  1. I added a Nuprol Viper suppressor - super cheap and I like the look. The internals are a bit strange. A spring and two bits of foam that aren't exactly a good fit. But for a tenner I'm not complaining.

I also added a Red/Green dot sight from an eBay seller. £25 so wasn't expecting much. But fits the job nicely. I can even run it with my iron sights and out of the box didn't need zeroing ;) The batteries it came with were dead when I can back to it an hour later, but I'm sure I powered it off. Good job I have a stock of the tiny AG3's it uses. It has various patterns to choose from, but no brightness setting.

The seller has lots of different styles for £20 and up. I went quick release so that took it to £25. My brother got a slightly larger fixed version for £20.

I got a new torch delivered today.

My old torch (pictured with the silver tip) started acting up and didn't have a pressure switch. So instead of putting up with it like a philistine, it had to go.

I must say, what I thought would be a two minute job to tidily route the pressure switch cable through the keymod rail turned into a right ballache.

Lots of amalgamation tape was used!

But my favourite thing about my torch is..

    IT'S GREEN!

Looks super cool. And doesn't annihilate my dark-vision like a white torch does.

Plus the green doesn't pierce the dark quite like a white torch, so hopefully I won't illuminate entire corridors at the mall when I shine the torch on the floor to look for the mag I dropped! :)

So now when I see a green light I know it's you... likewise when you see a red one that'll probably be me :D

My wallet has taken a pounding yet again yet it's all to make my life so much easier.

My recent haul is two things.

    1* Odins Innovation M12 Sidewinder

    1* TRMR E1 Grenade

    1* TRMR E1 Multi-shot base

    100* .209 primers

I can now make things go bang and reload my recent PTS EPM's much faster!

Just a heads up on the Odin. Check the clutch isn't too tight. It must slip when the mag is full. Mine didn't and as a result it stripped the inner mechanism. Thankfully replacement parts are being shipped, but I just assumed out of the box it should work perfectly. But apparently that nut in the middle may be too tight.

Have got the hand made grip for the Desert Eagle.

It was made for a real firearm so I had to spend about an hour shaving it down to fit my gun.

The phrase is 'Molon Labe', which translates to "come and take them" a famous saying from the spartan king Leonidas when Xerxes told the 300 Spartans to surrender their weapons.

That is a lovely piece of kit. A lot of money for sure, but really nice.

Not seen on an AK but seen a hand grip attached to the stock for an alternative stabilising hold on a tripod sniper setup.

Just remember that the UV-5R is too high in power to legally transmit on PMR446 channels. The lowest it goes is twice the allowed limit and it has a detachable antenna (also not allowed for PMR446 handsets). By default it transmits at 10x the allowed power (5W instead of 500mW) so be sure to - at a minimum - turn it down to low power (1W).

Not that you'd ever get caught, but ya know if enough people start doing it...

Also bear in mind that if your site has a license that you can transmit on their business/site frequencies with permission. You can then safely utilise higher power bands too. If you're in a team then a license is only £75 for 5 years between all of you, so that's worth considering as well.

I mentioned no such channel or lack of a license, ;)

  7. Once you figured it out I can setup a UV-5R with 8 channels in only a few minutes. In fact by the time @springs had downloaded chirp for Windows, then gave up on the driver, downloaded it for Linux, installed XMing and copied my config, I'd have programmed his radio already :) The only thing I'd like chirp for is to change channel and radio names.

  8. Windfire Wf-501B Torch with Picatinny offset rail mount and pressure switch.

Just a pretty cheap torch, no zoom, no intensity settings, just on/off, but bright and effective. Not owning my own RIF yet this made life so much better at the weekend. I just taped the pressure switch to the loan gun with self adhesive camo tape. Made sneaking around in the dark so much easier than a hand held click on/off torch.

I even tore it down, reviewed it and added pics.

I've just got some new upgrades for my L96 so decided to get a new scope and paint the rifle whilst i was upgrading the gun anyway, I used Halfords camo paint which worked really considering it's pretty cheap it's not the best paint job but it should be effective. Only problem is i forgot to paint the bipod =(.

Nice job on the paint I almost didn't notice the gun. I just saw a tripod ;):D
