  1. New torch for the Evo.

I shopped around looking for an Inforce WMLx clone and saw they now have a Gen2 version. The Gen2 has a few shape changes that I think suit the Evo.

I found it on Aliexpres from a supplier called Aimtis - https://www.aliexpress.com/store/2663121

It arrived today but sadly doesn't take my 18650 vape style batteries. Looks like I need to get some C123A's or equivalents.

Seems well made. I really like the RIS fixing. It's a spring clamp with a locking screw. So it's super easy to get on and off.

Finally got my old two tone WE Sig 226 painted and Doctor sight mounted. Next is some internal upgrades and a touch and maybe a tracer.

I like that... but without the rds. Like Sigs over Glocks. They just seem to have some style and not like a stamped out rectangle.

Really ??? well lately the GF points have gone to $hit

used to get the odd freebie now & then - that came in handy perhaps

heck even a 1kg bag of Rocket bb's is ok for nowt

but they scaled back on the range of items to buy for points about 3 months ago :(

Actually TWG used to do something similar too but was phasing it out in 2014 when I started

(no such thing as a free lunch/suppressor I guess)

I bought my first RIF from them. Then went to buy my second and asked where my point were as I'd spent £400. :(

    Hello Sir,

If you ordered from the co.uk domain, then I am sorry to say that we do not provide loyalty points program on this one.
But however, we do on gunfire.pl from which is your last order.

    Best Regards,
    Wojciech Mrozek

How much? After a pair of glasses in this style with different  lenses and  don't want to  drop 30 for sawflys

More than your £30 sawflys. £45 for the 3 lens kit and another £12 for the foam frame. But because Bolle sent me a free nose piece which arrived today, I effectively have 2 pairs. One sun glasses, one airsoft.

  5. I just received a pair of Bolle Tactical Combats and foam frame to try out for the next game. They have more visibility that the tracker II's - but I still think they're gonna get wet the same. Not mist, but certainly sweaty.

As I bought the kit I end up with 3 shades of lens, dark, smoke and clear. I then got the frame so the edges are sealed for airsoft. Not that I think a bb would make it past the glasses as they're very close fitting to the face.

Because I have 3 lens a pair of arms and a frame I can use the dark lens as sunglasses and put the smoke into the frame. But the downside is I only have one nose peice so would have to swap that between whichever I'm using.  I contacted Bolle to see if they sell the nose piece separately and Becky is sending me one for free - very nice of them.

  6. Many thanks to @ImTriggerHappy the minute my shiny new ASG Scorpion Evo A1 came through the door the 3D printed selector deletes were waiting for it.

Not having taken an Evo apart before I found it quite a challenge. There is a good video online by Patrol Base that disassembles one, but it missed out one vital screw - The one inside the trigger guard.

To remove the lower receiver you need to:

    • Press out the pin (where the stock clips in when folded)
    • Remove the motor from the hand grip by removing the two outer hex screws (don't touch the big centre hex as that's motor height adjuster)
    • Remove the hand grip. by removing the two hex screws on either side and the four small hex screws from deep inside the grip. Make sure they don't fall into the gearbox!
    • Remove the hex screw inside the trigger guard. You'll want a longish allen key to go through the hole in the hand guard
    • Then pull the lower receiver down and off.
    • You can then position the fire selector(s) so you can get at the tiny hex grub screw that hold them onto the inner gear.
    • Once you have loosened the grub screw the inner gear will pull off and you can then replace the outer selector with the replacement indicator.
    • Take the tiny grub screw from the existing fire select lever and fit it into the 3D printed replacement indicator
    • To get the right one fitted make sure it mirrors the gear positioning and indication mark position of the opposite side
    • Reassemble and take regular deep breaths as you swear about trying to get those four tiny screws back into the hand grip.

  7. I shouldn't have read this post. UPS are supposed to be delivering my Evo today :( This is going to be the jinx on it. In fact I'll probably get the card through the door whilst I'm typing this :D

Thankfully Shitty Link are gone. When they failed to deliver saying they put a card through my door, I had to go pick it up after finding out I had a missed delivery online. Not possible. I was working outside all day and the driver could not have got to my door without seeing me. So no card was put through.

At the collection they said I should have brought the card with me??? What fecking card! Then I had the need for a bill or statement with my address on - all my banking and utilities are paperless and online! They argued about a photo ID on my drivers license AND passport that I'd brought. And the final kicker - I should have put my mobile phone number on the package.... wait WTF? Like I sent it to myself!!!

Excuse the amount of multicam, slightly regret not mixing it up with some tan but hey, we all learn from our mistakes and i’ll fix it up in the future (does the job for now and doesn’t look too bad imo)

Nowt really wrong with multiglam. Just not unique. I've a full loadout too, but now decide to play different. Looks fine to me.

Haha, I was looking at that last Sunday in Halfords while looking at tape. I’ve some at home somewhere I was gonna use as the stuff my small torch came with came unstuck after a few mins

The Halfords stuff is really sticky and works well. It seems the hooks are harder wearing than much of the stuff on patches etc.

  10. It's the wife's birthday today! And look what arrived in the post for her :D

Replaced the grip with an ergonomic one. Feels much better already. Added a new red torch with pressure pad and a foregrip. Also a Magpul style ris sling eye. Foregrip was kinda fun. Had to rethink where the torch was going to go. If the foregrips too far back you can't get a mag in :D i

Is that nuprol speedloader thingy decent?

I don't really want to drop 60+shipping on the gucci one

Almost identical to the odin - I have both. I'd recommend the nuprol over the odin for value for money. My odin ate the blades of the wheel on it's first outing and odin sent me replacement parts. It was shipped with a clutch that was too tight.

In fact I'd even try this for the money!
