  1. Finally bought something other than consumables. JG BAR 10 +3 extra mags Dual pistol pouch for said magazines Scope Geoffs .36s DPM scrim net to go over my boonie hopefully to conceal my head and scope, we shall see. First time skirmishing it this Saturday so will see how it is stock
  2. Partly just to see how it looked and Its a fabric tape so ofers a extra grippy and slightly cushioned feel to the grips. I do wear gloves so probably makes the whole excercise pointless
  3. This is what happens when i'm left with camo tape and guns...
  4. Anyone know when the Mark 2 Krytac Tridents are going to be available in the UK? Looking at getting a SPR but might hold out.

  5. I was tempted to get one of the Site legal ones when i came across them on Patrol Base, do like a magnum but the high powered ones were the only ones you could get a little while back and there's no way I'm spending money on a gun i can't skirmish. If your set on a 1911 and don't mind using Green Gas you could always go double barreled as well, cause that doesn't look unwieldy at all.
  6. My KJW 1911 i bought from Taiwangun shoots a very steady 300FPS out of the box, had no issues with it, the kick is really hard and the guns pretty loud on that model. It also has Green Gas and CO2 mags for it, I wouldn't be surprised if it performed similar to your M9 TBH just a different look.
  7. I'll run cap if it's not cold and a shot to the ear feels 10000 times worse, then I take my neck warmer put that over my head down to my ears and use the straps of the mesh mask to close the whole on the other end. Failing that I will wear a boonie if I'm going full DPM, with goggles and mesh. But don't use anything specific for ear protection.
  8. Would it be anything like that X-Fire Gameshow that if i remember correctly was bloody cheesy at times. This was 2000/2001 though.
  9. I've ordered from them before, mainly gear rather than guns, though did order my 1911 gave my UKARA number when I ordered and they put it on the outside of the Shipment. I was never contacted by customs about it.
  10. Found the easiest fix for that is to have this and shove it in a utility pouch instead. Also stops you juggling bottle lids.
  11. Like others have said, the people are the only issue, they are generally the only thing you have no control over, everything else can be fixed. I've been to a site a couple of times where there is a team that is always there, now i generally don't come across teams but these guys seemed to act like they are "Elite" airsofters at a friendly skirmish sunday. So far i've seen different members: Whine that the team they were on for the day was rubbish so sat out of the games for the rest of the day meaning the team had less people on their side and everyone had to switch up teams to make it even again. Complain that someone shot them in the face when walking to the respawn whilst they walked through the middle of a firefight, rather than around the firefight. One of them shooting people on their own team for not "pushing up" past the objective that was under their control because "We should keep\them in their respawn" rather than give them a chance to get back into the game. The reason i have issue with this is, as much fun as it is to win, you've got to understand that everyone else there has paid money to enjoy a day out, berating people because your aggravated does nothing for you, your team or any new/first time players getting into airsoft. Also i'm not against teams entirely but you've got to pick and choose your times to be serious and that's what MilSim is for, but often see things around the internet of Teams going too far and thinking they're god's gift to airsoft.
  12. I hope for my mates sake it was a one off, though he was saying the accuracy of his at 40m was always hitting a consistently tight range, though i call BS on that one as a sniper on our team hitting 500FPS with a tuned HPA rifle (don't know what it was due to heavy camo wrapped around it) with the wind and rain we had yesterday was shooting curve balls like the rest of us. I'll see how he gets on.
  13. Is that t4-18 the EBB? A mate recently got one and skirmished it for the first time today and was loving it, apparently has extremely good range and consistentcy. On topic: some Lipo guard bags, and the days pyros.
  14. I've got a pair of Blackhawk V2's, they're alright at saving my knees and generally staying in the right place. Anything that will really give you some extra padding around there will help.
  15. Asbo1991, maybe look into some knee pads, I decided to buy some now with the amount of times I've taken a knee on a rock, or pointy stick, or fallen over or worse a BB. 50. Cal ammunition box and some case foam to make up a grenade/ammo box. Would look a little nicer than the cardboard box barely holding together full of BB bottles and bangs rolling around in the boot of the car.
  16. It's a small place, their proper website is never up-to-date: https://www.facebook.com/TheBunkerColchester/timeline?ref=page_internal
  17. Following this thread and some other research and the impending payday i'm looking at 2 options. Most sites around here are woodland with the odd killhouse here and there, so timed grenade for woodland impact for building clearance. So on that i'm thinking SWAT VTG for timed. And my local shop/site is getting in some TRMR Multishot's in soon. Those Alpha-Hex grenades looked really good but that video review was pretty damning it swayed me off them completely.
  18. I'd say this depends entirely on your play style, the issue with a single point sling is if you haven't got a hand on the slinged gun and you start running, it gets a little unwieldy and bounces around, at least with a 2-point sling you can get the gun on your back and out of the way as well as close to the body if you have a quick release/quick tighten 2-point sling. Single sling works for me normally because my side arm is a pistol which means it's easy to aim as i can use my tricep to hold the slinged gun against my body, might be a little harder when your trying to pump a shotty, you could probably learn to get used to it. It's all trial an error till you find whats comfortable.
  19. I went for the CP Camouflage one, normally i'd go for something plain like you so either Black or OD but they had a discount on the camo and seeing as it's not going to be a fashion accessory anyway stuck in the boot of the car saved a couple extra quid.
  20. Ordered a similar one of these myself a few days ago, arrived today though i went for 3-9x40 Also recently tried a couple different looks on the CXP. Mainly taking the top rail off.
  21. I understand where your coming from, i do have and use some cold weather base layers for outdoor running that have moisture wicking etc. but where i play at the moment the sites aren't huge so theres not huge amounts of running so i don't find i get as warm/hot as i would if i went for a run, especially stood around the safe zone waiting for people to hurry up for the next game :/ So i'm thinking of layering with a fleece when it's really cold but removing layers here and there after lunch once the days warmed up. It's been pretty mild lately down here so all of this prep for the cold could be for no reason.
  22. I recently got a combination of the 2 cause i wanted something cheap that can hold both my M14 1120mm long and my short ICS CXP-08 so went for one of these. Pretty sturdy construction, holds both guns and their 5 mags plus 1911 and 3 mags + CO2 cannisters and a bag of BB's so can carry my days weaponry in it, though i'm not carrying it long distances mainly from the house to the car and back again. Also has the foam lining found in gun cases.
  23. Keep all key's in your gun case with all your other airsoft paraphernalia. Even better, rig a blank firing grenade to go off when lifted.
  24. Course not but that's what i was trying to understand from your post, i don't think any burglar would spend his time trying to crack a safe let alone would that be a way to stop that person coming upstairs and meeting you face to face.
  25. Surely if he were the type of person to be motivated to come upstairs in the first place without a safe, knowing you have a safe surely it would give them another reason to confront you? True, but of course all this varies and don't know any of the crime stats on what sort of burglaries are happening, to what extenet and for what reason. The least you should do though is keep your keys out of view and not by your front door. Atleast eliminate the opportunistic criminals from taking your stuff. When your talking about organised gangs they're a different kettle of fish. So what your saying is buy full metal for good pistol whipping action?
