Just to echo some of the other comments, try not to let what the site geardo says.

They probably don't have a genuine issue with what you wear-but their life probably lacks any other real fulfilment or purpose, that they try and fill that void by being a king shit about other peoples clothes.

Unfortunately, airsoft does have more than a few people no different from the 'plastics' in the Lindsay Lohan epic Meangirls.

P.s. Lohan looks hot throughout that film, so I refuse to feel guilty for watching it, or referencing it.

Hi, welcome. If you are new, I'll say what everyone is gonna say. If you are serious about the sport, get a G&G M4 variant for about £150. If you don't want to spend that mucus, then rent until you decide whether the sport is good for you or not. If not, give it up, if it is, then buy the G&G

I send a box with 1000 cockroaches in it, by royal mail once, the person at the desk asked "will they get out?" I replied monotone and completely honestly "only if you fail to deliver it in 14 days", citing it would be cruel to pack animals in a container they could not eventually escape from when the food ran out.

Never the less it was suitable for posting.

    EDIT:

Incase anyone is wondering, when shipping insects general practice is box within a box.

Hmm... Ok.. I run two cameras; both 3+s, one black, one silver. I believe I run them at at least that, and I get two or three games in at The Mall before switching batteries. Anyone on here know how long the first games at The Mall are approx? Never actually timed it...

    Check with your halls/uni.
Anything else is just an assumption, but we need to highlight that not all RIFs are owned and stored by dip-shits. It always confuses me how the fencers keep rapiers, archers keep longbows, paintballers keep markers in halls, but we can't keep our toys there.

The reason I don't want a new computer is exactly what you have said above - there are so many options that i will end up getting my nerd on and spending more money than i can reasonably afford. But also I just don't want to build another computer either - that era of my life is over and tbh it's painful enough admitting to myself that i cannot airsoft, being reminded that i can no longer do my job as a sound engineer nerd is even worse. I want a console which i can plug in to my existing HDMI equipped TV, TiVo, and 5.1 Surround amp like a punter...

You don't need to spend more than £850 nowadays for a good gaming pc (tower only), much less for adequate. Most of your money ends up in the £250 nvidia gfx card.

"The time period over which you have to play your 3 games is at the discretion of the participating game site providing the 3 games are not played in a time that is less than 2 months, the maximum time period is 12 months."

    Source: http://www.ukara.org.uk/questions.php

The wording would suggest that the actual days are dependent on the months you played.

My local site for instance says 9 weeks if I recall correctly.

The wont sell you a gun until you are on the Ukara register. You have a valid defence in the fact you have played a few games and you are an airsofter but the shops agreed to abide by the ukara system. They have no guarantee that you will turn up at the game you booked you could of lied to get the gun and never fufill your ukara requirements. So while its not illegal because you have a defence the shops rarely recognise this and insist on ukara or site membership and a lot of sites do the membership under the same 3 visit requirement and enter you on the ukara as part of the deal. They are just covering themselves.

So, as airsoft lacks wiki, and I cant find many sites dedicated to airsoft, most of the resources are buried in forums and youtube.

Generally the characteristics of a forum (ignoring quality) are: Total posts/threads/members and how many members online in last hour/24 hours and most users online ever. Anonymous browsing can also be a telling feature.

A lot of people think you go to a forum and ask a question, but often times looking where someone else has asked that question can be much more useful and quicker, albeit slightly more time consuming - and not consuming of others' time. I am looking for useful resources, are there any missing from below (looking for general resources in english)?

Here is a list of Forums for airsoft I have located that are primarily in english(uk/usa) and are NOT obscure or tied to a specific skirmish site/club/team (retailers excluded).

Note I have not included forums below a set size (recent visits) unless they are in the UK.

They are ranked in order of usefulness to me (no other way).

Could argue that they have proved that they are not helping the economy.

    Backdoor privatisation
Selling business off cheap to their mates
Falling living standards only disguised by the small amount of GDP growth we've been having (which I argue to be part of the natural cycle, not the tories helping it in any way possible)
Almost 1 million relying on food banks last year (which is expected to increase)
Benefits cut for the people who CAN'T work and now live in almost absolute poverty
Tax avoiders and hedge funders not paying which could lead to millions of pounds worth in extra government revenue which we really need
Oh, and a massive increase in government borrowing

So it might look like they are helping the economy by fixing the deficit, but there is a lot more underlying damage being done which could restrict our potential growth and may take a long time to correct, if it ever is corrected.

    So yeah, f*** the tories

EDIT: Now that they have the majority, the libdems can't restrict them from doing anything they want. I seriously do not want to think about what this country will be like in 5 years time.

Anyhoo, I don't have UKARA, nor was I importing a RIF, so after arguing on the phone with the UPS rep for 2 minutes (he basically said "I don't care, you fill in the form or we return to sender"), I took the form by email wrote NO in every relevant section and sent it back, it cleared customs no problem.

UPS charged me £11 to print out this form and hand it to a customs official - lost for words how horrible that is. On top of that, they ransom your package back to you with threats to return to sender - not that i've ever charged back but makes me glad I paid by credit card.

The pads on the cheekbone areas make the mask sit off your face, so yeah you can sport a tactical chin warmer under them with no problems.

I made the pads out of a bit of sleeping mat foam and sewed the velcro hook strips to the pad cover nylon fabric before sewing it into shapes for the pad to fit inside. The fabric is the type used for curtain/dress lining - very light, durable, and cheap. I formed the pad covers like small bags, machine-stitched inside out then turned the right way before inserting the foam, before finally hand sewing the last seam. The velcro loop strips have to be sewed through the mesh by hand and I'd suggest making knots every 2-3 stitches so that if any bits of the thread break the whole strip will not fall off immediately.
