Migration is happening middle of next week (Tuesday through Thursday). The old forums will be made accessible in a read only mode for a few weeks afterwards, but again the plan is to move as much data as possible anyway. For the avoidance of doubt: accounts and posts will carry over as well as any existing threads, but probably nothing else. You will be able to log into your existing account as normal.2 points

I've done a lot of research around this as I wanted to mount a scope on my PPS Kar98k as well, and now that I have it's one of my main sniper rifles along with my Tanaka m24 and AICS. There are a few options and they're all expensive in their own way That said, I don't know much about the various airsoft ZF scopes. You may find one that mounts on the side near the iron sights, but I don't like the ZF scopes and wanted something more comfy. If you really want the cheapest, then some sort of side mounting ZF-39 scope will be your best bet, though that may still require some drilling of the receiver and I don't know which are compatible with the PPS Kar98k because it's not an option I entertained as I wanted something a bit bigger with variable power. So, ignoring ZF scopes and looking more towards regular scopes... Cheapest is a combination like this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/404343186281 https://www.opticswarehouse.co.uk/vortex-crossfire-ii-2-7x32-sfp-scout-scope But what makes this expensive is that you need to buy a scout scope for it to work, which means you're paying real-steel optics money (Vortex is "only" Β£140ish, but that's basically the cheapest option). If you don't buy a scout scope, you won't see anything through the scope, as it mounts where the rear sight is which is pretty far forward and therefore needs very very long eye-relief. I also didn't like this setup as my friend tried it, and when I looked through his I really didn't like how tiny the scope picture was. Best, but by far the most difficult is using something like this: https://www.patrolbase.co.uk/vector-optics-kar98k-steel-scope-rail-mount (and then using whatever scope you want as it's basically a picatinny mount) Or the Ares that @rsvpiper said above if you want something a bit more period correct Reason why this is the most difficult is that you need to drill and tap the holes into the receiver. I have an Ares drill and tap kit, but it doesn't sit properly on the PPS Kar98k so I didn't end up doing it. I probably don't need to tell you why this is the most difficult, but just in case... if you drill it wrong, you'll ruin your receiver and the scope will be off-centre. I asked around a few gunsmiths and armourers where I am and nobody wanted to do it because it's an airsoft gun, and I definitely don't have the experience with precision tools to be able to drill this perfectly centred. The middle-ground option (and the option I went for) is this: https://www.badacetactical.com/collections/ndt-mount-for-mausers/products/low-profile-mauser-k98k-ndt-scope-mount-picatinny-rail You need to dremel part of the receiver away because the rear sight doesn't quite disassemble like the real thing (basically you just need to dremel away both side wall bits of the rear sight, because they don't come out like the real one and get in the way of this mount), so it's probably not an option if you ever want to run iron sights again. Though I believe the irons should still go on, I've never tried putting my irons back on because I have a Tanaka G33/40 for my iron sights 1.1J Kar98 build, so my PPS will always have a scope on. This is what it looks like on mine:2 points

That's a gbb trait. It's because the slide or bolt doesn't have enough ump to do a full stroke to disengage the trigger so you get a burst of full auto. Worth using higher powered gas in cooler months and top up gas on every BB refill. Should minimise that fault.1 point -

Throw mine into the mix a 90s MIJ Fender Tele but I don't think it's the one for me, mainly into Les Pauls and this tow dipping didn't really do it for me. Currently restringing and taking it to a dealer to get it authenticated as I think the bridge is a later bridge and a lot of the 90s MIJs were serial stamped.....on the bridge π€£1 point -

Just got back from Strikeforce CQB in Gloucester, It was veeeery quiet today. Just me, A couple other guys, One of their kids and a couple of the staff. The two regulars/staff were pitted against the other 4 of us, Started off with a centre flag/KOTH game, rotated around, After a break, The usual pushback game with one team defending and retreating back a zone when hit, Rotated that too. It's super dark in there during the autumn and winter, That combined with the small teams made it really slow. Mostly devolved into holding corners, Both parties waiting for someone to turn on a flashlight. Everyone played great, The team of 4 I was in got a little bit stomped lol. I was being a bit cowardly jumping at shadows, And we ending up moving at a snails' pace for the majority of the game. After quite a bit of (unsuccessful) shouting of encouragement, Marshall grabbed a gun and we think he was trying to give us a hand. Ran up and blasted everyone, Our team included lol. Really don't think he likes slow matches Halfway through I had my earpro shot off, BB hit and shattered the plastic linkage between the headband wire and the actual ear cover :((( (fixed with healthy dose of electrical tape) After both gamemodes, Other 3 of my team threw in the towel, Very fair, Pitch black CQB isn't everyones cup of tea.... Me and a regular decided to do a little 1v1, Which was the most fun I've had at strikeforce yet. My new Vorsk VMP-1 performed brilliant, Absolutely worth the money. Just has an issue where it likes to stick on full auto when the magazine's low on pressure or something Overall worth the 25 quid, People who showed up were great fun, Even if it was a little slow. I'd still say the sweet spot for strikeforce CQB is 16-25 players.1 point -

Yeah the same prop gun was used in a couple of other films. I just realised I have to tape two mags together. At least I didn't spend $35,000 on it π€£ https://www.thegoldencloset.com/merchant/merchant.mvc?Session_ID=ed6e563eb40638682ae5736fa009acf3&Screen=PROD&Product_Code=P01241&Category_Code=Action1 point -

Great evening shoot at Trigger Happy Airsoft in Belfast. First time playing there and gameplay was fast and frantic at time, proper CQB vibes. Bit disappointed I couldn't chuck my BFGs but understand as its nearby streets and out of respect to the neighbours. Noticed a few safety concerns and reported them directly to the marshals and they where appreciated and supportive of constructive feedback. I hadn't filled my air tank for Mp7 HPA rig and it ran out middle of a fire fight, dead trigger π Back to the safezone and grabbed by back up DE M923G which I forgot how decent out of the box. Spoilt with CQB sites at the moment and I know my next outdoor skirmish im going to do some whinging πππ1 point -
