Cleaning vests/rigs etc.
Cannonfodder and 2 others reacted to The_Lord_Poncho for a topic
There was a bloke in the safe zone the other week who absolutely reeked after the first game. Not sure he ever washed his clothes, let alone his gear....! I'd venture it was so extreme, that it would put him at a tactical disadvantage. Like the rats in 28 days later, alerting the survivors by 'running from the infected'....3 points -

Don't fancy my chances with this one.... looks well warn out already. Hahaha On the ops question. It would be great to keep the forums going. Easy to navigate, find the right sections etc etc. I actually prefer them. But unfortunately, newer generations just want to post and move on Like with other platforms. Plus I've actually found that some people don't like forums, because you can't delete/hide negative comments. So on fb, if you make a post. You have control over who can comment etc. And still come out smelling of roses. Here, they have to face the honest truth, and can't hide from it!... Plus they can't be arsed to do the research themselves, where they can just keep asking the same 5 questions over and over hahaha. But I'm game to keep the forum as much as possible. I'd be interested to know how much it costs to run a forum. I'm not tech minded, so is a genuine interest here?2 points -

Tactical rifle crate ???
Sjkendall reacted to Cannonfodder for a topic
I got the flight case for my MP7 from here. https://www.cases-and-enclosures.co.uk/ They do bigger cases too and their prices are quite good. You loose the tacticool look bit to me that's a good thing as I use public transport so I want something that doesn't attract attention1 point -
All I see is some sick and twisted folk using light mode 🤮 I'd be willing to donate to remove ads, they get annoying when they cover half your screen every time I change section or thread.1 point

More powerful than an air rifle? It has a quick change spring. Admittedly, you have to do a fair bit of dismantling to get to it.1 point -

Might be difficult to find in the UK but, why not invest in a/some nuprol rifle cases for your rif's & a decent stacking tool box like these... https://www.screwfix.com/c/tools/toolboxes/cat831374 p.s. a crate like that full of all your gear will weigh a tonne. This looks good & a fair price IMO, hard to find a case as deep as this for rifles. https://casesuperstore.co.uk/product/exp13527-explorer-case-287-00-delivered/ Hell, I'm tempted to get one myself, at least 4-5 rifles in one case? Makes me wish I played more often to warrant it. (to hell with the weight)1 point -

Yeah, that is the other side of CO2. If you're leaving it for more than a day, you have to remove the bulb otherwise the seals will die a quick death. Because frequently, if you're relying on UK stores alone, there are never any mags in stock when you go to buy them.1 point

Got a notification from tridos so bought a few things: 1x NaMech Flux trigger; 1x Mk23 TDC adjustment key (that threads into the LAM unit hole on the trigger guard); 2x AAP upper lock buttons in red; 1x AAP red mag release + stronger spring kit; 1x HPA threaded cap; 4x UV-5R protective kits for me and my mates. Now I'm eyeing up the Source Commander 10L backpack, saw it last week at a tournament and I liked it a lot.1 point -
Issue with CO2 is once you put the bulb in you have to use it or you are wasting a what ever is left in the bulb. Also I really don't understand why some one buys something and then say what other manufacturers mags fit. Stick with like for like. You got a WE gun get WE mags you are not going to run into fitment/seal issues.1 point
-
price per shot with CO2 vs GG on a WE pistol is near identical, and actually works out cheaper if you buy the bulbs in packs of 40 or more. Only way to make gas cheaper is to be buying plumbers gas and using an adapter.1 point

Fair, but very quickly the higher cost of the Co2 will outstrip your initial outlay on a bottle of green gas....1 point -

Yeah buddy I believe the WE G17 is pretty much a TM clone (though not 100% parts compatibility) I ran a WE for a while as my first sidearm, and it was very good And used WE or Raven mags for it with no problems, only green gas I add as I never bothered with the faff of Co2 bulbs etc1 point -

Thanks I'll give the white vinegar a go, Google says add salt and flour to make a paste so I'll give that a try too. Fortunately the poppers still work so it's only really cosmetic1 point -

White vinegar is very good on rust, might work on this ? (Soak the affected bits for 24-48 hours) Although it looks reminiscent of limescale, so maybe a limescale cleaner might work ?1 point -

Few bits for the M190 and drug lord. New piston head to replace the 20+ year old one that disintegrated at my last game, new nozzle and anti freeze build for both. Fitted all the parts to the M190 and now it's pushing the bb's into the barrel past the rubber so it's all got to come apart again to figure out why. Fuck HFC. Pictures of the MP5 and USP combo to follow once I can get it out at the weekend without the Mrs knowing it's new 😂😂1 point -

TBH, I just disassemble my rigs and throw them in the washing machine. I just take the pistol holster and the grenade clamps etc off the vest. But i leave the mag pouches on, as they are velcro close pouches with no dangle bits of elastic or string to get snagged in the mechanism. Run the washing machine on 40°C on sports setting with a liquid detergent tab and some scent booster granules in the drum, fabric conditioner in the drawer. Then where possible, hang outside to dry1 point
