  1. Yeah, no Unless you're willing to show me proof of this recorded conversation, I'm calling bullshit and locking your thread AGAIN

  3. The police do not routinely check the career history of alleged victims of crime; that is my experience from being a victim of serious crime and from supporting people who have been victims of crime, and I checked it this evening with a serving police officer. Realistically, the only way they would know would be if you have told them at some point. So, let's say you rock up to the boot fair and demand that the stallholder returns the allegedly stolen goods; the stallholder says "Mate, I bought these from a guy I met in the pub." At that point, how are you going to prove that they are your allegedly stolen items? Do they have something distinctive about them that you can describe to the organisers before getting anywhere near the stall holder? If you have not, you are going to be out of luck.

  4. So why would they say ex-army, and not ex-police? Just so we're all on the same page, none of this adds up and everyone thinks you're talking utter bollocks, in the follow-up thread that no-one asked for, after you got locked out of the first one. In the (unlikely) event any of it's true, don't do dumb shit like keeping RIFs in your car and rolling around with them day to day. That alone should be obvious. Someone who says they have 4 kids should be a little more sensible and responsible. 🙄

  6. Finally getting around to posting after faffing about moving house. Picked up a boneyard JG AUG A3. The internal wiring is a mess and luckily another user on here had a Perun AUG MOSFET for sale. Now I just need the free time to work on it. Picked up a Ares Kel-Tec RDB17 for less than half the price of retail and the seller added a big flash hider which suits the rifle way better than the standard one. The seller also included TWO extra MOSFETs that come standard with the RIF which doesn't give me the greatest confidence about how well built the electronics are but I guess i'll find out. Sounds pretty snappy on an 11.1v lipo and the externals feel great. Definitely going to give this a run out when I next get to the field - I just need to figure out if my mags work with it as i've heard these RIFs can be pretty picky. A King Arms P90 and the extended barrel intended to mimic the PS90. Got it on sale from a retailer and found the extended outer barrel for ~£10. The same person selling the Perun AUG MOSFET also happened to be selling a P90 MOSFET so I grabbed that too. Not pictured: another boneyard G&G MP5 with some terribly applied two-tone. The charging handle had been snapped off and the gun is now in many pieces as I wait to replace the broken part(s) and strip the two-tone paint from it. For the new house, to clear out most of my bags/cases laying around, I bought a rifle rack/stand from ebay. It's kinda crappy but it works.

  7. So the gearbox in my E&L AKM is deemed to be defective as the Motor cage wont attach tightly enough in any direction and sounds awful as soon as the pistol grip is attached. Decided to swap in the gearbox in my LCT AMD-65 to the E&L (Whilst swapping the Cylinder to a full type. And going RetroArms/Mosfet for the AMD) RetroArms V3 CNC QSC Gearbox. LCT Magwell Spacer x2 RetroArms CNC Cylinder Head RetroArms CNC Type C Cylinder RetroArms CNC Steel Bearings RetroArms CNC Tappet Plate RetroArms CNC Fire Selector Screw RetroArms CNC Motor Cage RetroArms CNC Nozzle (19.7 and 19.8mm) Perun V3 Optical Perun Clicker XT M105 Spring Solink 12:1 Helical gears SHS Anti Reversal Latch This is paired with an existing T238 Brushless Motor and Prommy 363mm barrel.

  8. I seem to remember that some of the guns were very distinctive, do you have photos of them that you could produce if you find them up for sale. Even then you will probably need the police to attend as I can’t see them being handed back willingly, especially if the dealer paid for them him or herself. If violence erupts your just as likely to get arrested as the other party. I wish you luck getting your stuff back, but don’t let it lead to violence, walk away if things get nasty.

  9. So after deciding not to spend too much on the new 417 right away.. i bought a new inner barrel, a new M100 Spring, a scope, a bipod, and two 500mm pieces of raw ally bar/tube to make a silencer for it. I can't be trusted with money.

    Update on Stolen Kit

Assuming you can prove it's yours, & the seller has enough of what was taken still in his possession to match your crime report. Even then, you're assuming he'll roll over & say something like "it's a fair cop guv, fill yer boots", or alternatively he claims he paid good money for them & tells you to do one, will you then be forced to rely on the local plod to turn up, given that they've previously blown you out apparently.

Pleased you got your rifle back, but confused as to why the plod would make a ridiculous comment like that. I would reopen comms with somebody at a higher level, because you can guarantee that Mr "redacted" would do his best to backpedal & deny giving you that advice, especially if your snatchback went pear shaped in some way, which sounds likely if these criminals are adept enough to hack in to vehicles. The fact you have the conversation recorded is great, but may still not be enough to stop you getting a criminal record if you go ahead with your plans.

Blue 70 degree silicon autobot in my one (and indeed in most of my pistols) seems to work very well. I took the view that with the extra grippiness of the silicone, a 70 degree is about the equivalent of the 50 degree in old money. No idea if it really aligns like that, but the results seem to bear that theory out.

    Knobhead🤦‍♂️

Yeah, but if we think about it, impersonating a police officer and carrying an imitation firearm around in the open is nowhere near as bad as calling someone a stinky poopyhead on the internet. Ooooooh, there's some nice flashing blue lights outside my window. I wonder wha-...

  16. A sixth month community order? Fuck me people are getting prison time for hurting words on the internet.

  17. I think we as a community need clarification on how EXACTLY does the system work (or how its supposed to work but doesnt😏), what inter-agency communication there is, including how involved the carriers can be, & what we, or the offshore retailers can do to ensure the process is as smooth & trouble free as possible. Who here is a member of, or ideally involved in the hierarchy of any of the airsoft associations such as ukasa (might have got that acronym wrong ?) ect, maybe they can be convinced to open dialogue with ukba/hmrc/carriers to ascertain the precise process, & look at addressing what's going wrong ?. My take is it's likely lack of knowledge along the chain, retailers not labelling goods properly, & carriers/ukba/hmrc not knowing enough about airsoft & it's limitations, being blinded by the fact our kit resemble a gun, so therefore must be a gun😱

The hop seems to be adjusting itself. This could be the nozzle guide on the top of the bolt carrier rubbing the hop wheel as it moves forward. There should be a small scalloped section, try fettling that a bit and see if that sorts it. the cup seal on the nozzle seems to be causing excessive drag on the nozzle (yes properly lubricated) Some cup seals do that, the Dynamic Precision green ones are great and don’t do this. occasionally an extra BB will just roll out of the barrel. This is likely due to the hop being turned off by the nozzle guide. When the BB is chambered there isn’t enough friction to hold it and it rolls out. Tackle this issue last if it is still occurring.

  21. I bought an Airtac adapter, and with a simple twist of the regulator knob on the air tank, I made something inside my beloved VFC HK416 perform a Rapid Unscheduled Disassembly. It went from 'sluggish' to 'busted' with one ill-judged moment. A bit of metal broke off, not sure if it's from the bolt carrier or the trigger assembly, but the whole thing is jammed together and I've not been able to separate the upper from lower receiver (though I've not tried very hard yet). So what ever you do, take note of my hard won words of wisdom / caution: 1. Ensure your RIF is well lubed and shooting nicely at room temp from gas, so there's no internal stickiness to overcome. 2. Dial the air pressure in slowly (starting at 'way too low'), in small increments. The adapter will add a lot to the effective length of the mag well, so maybe invest in some VN mags for AR's, or short MP5 mags, as appropriate?

  22. Funny, but no, I've always had dealings with the police, coming from a police family it's hard to loose the smell of pig. The met are known to check these things, end of the day I dont care how they know doesn't effect me. I have my plan, im not going to use violence I'm keeping everything legal and the seller at the boot sale has no legal ground to stop me taking my stuff back
