Found the easiest fix for that is to have this and shove it in a utility pouch instead.

Also stops you juggling bottle lids.

Like others have said, the people are the only issue, they are generally the only thing you have no control over, everything else can be fixed. I've been to a site a couple of times where there is a team that is always there, now i generally don't come across teams but these guys seemed to act like they are "Elite" airsofters at a friendly skirmish sunday. So far i've seen different members:

Whine that the team they were on for the day was rubbish so sat out of the games for the rest of the day meaning the team had less people on their side and everyone had to switch up teams to make it even again.
Complain that someone shot them in the face when walking to the respawn whilst they walked through the middle of a firefight, rather than around the firefight.
One of them shooting people on their own team for not "pushing up" past the objective that was under their control because "We should keep\them in their respawn" rather than give them a chance to get back into the game.
The reason i have issue with this is, as much fun as it is to win, you've got to understand that everyone else there has paid money to enjoy a day out, berating people because your aggravated does nothing for you, your team or any new/first time players getting into airsoft. Also i'm not against teams entirely but you've got to pick and choose your times to be serious and that's what MilSim is for, but often see things around the internet of Teams going too far and thinking they're god's gift to airsoft.

I've got a pair of Blackhawk V2's, they're alright at saving my knees and generally staying in the right place. Anything that will really give you some extra padding around there will help.

Asbo1991, maybe look into some knee pads, I decided to buy some now with the amount of times I've taken a knee on a rock, or pointy stick, or fallen over or worse a BB.

    50. Cal ammunition box and some case foam to make up a grenade/ammo box.

Would look a little nicer than the cardboard box barely holding together full of BB bottles and bangs rolling around in the boot of the car.

I recently got a combination of the 2 cause i wanted something cheap that can hold both my M14 1120mm long and my short ICS CXP-08 so went for one of these.

Pretty sturdy construction, holds both guns and their 5 mags plus 1911 and 3 mags + CO2 cannisters and a bag of BB's so can carry my days weaponry in it, though i'm not carrying it long distances mainly from the house to the car and back again.

Also has the foam lining found in gun cases.

Had a chat with a drunken ex-copper once on the topic and got the following 'advice'

If someone is burgling you, and you run downstairs and jump in with a weapon and threaten/attack them, you're getting done.

You can only respond in self defense, if you have not been actually attacked, then you have to have been directly threatened with violence, them breaking into your home isn't enough to infer that threat like it is in the US

If you choose to use any kind of weapon to 'defend' yourself, you are likely to get done, as you probably chose to select that weapon before you knew exactly how much danger you are in, and it infers premeditation to a degree. Of course there's scenario's where it'd still be valid, but if you pick up a weapon and then move towards the burglar, for any reason other than there being other family members you do not know the state of and are seeking to verify, then you are effectively picking the fight and will get done.

If you end up in a fight with the burglar, you can only 'defend' yourself in a blow for blow manner. E.G. If they punch you and you punch them back it's fine, if you punch them several times then you get done. Same with a weapon, crack-head pulls a knife, you smack him with a bat - fine. You keep smacking him and you get done.

So what can you do? This drunk copper advised that essentially you barricade yourself in a room and call the cops. I second this, especially here, as I've not met many airsofters that i'd back in a fight vs a feral crackhead fueled by adrenaline & gear. Even if you got in a fight with them and won, you've not gained anything other than it being more likely you'll get a brick through your window / car set on fire later.

If you end up being attacked or threatened to the extent where you fear for your life, you should use a tool or other implement that is not a weapon, (but you want it to be capable of inflicting enough serious injury to well and truly disable the attacker with one hit). The one hit is key, so when they pull a knife on you, you smack them with the hammer once and once only, you have to wait for them to attack you again before hitting them again. Then you don't get done. When the cops turn up you say they attacked you, you grabbed this object as it was the closest thing to hand, and hit them when they lunged at you.

The most important thing here is not arming yourself before you know what the situation is exactly, and not using more force than necessary to prevent immediate injury to yourself or family. Property is irrelevant, you can't 'put down' a burglar to defend the honor of your Xbox One.

Anyone talking about what they'd 'put down' a burglar with is talking pointless bravado bullshit with no basis in reality (e.g. it's never happened so how do you know you wont just act like most people and sh*t your pants and shake in a corner) or you are dangerous sociopath, or at the very lest someone who enjoys indulging the idea of being one in the safety of the internet

I can't imagine it's a great idea, like the police said your not allowed to use a RIF for home defence i'd follow that advice, to be fair i don't think your allowed to use any weapon for home defence as your likely get someone try to prosecute you for just waving one around let alone using it.

Best bet would be if you hear someone in the house make some noise and tell them to get out, most burglars are opportunity criminals and don't want confrontation. Spend the money instead on home insurance to cover the theft and let them take what they want.

Also take every step to make sure your valuables and sentimental items and car keys are in your room with you at night.

I always strongly advise separating your insulation layer from your softshell; that's the way any serious outdoor/military professional does it and for many good reasons. I think in the long term you'd probably end up buying twice with Highlander; going just a little bit more to at least get a Helikon ought to yield quite significant jump in quality (though obviously both are at the budget end).

Bear in mind plate carrier are just about the 'best' insulating layer ever (well, not in terms of moisture transport but pretty much in terms of heat retention) so if you put too much underneath your rig you'll boil yourself once you start really running around. Check eBay for some surplus fleeces and cold weather base layers, they're pretty decently made overall, especially the new stuff and you get infinitely more value for money with issue kit than you do with an awful lot of apparel from places like Mil1st and other airsoft-grade gear stores.

Playing the game has got to be more important surely! No point buying the gear if your not going to use it. I have only been at it for 5-6 months and have put a bit of money in to my kit (though for justifiable reasons of course!) though thats primarily down to building up kit as i went.

2nd hand surplus DPM trousers and shirt and face protection firstly, so i wasn't having to ruin my 'street' clothes when i'm diving on the floor and didn't have to wear the camo boiler suits that split your plums everytime you raise your arms to shoot. This was more of a priority for me.

Then my second hand gun ended up breaking on me! So had to buy a back-up/new primary after repairing it!

But no matter what you will normally find me on the front line even if i've only got a sidearm and thunderflashes left.

So to answer the question, its the game not the gear that matters (though a boy can have a lot of fun with his toys).

There isn't really any i can honestly suggest as i don't generally use them, i've tried out some guns with ones attached and yeh it looks tacticool but it's not something i have extensive experience with, hopefully some other members can be more helpful but most laser sights will state if they are Adjustable Laser Aim Module's (ALAM).

As for daylight most laser sights will work but it's always good to check reviews and see if there are any youtube videos showing it in action.

Not all lasers will give away your position unless you point it in peoples eyes, which if you are using one you best not do. But you do have to be careful, theres been a few times somone is using a laser and a smoke has been popped, as soon as that happens it's like mission impossible you can see the laser beams around corners.

If you are going to get one, get one that is adjustable (allows you to zero it in so it is a practical bit of kit and not just for show) also get one that has a pressure switch if you want it only on when you apply pressure.

I've never used an all-in-one jobbie so don't have any knowledge of how good these are but like i said above see if there are adjustable lasers so you know your hitting somewhere near where the dot actually is.
