Steveocee reacted to Alimcd in Building My First HPA DMR (Surprise, It's a Kc02)
So that HPA mags adaptor arrived. It’s only gone and changed my life.
Gone is the heavy, cumbersome drum. In are the dinky 65rd aeg MP5 mags. The adaptor is extremely tight fitting in the magwell leading to extremely good consistency, I put about 50 rounds through the chrono on my DMR build and ended up with a deviation of +-3fps! I’ve put the Rogueworx Steel bolt assembly in that gun and the noise it makes it essentially porn.
I’ll take some photos today and, if I can work out how, a cheeky video of how loud the DMR build is and how quiet the Sniper

Yes, impressive build. Not something I'd run personally (I'm happy with standard mil-spec issue, so one day I imagine my Hi Capa DOR will be considered 'a bit too bling' and get replaced by a 1911, or a Browning, or an M9), but that doesn't stop me admiring it

Steveocee got a reaction from MistakenMexican in Evri is unreliable
Couple things grab me on this.
Why would the receipient need to read the T&C's?
Why is it the recipient's problem? If it's a business then claim a refund or if it's second hand you'll get your money back as you'd have paid via a reversible form (surely?)
As others have said, PF48 is the only one that on paper will carry a RIF. It's not hard info to find.
Evri are hit and miss, they carry thousands of parcels, there will always be the odd bad driver or parcel that goes astray, you only hear the horror stories as sent an item and it was delivered isn't gripping.

Steveocee got a reaction from SSPKali in Best brand of BB’s to use in gbbr (MWS)
I tend to only buy Geoffs Super Precisions, they're the only BB I've never questioned and always perform on point for me.
Saying that, this week the .32's were out of stock so I've bought 2Kg of Warhead 32s as they're meant to be "about as good" and they only costed me the same as 1Kg of Geoffs did. Not looking to make a move over but hoping for a good stand in.

Yes. The G&G V2 is about the most basic/universal v2 gearbox you can get. If it has the adjustment screws either side, even better.

Steveocee got a reaction from Rogerborg in Fake PDI barrel?
A pistol barrel for a 226 in stock for 8 years? Yeah I'm not so convinced about that either unless they're asking for £60+ for it.
At least you can get a refund

Steveocee got a reaction from Rogerborg in Anywhere to buy a 0.5 inch outer barrel extention
It really hurts that you're decimalising an imperial measurement!!!!
Infairness though, doubt you'll get a half an inch as the threads alone are probably that long.

Steveocee reacted to Louish118 in Army Armament Sand Viper.
As far as I'm aware, the Pit Viper is the only 'new' TTI being used in JW4, despite AA marking the Sand Viper up as JW4 gun. On TTI's website, it only mentions the Pit under the John Wick collection, which is a shame because it would've been cool to have both guns in the movie. Who knows, maybe the Sand Viper might make a surprise sighting! 😍https://tarantacticalinnovations.com/tti-jw4-pit-viper/

I'm waiting for the R614 to launch in the UK now. I am kicking myself I didn't pick up an R601 when they were "cheap" as I like both capa's and the JW franchise.
I saw the trailer and noticed a very 2011 looking pistol and if the R614 is going to be "the one" then I'll get it just for a wall hanger (and then use it because why wouldn't you).

Upgrades have started. I went with a 5KU BBU as they're less than half the price of the Cow2 ones and generally in hi capa land the 5KU stuff is pretty decent with good tolerances. Can only echo the same thing. BBU area upgrades are completed. Got barrel/hop upgrades to do and then hammer/knocker before we stick a HPA adaptor up it. Here it is with a 5KU BBU and 5KU magwell.

Steveocee got a reaction from Pollynator_bravo2 in Action Camera
I've been through a few of the cheaper ones, from Apeman and most of the way thorugh the Amazon reccommended range.
Honestly, the GoPro Hero 8 is the best camera I've bought, use and continue to sing the praise of. The picture is unparralleled.
Also, I know you say 1080 is "good enough" - it's not. If you aren't 100% outdoor in the bright, if you want 1080p final footage then record in 1440p at least. It helps a lot with darker shots due to the noise/filling the cameras do.
I told myself for a long time the cheaper camera was "just as good" then there was a noticable image quality difference in my output files.

3rd time is the charm then hopefully. I’ve bent and bought another. Patrolbase’s £65 cyber Monday was too good to pass on. Gone tan this time…
initial thoughts, looks like a new hammer material from last time. Don’t care as I expect to swap it anyway.
