I had a third party mag catch too, tried pressing up on the mag and then reinstalled the stock mag catch. No game. The buffer tube is about 2 threads turned out (2 top threads and 3 valley threads). Pressing the bolt release catch (on the bottom end) and firing a single shot does lock the bolt back which leads me to believe that the bolt catch is not rising up in time to catch the bolt.
-
Hmm the ZET plate (assuming you mean the large-ish silver spanner looking thing) seems to move quite freely in the gun.
-
Does anyone have any issues with their bolt lock not locking?? I'm currently using green gas (ASG Ultrair) and it never seems to lock back though racking it back manually does lock it back. I have tried unscrewing the buffer tube by one then two turns but no luck. I did have a UAC bolt lock lever on it for a bit but i even change back to the stock one and the issue still persists. Funny enough i have found out that when the mag is near empty and only spluttering, the bolt lock seems to work fine??? Any fixes?

Hi guys after a bit of advice. TLDR: Recommend me a RAS/RIS rail, about 9" long in Keymod or M-Lok, Picatinny only on upper rail Do i need a new barrel nut? Do i need something like the PTS spacer nut? such as this https://www.fire-support.co.uk/product/pts-adapter-ring-for-marui-m4-mws-gbb or even this: https://shop.jkarmy.com/parts/mws-zet-system/c-c-outer-barrel-nut-spacer-stainless-steel-for-marui-m4-ar-mws-gbb.html Also what is the TM profile? seeing M31.8 / P1.5 is that the threading? After buying a TM MWS second hand (maybe even third who knows) I have a few questions about it. As you can see it came with an already attached 3rd party manufacturer RIS/RAS rail, I have managed to identify it as a Dytac 7" SLR Rail. Whilst it is nice rail, it is only 7" long, that means that the previous owner/s have used a shorter outer barrel but kept the inner barrel the same meaning that the LANTAC flash hider has most of the inner barrel showing as you can see in the imaged below. I have purchased a 2" barrel extender to make up for this but now this means that too much barrel will be protruding out of the RIS/RAS rail. Also annoyingly this Rail does not fit it properly and in order to keep the RIS/RAS rail centred, previous owners have used bits of card as shims to hold it in place. Looking online it appears that i have to use an aftermarket barrel spacer in order to use aftermarket RAS/RIS rails, is this the case? There is already a barrel nut that seem to fit fine for the length of the rail. Also yeah i noticed the previous owner/s have omitted the gas return rod but for airsoft it has no purpose and it don't bother me too much. I have the original Outer Barrel, handguards etc. So from where i am, can i just get any RAS/RIS rail and fit to my gun. On that note can anyone recommend me a RAS/RIS rail, ideally a 9" long one that is either Keymod or M-Lok (no picatinny except for the top monolithic rail).

So who do i have to hold responsible for this?! @Wo1f I'm looking at you 🤔 TM MWS, got it second hand with the magpul parts and keymod rail I added the Gold bits so it goes with my SAI M4 HPA gun and bought one more mag. Recoil is great and i am tempted to sell my GHK M4 as IMO this does feel a bit better. No idea how well or accurate it shoots as i don't know what tampering the hop has had but im hoping the TM fairy dust is still there.

Nah Brownells have always covered me with Import and duties, never had to pay anything additional

Cheers mate, may my wallet say its prayers

So I may be in receipt of a TM MWS soon (can't wait) and plan to modify some of the external parts when it arrives. So i wanted to know if the following can be changed? Stock: I want to change the stock to a real steel Magpul MOE SL stock. Has anyone fitted one to their MWS? which did you need to use, the civilian or Mil-Spec size and was it a tight fit? Pistol grip: I want to also change this to a Magpul MOE pistol grip too, again was it a simple fit, does the MWS use only 1 bolt to hold the grip in place. If it did need a little modding what did you have to do? I plan to leave the rest of the internals stock as i find TM works best for me if i dont touch the innards especially the hop but what, if anything do you guys often change first?

Arrgh I should stop looking at this thread, really want a TM MWS RIF now despite already owning a GHK M4 Mod1 which i really love too.

For those interested. The Ace1Arms right hand release catch is availible and instock at WGCShop. This mod allows you to release the mag with either hand, works really well i used to have one on my KWA Vector before i sold the whole gun with it. https://www.wgcshop.com/products?search_From=special&item=ace-1-arms-right-hand-magazine-release-for-kwa-kriss-gbb&search=special&rs=Available Again&catid=&cat=&view_choice=a

TL:DR is a 45 degree sear ok for M150 spring (500FPS)? Also name me a good bucking? So I have recently acquired an ARES WA2000 and while a lovely looking rifle its performance is a bit on the lacking side. Its FPS is about 380FPs on .20g BBs and whilst i know that FPS isnt the end all and be all i would like to up this to most of my sites max FPSs. As for range i cannot tell what its like but looking at the crap bucking put in their by ARES its probably going to be pants at best, i plane to change this anyways. So for those that dont know i have done so of my own research into this gun and found the following was compatible with VSR parts: Inner barrel measured to be 500mm in length, needs to be a bridged window barrel. Hop up bucking Cylinder head Cylinder Piston Piston Spring Spring guide Now i must point out that the trigger is a 45degree trigger, i read in various forums that the 45 degree trigger cannot be exchanged for a 90 degree one so i am stuck with 45 degree and it looks like the Ares one is made of the usual airosft pot metal zinc diecast material when i took it apart the last time. So my plan is to buy a full upgrade set Cylinder head, Cylinder, Piston, Piston Spring, M150 Spring and Spring guide. I am hoping the 45 degree sear can be swapped with a TM compatible steel one for great reliability but will it be ok for an M150 spring? Also what would you recommend as a good bucking, i have heard Maple leaf being thrown around amongst other brands.

I'd say its range was pretty pants compared to my G&G TR4-18 which i tweak the heck out of. I would only shoot around 50m but i think its cos i didn't bed the hop in properly and Green Gas is an inconsistent bastard in winter. I dont have it anymore, alas i sold it and kinda regret it but i never used it.

Dunno if i am still allowed to post here? The KWA Kriss Vector was the 3rd airsoft gun i ever owned and first GBBR. Got it second hand but didn't realise it was a former two tone one which had roughly been sprayed by its previous owner so had to strip it all down and re do it myself properly. I decided to go with the Bronze and black look and it turned out quite good IMO. Had 8 mags for it and a heck of a load of accessories (HPA taps in all). But in the end it sat unused for the best part of a year whilst my G&G TR4-18 was doing all the heavy pulling, also i think the hop was crap as i couldn't hit the side of a barn door Anyways here area few pics of it to reminisce.

I've been a few times over the past few months and found them nothing but helpful on the whole, i recently bought a TM Glock 22 as i wanted a TM body to fit my GunsModify G34 Salient Arms slide, when i asked about it they were a bit apprehensive of trying to fit it on but did eventually, they were in awe of the slide i had especially at the price i got it at and confirmed that it was the GunsModify (read better than Ace1Arms) one i had. However at the time of the buying the Glock, the UKARA website decided to go down so he could not check my UKARA validation (which i had) and was umming and ahhing if he should just let me have it on a pinky promise not to use it in an armed robbery (lol) he tried calling my local site but they didn't pick up the phone, my only choice was to ask him to call another shop (AirsoftZone) as the staff their could confirm that i was a regular player which he did without issue. However my last order with them did go a bit tits up when i ordered a Magpul stock and they sent me the wrong model, i called them up and they apologised profusely, i returned it in original packing and they gave me the correct one with no quibbles and again apologised. I will be going back there as they do have some rare pieces and whilst their website isn't perfect and still rough around the edges its a far cry improvement over the crap they had before.

yeah haha I didnt spend much time there was only passing through but its a damn sight easier to navigate and filter stuff out you dont want rather than 153 pages of AEGs in stock and out of stock, past and present.

Dunno if anyone's been to Wolf Armouries website recently but they FINALLY updated it

Hi dude, I would recommend the spare seals as well especially for the Regulator and CO2 adapter, one of the seals on my CO2 adapter was a bad one and kept leaking CO2 bulbs. I would also recommend getting some Silicone oil to help the seals too, hope all goes well. BTW where are you planning to put the regulator?

Your doing good, hope to see more later, i have been planning for just under a year to P* myself up -
Hi again I see your after the AS VAL made by LCT well here it is for sale in a UK shop near where you live (shop is in Romford) and i know it is in stock for a fact as i have seen it there: http://airsoftzone.co.uk/airsoft-guns/rifles/electric-aeg/as-val-2015-version-aeg-lct Everytime i attend Airsoft Zone to purchase stuff the Vintorez always gets my attention first especially as the one they have on display has the wooden stock , a couple of the staff mambers field all Russian gear and so partially own the LCT stuff, if you ever go to have a look speak to Nathan as he loves LCT stuff. From my first impressions though the AEG is built like a TANK! All the LCT stuff feels like the Systema PTW equivalent for AK type weapons, the feel, built quality, weight everything seems perfect and they sound like they have been well built when they shoot. Alas Russian load out is not me, i am all NATO i'm afraid. Also as a side note if you get your UKARA with Dragons Lair they will give you a 5% discount and anything in the store!

Back to airsoft after 5 years of absence
Shizbazki replied to ceferistul's topic in New Players & Arrivals
Hi Yeah their website isnt looked after and as you say hasn't been updated since Jan 2015, their Facebook page is where it's at. They play every 2 and 4th Sunday of every month (though they are not playing on 27-04-16 as its Easter Sunday). Its a family run business between Ray and his wife Jean who regularly keeps plays updated on the Facebook group and it has a loyal player base. Entrance can be a bit tricky as its not sign posted, just get on Ongar Road and follow the signs for the Secret Nuclear Bunker, here's a Google link for Street view so you know what the entrance looks like as of Nov 2014. https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@51.6719948,0.2647513,3a,75y,184.11h,83.45t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1smYEeuQvUGBAqE1vSGxKZBw!2e0!7i13312!8i6656?hl=en Its one of the very few Airsoft sites that you want need a 4x4 to get to as the road leading to it is all decently paved and tarmac'd, lots of good parking though if your a bit late it might be a bit of a walk but not much, safe zone is pretty much all sheltered bar one table (which nobody ever uses) with plenty of tables, shelves, hooks to hang your stuff from and seating. Toilets are a bit of a miss, its a porta cabin with essentially a toilet seat on a bucket, there is sometimes an on site tech, Jean and Ray sell a variety of chocolates, drinks, run the charging station and deal with UKARA forms, other family and friends are marshals (and pretty good ones). If you need supplies and stuff AirsoftZone: http://airsoftzone.co.uk/ has an on site shop often staffed by 2 people, they accept cash and card, best of all is the on site cook who makes awesome burgers, pulled pork buns etc. They are pretty good on safety and every gun is chrono'd at the start of the day using their own mags pre loaded with .2g BBs to ensure no one cheat the chrono, they also tourny lock any P* systems. I like the site becuase it was the first one i played at, also because i find the staff very approachable and welcoming -
If i were you i'd leave the hop up chamber as the G&G standard one, tried to fit a ProWin in G&G a few times and had nothing but air compression issues, put a stock one back in and no problems

Hi LewisAirsofter Let start with some basic facts: Your 15 You have someone in your family over 18 (your dad) who may be interested in Airsoft as well (great stuff) You want a black gun, cool no problem really You want to use it at Skirmish sites, ok Also I am a police officer So basically you want to get into airsoft at the age of 15 years old and you want a black gun. Firstly i would recommend that you and your dad go to a proper Airsoft site and rent the guns first time, see if you really like it and if its something you would like to do in the long run especially if your gonna drop a ton of cash into the sport, (trust me its always one more gun and accessory). Ok so you have played and loved every second of it, so does your dad and you guys want to do it again, yay! You have two options now, buy gun NOW! or buy gun LATER. Buy gun NOW! (not recommended) Ok so you cant wait, you want to get your hands on the very best Airsoft gun your budget can stretch to, well your dad will be stuck to buying two tone guns. So he gets you a two one BB gun, depending on what model or type of gun you have a few options ranging from totally legal to questionable/grey area/are of "What if's" You can: Tape method: Buy black duck tape or fabric camo tape and tape up the parts that are two tone, this is totally legal as the tape is considered a temporary colour and so does not count. Stripping the paint or spray painting over the two tone: I would not recommend this as it will make you gun look tacky and could be considered contrary to the VCRA, if you are set on doing this i would recommend you strip rather than paint over, i cant tell you how to strip the paint but there are previously mentioned ways. Upgrade: Depending on the model, style and what's been painted as two tone you could probably replace those parts, i had a friend who had a two tone AEG with a bright green stock, pistol grip and non RIS handguard. The stock and pistol grip were replaced with cheap after market parts to make them black again, the front handguard was totally replaced from a non RIS handguard to a picatinny rail system, essentially his AEG was made totally not two tone. Buy gun LATER! (recommended) Your dad now has to play 2 further games (remember you have already played one above) over a period of more than 2 months, so don't bunch it all in there quick, play a few games spread over a 3 months period, ideally at the same site to ensure continuity. So your dad gets a UKARA number and is now entitled to buy black guns, he and you go to a airsoft store be it in person or online, select a gun for you, he hands over the cash, UKARA is checked, and is fine, you walk out of the shop and he turns and says "here you go son, your gift", you will reply "thanks dad" and leave it at that. As soon as you give any service or money to him for the gun, he not you, will break the VCRA law as he has technically given you the gun for monetary gain. Rather than pay your dad (which you shouldn't do) why not ask him to gift it to you now as a late/early birthday present so that he does not have to remember getting something for you later. You can now attend any site now with your black, freely gifted gun and exchange plastic pleasantries with other airsofters. Points to note: You mention "I've been playing down at the woods near by with a mate for 2-3 months but we want to get into skirmishes and milsim", by this do you mean a public place or a registered Airsoft site? Because if this is a public place where any member of the public can waltz on into then be very careful, even if you say its somewhere that no one is ever likely to come across then think about it, i said any member of public, what are you? a Member of public so if your there then it's somewhere the public can go and you have therefore technically committed an offence of being in possession of an imitation firearm in a public place. If its at an Airsoft site then please carry on playing As other have pointed out, never show your Airsoft gun in public, somethings are best left hidden from an already scared and jumpy public post Paris, Ivory Coast terrorist attacks etc keep the guns in bags or cases going from home to airsoft and back again. The general UK public cant tell the difference between a real gun and obvious toy gun let alone the very realistic Airsoft guns we play with, even police officers will have a hard time telling real guns from airsoft ones, i have even seen a registered airsoft players entire armoury seized by police because half my colleagues cant tell the difference between airsoft guns and real ones even after i asked why they spent the last 3 hours seizing, bagging and tagging every gun, magazine etc when i pointed out that he was legally allowed to own Airsoft guns, her reply was "but they are guns", I sighed and left. As for gun you should get, someone mentioned the G&G Combat Machine range, very good and reliable guns they are and you should start on the M4 platform as it has a myriad of options to upgrade and accessories. Dont forget essentials like EYE PROTECTION, combat vests, clothing, gloves, hats, boots, extra mags and batteries.
