislation but I do find it strange that there are very few requirements (just age) for purchasing an air rifle as opposed to an airsoft rifle even though the air rifle is FAR more dangerous.
  5. Yep, fair enough. I was just saying that it didn't seem dodgy.
  6. Its an intermittent problem so hard to prove and I noticed too late for warranty. Luckily its not too bad so I can still use it. My fave games are: EchoVR Super Hot Onward
  7. Come on, get your priorities straight....
  8. 'Sensible' offers could just be anything above £100 Sure, its a strange way to go about a sale but nothing dodgy in my view.
  9. I don't see a problem with the L1A1 sale. If he wants to see what people offer its up to him. I would put in an offer but I've already got one 😁
  10. If you see a Quest 1 going for a good price then get that. Lots of people sold the v1 to get a v2 (including me) but apart from the slightly higher res screen the v2 isn't much better. In fact I've had problems with the v2 controller buttons not working well.
  11. Is it new? How does it shoot? Probably not worth 'upgrading' internally until something breaks or you get another gun so its not a big deal if tinkering messes it up.
  12. Hi Mike Yeah 25 is kinda old for this game. We're all 16 - 20 Don't worry, we'll just call you the 'old man' 😏
  13. Spring 😁 AEG and gas are semi auto so DMR's not sniper rifles.
  14. First thing I do at the end of an airsoft day before even going home is remove all the batteries.
  15. You sure its the right size? (I believe some valves are different between manufacturers) Might fit but be too tight to open/close inside.
  16. You don't need to put UKARA number on the package if sending within the UK. ParcelForce48 are the only courier service that will officially carry replica firearms but claiming on a lost package with one may throw up a lot of obstacles. I've sent a few over the years marked as 'Sports Equipment' without a problem but it surely can happen. Meeting half way is an option if you ensure it remains completely covered at all times. If you can meet him at an airsoft venue that would be the best choice. You could also explain the use and care of the AEG at the same time.
  17. Welcome Have a look here: https://playairsoft.uk/

    Csi star xr5

This seems a good price and they have in OD & tan https://alpharaptors.co.uk/product/csi-s-t-a-r-xr-5-fg-1502-advanced-battle-rifle-aeg/
  19. @Vialli, definitely get 7.4v Li-Po's [1300mAh or higher that will fit] ...and a good charger. (SkyRC S60) Of my 16 AEGs, only one has a MOSFET. All use 7.4v except the Lonex BAW which uses 11.1v because of the recoil system but it doesn't have a MOSFET. The main downside of not using a MOSFET is arching on the trigger contacts will eventually damage the surfaces possibly to the point of not making good contact anymore but that would take a VERY long time. Using 11.1v will obviously accelerate the process so I'll have to keep an eye on that but even so it will take a long time to have a noticeable effect. Pulling the trigger slowly is worse for this situation.
  20. Hard to tell these days. Can be a week to several weeks.
  21. My two sites still use fps but test with your chosen BB weight. It would be very easy for someone to lie about their BB weight though.
  22. As @Shamal mentioned, take off the bottom off the grip and check the motor connectors.
  23. I think this is what you need but may also need a special piston depending on what's in your rifle. I don't understand why they're not more popular 🤔 To check that its BAW ready, take the grip off and check the motor. Its should have this pinion gear. Maybe email Lonex to see if they can sell you what you need. [email protected] [email protected]
  24. James: If you're planning to use it for hiking and so longer range than airsoft use then the UV-5R would be a better choice but its more complex to use than the 888s. Could also be worth buying the longer range NA-771 antenna. Duno the difference between UV-5R models so you'll have to check on that. As Roger stated, you'll be into HAM territory so licence will likely be required to be legal. More research I'm afraid... Just found this So you can put a face to the voice 😏
  25. I've just received a 1Kg bag of 0.25 Bios which I'll check
