Due in early November, based on the Nov SSQ system, so if you're already into the platform then mag availability won't be an issue for you. 1J out of the box, can change quite easily using the various nozzles already on the market for the platform. Rifle and magazines available at https://www.raresoft.co.uk/product-page/viva-arms-ranch-boy-gbbr7 points -

Cringe in Airsoft

The gunman Tuddenham halloween game last year and the year before were awesome! There was a great balance between it being larp/special in that they had a drone that blew stuff up, 7ft terminators that fired bbs due to motion sensors, marshalls doing "cut scenes", xenomorphs, predators, a strangely erotic Sarah Connor (was it a dude?) Skeletons hanging from trees (as per the predator movies!) then there was also games happening, with different (but similar) objectives and the game play was great. Normally, yes, most zombie games or Halloween games are meh - however extra special effort was done and it paid off - unfortunately a change in head marshall means I suspect it won't be as good.4 points -
Airsoft Tailoring - P90 Accessories
Galvatron and 2 others reacted to Punisher3990 for a topic
Hey all I wanted to make a post here to give a shout-out to Henry at Airsoft Tailoring - https://airsofttailoring.co.uk/ He makes some handmade accessories for Airsoft, and I picked up pretty much all of them from his store. I messaged him as some of the colours I was looking for were out of stock, but he said to order them anyway, and he would make them for me. Let me say these accessories are absolutely great quality, probs better than some I have got from airsoft shops. I will run through some items below as a lot of these are very nice for P90 owners. P90 3D Printer Stand This thing is so simple yet awesome all the same. IT allows me to safely display my P90 without worrying about marks from a gun rail or it falling over. It looks great on the side and shows off the look of the P90(I know it's like Marmite, but as a Stargate Fan, I love it) P90 Quick Release Sling and Strap combo I looked for a good strap for a while. I wanted one that sat nicely on the chest so I could rest the P90 there to pull a sidearm if needed. Most mounts like this are full harnesses. I already run a harness for my belt under a PC, so I didn't want another like that. This strap gave me that option with a quick-release Cobra buckle, too! Very Solid and I feel safe letting go of the RIF P90 Stock Extender A 3D-printed stock extender makes it a little bit nicer to shoulder the SMG if you are a bit taller, but also provides much-needed battery space. Slots on nicely and feels solid. My only minor gripe here is that the extender is grey and doesn't match the rest of the gun, but I may get a rubber butt stock cover anyway, so that doesn't really matter. Barrel Bag A small accessory, sure, but still needed at most sites. Very durable material and has a nice, long elastic too. All in all, If you have a P90 or just want to check out Henry's items, check out his store here: https://airsofttailoring.co.uk/. He has some cool items for P90s, but also some other bits too.3 points -

I wonder how they do this- partnership with Noveritsch, or go straight to the OEM of the SSQ (presumably KJW) and manage to sidestep any licencing issues at the same time Either way, the pricing seems good in comparison to the base cost of the SSQ. There is the double bell AEG version apparently on the way....2 points -

Not sure if I'll make any more Airsoft EM-2's - the pic. is of the prototype I've made - its cnc Aluminium and Walnut and took a lot of time/effort/money to create, and I don't think there's a lot of demand out there that would make it worthwhile. But I learnt a lot making it, and it did gain me the very real privillege of meeting with Jonathan Ferguson and getting to handle (cuddle?😁) several examples of the real thing. Worth it just for that!2 points -

British Forces weapons
ButcherBill and one other reacted to Darkmikey22 for a topic
So, just to add. I've since had a few new pieces join the collection. The L130A1 This is the 7.62mm variant of the FN minimi. This system was only ever in use with UKSF/SFSG, and has been used for some time. These are usually seen with a TA01 with RMR, LA5 peq and a green LBT box mag. There are a few differences between the UK version and US version (MK48). GAS BLOCK/REG The US version uses the 7.62 type, while the UK version uses the older Minimi type, with even a MK1 type gas regulator knob. BIPOD US version uses the new improved style, while UK uses older type. RAILED HANDGUARD There are 2 US types. The improved tri rail or the older MK46 style over barrel rail. The UK version is similar to the KAC type tri rail. BOX MAG MOUNT Now I'm not entirely sure what this plate is there for. But the US version has a 2 holed plate, that sits underneath the feed tray. This is not present on the UK version. MARKINGS The US version has MK48 markings on the right sight, just before the stock. The UK version just has the standard minimi type markings, but marked for 7.62. My version is a Lambda defence version. Has a few things that need addressing A few holes left in the receiver from manufacturer. Clean up some of the rusty parts. Spray the receiver a satin black as issued. Try and source a green box mag, or try dying the one I have potentially. And to source a TA01 acog. Next up. M79 Some people don't realise, this particular weapon has been used by the British since the 70s in Northern Ireland, and one or two pictured during the falklands. These were later replace by the HK69 launchers. The British version came with a fibre glass stock. Not the wooden one issued to US forces. Most were seen using SLR slings too. Lastly. The L109A1. It's a SIG P230. This was sigs answer to the Walther PP/PPK & P5. This was issued to SAS as a concealed carry both on covert ops and for personal protection when in plain clothes. Other than that, not alot is known about this little pistol. There were also rumours this was issued to helicopter crews along with the Walther P5's. But the guys I know, who were in the RAF, only ever saw the walther P5's issued at the time. Mine is the old KSC P230JP version. Only down side, is that it's plastic bodied. But for a small pistol, is extremely comfortable. I'm really not sure what to do with this, other than leave it stock. As haven't seen any pics of issued ones to getting it looking authentic.2 points -
Buying bolt carriers from asia
EvilMonkee and one other reacted to Lyndication for a topic
If you have a UKARA, it's worth asking the seller to slap it on the box somewhere nice and obvious anyway, But yeah the only things you'll really get pulled up on importing are real firearms parts that are pressure bearing, (barrels, gas blocks, bolt carriers, etc). Those ones will get you a nice visit from the police. Furniture and optics are fine.2 points -

The 'How Did Your Airsoft Day Go? Thread
tside and one other reacted to Gunboat Diplomat for a topic
Visited Finmere Airsoft for the first time this weekend to take part in one of their Chaos and Control days, a long objective lead day rather than your usual skirmish. Milsim-lite I guess you could call it. First notable point before the day of the event even came around was the great communication with the organisers. I posted a quick question via their ‘Contact Us’ link but got a swift answer and then welcome into their larger WhatsApp group to discuss game day specifics or ask for technical help. Even got sent a PDF with the game objectives and rules, site map and walkthrough video in advance of the day so everyone should know what they are doing. Really well organised and not something I’ve seen before. Arrived at the site an a rainy Sunday morning. The site itself is a fairly typical woodland affair with a long central access road bisecting it into two distinct halves. Safe zone is right in the centre, they have a mix of seating and tables, most undercover from the worst of the elements. Small tuck shop, supplies and a lone portaloo which was remarkably clean. Game area features some nice set pieces like a prop submarine, crashed airplane and some other abstract structures that could really be anything. Gameplay for the day were two 2-hour long domination rounds with five control points spread around the map for capture and control. Capture involved the usual flag raising plus starting your team’s stopwatch at the control point to start accumulating points. Each team’s spawn had an area map that you could mark POIs on and a radio. The radio allowed you to get in contact with the ‘drone operator’ to get intel and/or call in airstrikes or chemical weapons on certain positions. I’m guessing this isn’t anything new but it was the first time I’ve played anything like this and I had a great time playing Battlefield Commander with my rifle propped up in the corner of spawn and picking places on the map to drop imaginary ordinance. Another new one for me was their dead rule. You get 3 lives with the first 2 hits requiring you to be revived, but whilst injured you are allowed (and expected) to call out info to your team. Creates an interesting dynamic where a downed man can sometimes be the pivotal part of a firefight as he calls out enemy movements to the survivors. On your 3rd hit you are fully dead, then it’s the usual silent walk back to spawn. Other notable points of the day were zero moaning or bitching about hit calling, randoms happy to and actively looking to team up to do objectives, everyone generally very laid back and some guy brought a bag full of apples from his garden. All in all a great addition to our roster of local sites so will be going there again soon.2 points -

Need help with working out how to ship a large item
Lyndication reacted to Tackle for a topic
Forget all that, i shipped something similar to the Lebanon, & back then size was going to hit me just as hard on the price as weight. So in folded it up as small as it would comfortably go, then put it in to a vacuum bag, kind you put winter jumpers & quilts etc in, when the air was sucked out it was less than half its original size, I then stuck the whole thing in to one of those HD mailing bags, making sure it was a snug fit so that if the vacuum bag leaked, the whole thing wouldn't blow up like a liferaft in the airfreighters cargo hold 🤣1 point -
Ngal/Peq15 reproduction repairs
Galvatron reacted to Lyndication for a topic
Yeah like I said, they're very cheap. Your TV costs 5-10x that and they don't have repair shops you can take them to either. Most manufacturers exchange like for like and maybe have one service center for the whole EU that performs board level replacement. It's part of why people have been banging on about Right To Repair for years now. If you paid me a fair rate to spend an hour inspecting and repairing it, plus shipping there and back, it'd already be getting close to the cost of buying one new. So people just do anyway.1 point -

Oh, it may be quite hard to repair. There's not really a dedicated service for that kind of thing, as they tend to be quite cheap. You may have some luck if you have a pal who has electronic tech skills, but usually the parts are tricky to procure. It sounds like a fault in the power line if both modes are flickering.1 point -

There’s a CQB site attached to the back of Extreme Airsoft near Leicester who have pistol only events and occasionally have special buy a pistol and a couple of mags and get a free game where everyone plays with that pistol and 2 mags. It’s an interesting game, very strategic where you have to choose your shots and make time to reload rather than just running in with a 250 BB midcap in a silent M4.1 point

Jaeger Impact Grenade
WildBoneZ reacted to Emergencychimps for a topic
Get a reusable grenade - but understand their weaknesses. Over the years I have got through at least 6 boxes of the .209 primers (100 per box) and at least 2 boxes of 9mm blanks (50 per box). If I had done the same number of throws with £2.50 disposable pyro, I'd have spent over £1750 (if I could have got them at £2.50 each!). I now carry 2 on me all the time (used to carry 3!) and only use them per life - so once used I don't collect and re use, I only reload it when respawning. As it is, I have spent about £150 on grenades and about £75 more on blanks......I still have 2 ohshibooms I can sell on at probably £100 all in, so my true "cost" is around £125 vs a estimated £1750 it would have cost in disposable pyro and these are conservative estimates! I haven't had any problems with ohshibooms, but I (99.9% of the time) only use them on concrete inside buildings. The only issues I have had with them have been due to me not doing the base up enough. I had a trmr and really struggled to get it to work. I also had a dynatec time delayed one which was awesome as it could be skidded along floors etc. if you play woodland sites exclusively, I wouldn't bother. Using them outside is a nightmare - they're heavy so they seem to find the best hiding spaces, even moderately long grass can make you struggle to find it. They also seem to defy logic on where they go, get kicked etc so often aren't where you would expect. I have only had 1 case of where it went "missing" due to people and the reaction of the marshalls saved the day and it was found on a barrel, outside around 20 metres away from the building I had used it in. With the trmr I used both the original base and multi shot base and had problems with both - the main trouble was remembering if I had a live one in the chamber, there were several throws while a used blank was in the firing spot and you can't exactly retrieve it mid firefight. it was also bigger and heavier. The original base was frequently not screwed on enough, I don't know if this was me, coming lose while moving around, coming loose while arming it for throwing etc. but I found l preferred the simplicity of a pin, the simple 1 bang, 1 use, reload - if the pin is in, it's live and the fact the ohshiboom is lighter. IF I were buying new now, the Frag C would have my money.1 point -
I can't add anything much different. I've bought from one from JK Army and I gave my UKARA number and it came though customs without any hassle.1 point

I’m going to back up this guy who is filming, it’s minimal cringe up against anything else in airsoft - and particularly if he’s filming for personal use rather than running a YouTube channel he is not inflicting his footage on others Cameras are the lightest things that ever get put onto a gun. Try going back to head/gun cameras in the 90s, assuming that you don’t have rails taking weight with no attachments, nor light, laser, reactive / optical sights @Gunboat Diplomat If he is looking at hours of footage of shots dropping low, then he is seeing where his shots go and is using his footage to learn - unlike all those players who call out ‘cheats’ when their shots are falling away We are (mostly) grown up adults who like to go out and play games shooting each other Some like to dress up, some slap every gadget on their gear, some take a battered old gun dressed in t shirt and jeans For the multiple cameras, people generally start with a head mount (it’s actually the most stable mount as our body stabilises the head & brain) When you watch back head mounted footage you find two problems: A lot shows the tree or wall that you are peaking around, otherwise you discover how much you are moving your head around looking here and there (or you discover that you are blinkered staring ahead only and keep getting shot out by someone coming from one side) Next comes the barrel / rail mount (though some start with this) This shows what you are shooting at, but the rest of the footage is the sky and the ground A kicking mustang / YouTuber adds a barrel cam claiming that it gives close up footage, but they want the crosshairs & zoom to then edit on the hit effects For a third camera a reverse mount goes on the gun to show you as you aim - these get added by the YouTubers for edits, but may also be added because you’ve seen someone else do it Bodycams may get tried, but result in a blurry image of your gun blocking all views A occasional sighting back in the day was a third person view mounted on a pole coming out of the back of the players vest - these tended to be quite novel as if you were not dedicated to editing a third person story view then you would immediately discard it when you realise how inconvenient it is getting caught in branches, bushes, doors etc1 point

Note: I have had an association with Enola Gaye for many years, and they have sponsored our events, so I do have a bias towards them which is based on both their quality and their ethos They conduct a lot of product development, Dr John of Enola participated in the drafting of many of the EU standards, and we’ve seen / taken part in his batch testing (One of our guys was also blown up on camera by a different brand without the same level of QC on the production lines - no serious outcome thanks to his glove and eye protection) I’ve never used their ‘new’ ball grenade of that type, and had used the early types of pineapple BB grenades - they weren’t anything special, but ball grenades perform a function (that I’m not interested in - I prefer a flashbang with suitable rules such as CQB room kills, though as @mrtea notes - ball grenades are rollable (the early models I used back in deepest darkest history were not rollable) My real love is smoke. It’s pretty as well as effective (when used properly - which can get expensive) You would like the CM75/SD75 - everyone would, but they are not for the general public and are not suitable for normal people’s wallets The WD40s and the EG18/EG18X give the right level of smoke for normal people. Their baby brother the EG25 gives just enough in a small package, not really for cover in a game but a nice amount of smoke in a tighter area that won’t disperse too much or as a small signal colour Bangs do some very clever stuff in the range, without needing to go to silly amounts of bang just for volume. The mk5 as standard and some clever timing / packaging can make them perform very differently The main problem with pyro is the size of the wallet governing how much you can have1 point

Forum Rules
TheCollector reacted to Deva for a topic
Anyone not cohering with these rules will face a suspension, ban or deletion of their account, this includes all posts and topics. The Guidelines • Search There is a search feature on this forum that will help you to find information that may have already been posted up. Often people experience very similar problems so the chances are that your question has already been answered is highly likely. Regulars to the forums will usually be aware if your question has already been answered several times before, so some may become annoyed you didn't use the search feature. There is a three character minimum length for searching, i.e. MP5, hpa, fps. Try using different search terms to get more results. • Giving advice Give solid advice only if you are sure what you are talking about. Don't mislead people as at best you are risking their money, and at worst, you are risking their safety. It's much better to say your only guessing and let others add to your answer than to lead the person into doing something wrong, and coming back and pointing the finger at you. • Post in the appropriate sub-forums If you want to chat about the latest Airsoft releases, do it in "Latest News". If you are new to the forums and want to ask a question, it might be best in the "Advice & Technical Help" forum. If you want to sell something, the "Classifieds" forums are the place to announce it. Basically, have a look at all the categories and post where you think your topic will be best suited. • Use descriptive titles for new topics Posting a topic with the title "Look here!", or "Please help", will not attract the attention of the users. If you use titles like "JG G36C gearbox problem", or "New gun from ICS!", more people will view your post and will know what they are about look at. Do not post titles in ALL CAPS, do not post misleading titles ("clickbait"). • Use good English and check your spelling! "1337-Speak" should also not be used on these boards. Nor should "text speak", use your word processing software to check for basic spelling and grammar errors, we aren't looking for the best English, but it is a lot easier to read a checked post, than another like, "hi, wel i av a prob wiv me gun u c nd i dnt no wot 2 do". Adding punctuation, full stops and commas make it easier to read. • Use Personal Mail (PM) Instead of posting in a Sales / Swaps topic which will cause it to 'bump' that topic just use your PM to communicate asking and answering questions. Sellers should be aware that any post, for whatever reason (especially answering questions or making a comment), that are before the 7 days is considered a bump. If you cannot receive PM then try deleting some old ones to free up space. • Caps lock Do not post in all Caps lock as it looks like you are shouting at somebody and is also very annoying to read. Topic and advert titles are to be in normal sentence case, not in all CAPITALS. • Don't post duplicate topics Multiple topics started about the same thing may be deleted, merged or moved at the moderators' or my discretion. If you intend on using the Classifieds forum you must read and follow the rules • Use "Smileys" effectively "Smileys" can be used in your forum posts. If you are joking about something, use them to help indicate that your statement was made humorously. They can be used to indicate your mood and show that something was not meant to be taken seriously. If you don't use them, people will assume you are being serious. Arguments have broken out before because of a misunderstood joke. • No Arguing Don't argue, if you feel offended by the comments of another user or believe a post is offensive, report it to the moderators, and they or I will be deal with it. Starting a fight may result in sanctions for all those involved. Our first decision is our final one! • Be nice to other forum users Treat others as you would like to be treated to yourself. There is absolutely no need to be abusive on these forums. If you are then your posts / topics will be edited or deleted, you may be given a warning, you may get your account suspended, and persistent offenders will be banned. • Post Spam Don't post just to raise your post count, there is no bonus in it, and moderators will become frustrated with the spam. Continued post spamming will result in a suitable sanction. • Be Constructive If you don't have something constructive to add to a thread then don't post at all. This applies especially in the "Classifieds" section, if you have something to say, PM it to the seller. Comments like "good luck with the sale" or "nice gun" are also not appreciated. Repeatedly ignoring these guidelines when you post, may lead to your posts or account being moderated/edited. If you intend on using the Classifieds forum you must read and follow the rules Forum Rules The following are rules that must be adhered to. Failure to follow these rules will attract the attention of the forum moderators. All moderators are friendly people and follow the rules laid out to them, they are there to enforce the forums rules, if you have a problem with a particular moderator please PM me "proffrink" personally. • Thread bashing/trolling There will be some posts or threads in the forum that you may not like. If you dislike somebody's thread or some of the people participating in the discussion simply don't bother reading or replying to it. Posting/trolling in it with the sole purpose of having it closed (bashing) will not be tolerated. • Off topic Try to stay close to the original topic of a certain thread as much as you can. If you wish to talk about something else make a new topic, do not use an existing one. Remember to use the search function as there may already be a topic for what you wish to talk about. • Spam Adding posts that contribute nothing to the conversation (spam) will be deleted or merged with a previous post. Do not "bump" your threads by posting irrelevant information or just "bump". It is spam and will be deleted.
