Blackstone CQB started running such games. I especially appreciated the fact that they forced a certain "spirit of the game" by banning HPA-adapted weapons for the pistol & shotgun games so nobody could rock up with an Hi-Capa with an M4 mag.3 points

Need help with working out how to ship a large item
Lyndication and 2 others reacted to Tackle for a topic
Forget all that, i shipped something similar to the Lebanon, & back then size was going to hit me just as hard on the price as weight. So in folded it up as small as it would comfortably go, then put it in to a vacuum bag, kind you put winter jumpers & quilts etc in, when the air was sucked out it was less than half its original size, I then stuck the whole thing in to one of those HD mailing bags, making sure it was a snug fit so that if the vacuum bag leaked, the whole thing wouldn't blow up like a liferaft in the airfreighters cargo hold 🤣3 points -

Selling my new-ish FAL OSW for the sole reason to fund a new airgun that I really wanted. Really don't want to part myself from this rifle but intrusive thoughts won 😭 Gun is accurate and functions out of the box with no hiccups whatsoever, almost zero wear on it aside from the obvious selector scratch that every FAL gets and a bit on the hinges of the folding stock. Comes with one gas tight mag. Just bear in mind this has no npas pre installed and it shoots a little hot out of the box currently (360 fps w/0.25g). I also had this for roughly only a month. Will be shipped via PF48 and payment via Paypal; all in for £490! If you have any questions or need more photos please dm me.490.00 GBP

You can set it to not use Evri when you make the listing btw. I set mine to Royal Mail only. Evri has lost too many packages for my liking.2 points -
I ended up sticking it into a vacuum bag, then just wrapped that bag in a bin bag and taped the fuck out of it 😂 Ebay wants me to use their prepaid evri though which is annoying, prefer to do my own shipping stuff 🙄2 points

Ngal/Peq15 reproduction repairs
Galvatron and one other reacted to Lyndication for a topic
This has been the case for decades now. Over time the complexity of electronic products has increased, more functions are on ICs rather than discrete components, and the assembly methods favour small and closely packed board layouts to minimise size, which makes it an absolute bastard to perform repair on most things. Plus an unhealthy dose of Planned Obsolescence. If I never have to replace an 0201 surface mount component it'll be too soon. It's like handling a grain of sand.2 points -
A PS …. Aim to practice reloads from either hand, which means you can keep the left pistol on the left and the right on the right Alternatively if better at reloading in one particular side then you can swap pistols over as they empty, that can mean you always know which will run out before the next and can reload from the optimum side1 point

Brilliant reply, I'll read it him. Thanks. We have 5 mags for 2 pistols.1 point

I don't see why they wouldn't let him akimbo. It's worse than just using one gun in game terms, though it is really fun.1 point -
Limited options such as pistols change the dynamics, and as such are typically a limiter when up against others with higher capacity. However they are fun, and with the limitations when you get the kills then the payback is higher To be effective twin pistols need to have their reloading managed - not just having a holster to deposit one in order to release your hand for magazine changes, but avoiding them both being empty at once. It feels great to hold out both arms alternatively firing one shot per side, but then they both need reloading at once rendering you ineffective. Start the game favouring one side (eg right hand) until it’s probably half way ahead of the other. Then use them together When you’ve either counted it to empty (or more likely you notice that nothing is coming out) then it’s time to change magazine, but you still have the left one ready to shoot. Practice reloading so you don’t have to holster one - it helps to have big hands and long fingers If in a stable position you can drop a magazine, but it’s most likely that you want to stash it - pull it with your fingertips, drop into a dump pouch or down your shirt. Again with fingertips pull a fresh magazine and insert - your right pistol is now full and your left is half full If convenient move the dumped magazine to a pouch (and remember to manage what pouched magazines are full / empty) By keeping both pistols out when reloading you have the ability to shoot, a holstered pistol can’t shoot anyone (except yourself)1 point

We've got an mp5 in the collection, the cyma blue edition. It's my favorite. His birthday not till December, but I buy early as Xmas expensive time already. Will definitely post update when he's tried it. I test fitted it, but fighting the urge to shoot it... He's got a TM gold match to go with it for BDay. I mentioned reloading, his answer was 2 holsters. He has an answer for everything. 😆1 point

In my experience duel welding pistols is dependant on site. I have done it and it’s huge fun for 2 or 3 mins then a pain when you have to reload the mags. Have a look at GBB SMG’s if he wants that kind of fun! Love using my WE Apache MP5 for up close and personal with a kick. Really interested to know how he gets on with the mini launcher, looked at them a couple of times but never purchased.1 point

That made me laugh out loud... He says he's going to practice first in the garage. But your right, would be funny to watch. He's watched too much John wick I think. 😆 The guys on our site want 3 point contact on the rifles, which spoiled his fun. Thanks for the reply mate. This arrived yesterday, another present for his birthday. Can't wait to try it.1 point

I'm actually veering towards inpost lockers now, even royal mail are guilty of leaving "signed for" stuff on doorsteps without even knocking, resulting in at least 2 losses, one of which ended up costing me about £70 lost 🤬. Obviously for rifs PF48 is the only legitimate service, & so far ive found them more professional than bog standard RM.1 point

Yeah 👍, will have to chuck it on the list of projects - will defo see if I can find someone to 3d Print something along these lines first. Mmm I wondered if it might be an Israeli one too, the red dot itself looks a little bit trijicon-esque. Edit*** Yeah here we go: https://www.trijicon.com/discontinued-products/details/rx01-101 point

Garand Rhumbs wasn't the C-More set up, but more like the Israeli version as they use a lot of carry handle AR's still today. Yeah I did a lot to it but couldn't find an alternative at the time. Just cut the rail part off the top carry handle section to match the slant of the handle and you'll need to file it like I did. Then cut straight down from the edge towards the fsp then attach a piece of metal the desired length and width. Then respray it. Take the 20mm mount off the C-More and drill the correct hole so you can mount it to the flat metal bar. Sounds long winded and probably get a 3d printed one for less hassle but it's better than I'm making it sound lol.1 point

Many thanks for sharing this. The quick-release sling and strap look very promising. Is the barrel bag the same thing as the barrel sock you put over the muzzle before you enter the same zone?1 point -
New Viva Arms "Ranch Boy" Ruger 10/22 GBBR (Samson-style stock)
ButcherBill reacted to BenJackson for a topic
Honestly from what I've gathered when speaking to Viva, it seems stock, there's certainly no proprietary issues that I've been told about, so at this stage I would say that it's essentially an SSQ clone in it's entirety Literally the first thing I asked for when they initially announced it! Although don't expect it anytime soon...whilst the body modifications would be easy, unless they licence a VFC or TM system (good luck with that), it means either "cloning" it or developing your own entirely...at which point it risks being a cool paperweight.1 point -

Oh don't get me wrong, there's a lot to learn, but BF, Hop, and GT are all there to keep that consumer industry churning in the US. Just constantly buying new guns, buying new parts for those guns, cycling through built-up and stripped-down builds, etc, etc. Watching Guntubers buy and sell LPVOs and Dot+Mag combos like 5 times round as the discourse goes back and forth between the two gets aggravating and I think Airsofters don't need to worry about like 99% of what they talk about. Stuff about concealment, moving quietly through terrain, and observation are useful if you're on a large site/MilSim though. Getting serious about gear is especially fun for MilSims.1 point -

Going by the description, don't even know if you get the mags/box with it lol From the looks of it all that's added is a RDS and the Extended barrel thing that makes it look horrible imo.
