Another vsr spring as I've forgotten which of the ones I have is 500fps and some guarder .4s. All from our new evil overlords, fire support.

In September, I was paired with a young lad, maybe as young as ten (parents were on site and in the game) and he was brilliant! He listened to me when I was communicating to him, he made a few good suggestions....he even took down a guy with an m60e with a Cyma mp5 hire gun! He lay down cover fire and didn't rush in like an idiot....wasn't even my son and I was still proud haha!!! Only had one bad experience with a Codsofter. He had a bright green m4a1 (SRC I beleive) and he wouldn't take his hits....even if it was painfully obvious that he had been hit from only a few feet away. Needless to say, most of the hires were lads on a stag do....the Codsofter suffered afterwards! He became the objective for every mission. Marshall: 'Ah right lads, you're aim is to defuse the bomb in under ten minutes' Stag members: 'No, we're going to kill that little shit with the green rifle!'

The tape was 48p! My plan is to upgrade as bits break! that way i can tell the wife "i have to get new parts as its broken"

My ultrafire CREE XM-LT6 arrived today. It says its 1800 Lums. I'm not sure if it is or not, all I know is its vision blindingly good! Well worth the £10. I'm just waiting on the rail clip to arrive for it, until then black electrical tape will have to do. I think I should of read the measurement of it when I bought it, it's a little long for my mp5

They may be a pain in the arse, but at least it's getting people into airsofting....

Dat Scope rise! Someone should make a custom High rise PSO or something,I've seen people do this before to get rid of the low aiming position on the SVD.

You don't need to do a new loadout,AFIAK the Belorussian spetsnaz still use KLMK and modern SPLAV stuff. Sort of the look I'm going for. But My rig is comprised of ALICE,but it looks almost identical so I'm not too bothered. This should go well with your SVD loadout,along with the KLMK two piece,like I said,could be a pretty accurate Belo spets loadout.

They looked a grey colour in the picture but might be black- not sure as it could be due to the lighting. Madbull have stopped making .4s in tan now too so I think it's pretty much dark colours only without looking abroad or something. Will give them ago this weekend anyway- i never had issues seeing my old madbull dark green .36s in woodland so fingers crossed I'll be ok. I've got ptfe tape- should've asked first lol, atleast it's really cheap anyway Don't forget to buy some new sears or a trigger unit (unless it already has them installed) otherwise you'll be slam firing pretty sharpish

Unless your batteries aren't charged it should be obviously brighter with 2 18650's. Did you test it somewhere with a lot of ambient light? I fell in love with mine when it arrived yesterday too - but a couple of hours messing with it and the blasted mode select has stopped working - it's stuck on full beam or off. Waiting for dove-xx to get back to me with their plan to remedy the situation grrrrrrrrrrrrrr V^^V Anyhoo, my Russian Sniper Harness just turned up... ...and it's great, but so obviously modern that I think I'm going to need a whole new loadout to go with it. Don't know whether to laugh gleefully or cry for my wallet! Full Berezka BDU's tho... hehehe

So I just tried to take the clip off the handle to discover that the grip on the handle can disconnect to shorten it. It means it runs off only 1 18650 battery but it doesn't look like it's any less bright. I just fell in love with it even more!

So I promised some pics with my new torch. It's an Ultrafire body with a CREE XM-LT6 1600LM LED & takes 2 x 18650 3.7-4.2V Lithium batteries - Pictured here next to my other CREE XML T6 powered torch = 1 x 18650 battery There's too much ambient light here for my phone to distinguish just how much brighter the torch beam is than the other sources. Here are some comparing the two torches side by side: - the single battery is a better quality one rated at 4.2V 4200mAh & unused since being charged last Friday. - the twin batteries are rated 3.7V 3000mAh & can't remember when last charged (weeks ago). - with small amount of ambient light. - in complete darkness. - this is a main road so brightly lit. Again it doesn't do the difference in brightness justice, as that porch light seems like a brighter source than the torch beam. In fact shining the torch in that direction lights up the wall all around the light, it's just that it shows as yellow on my phone, not white as it is.

Best put it at the end of that list...

I've said it before but the people that annoy me the most are the ones that get all shirty because you're not "doing it properly". It's a game. It's supposed to be fun. If you come to an open day event and expect everyone to be a Milsimmer then you're going to be disappointed/upset/abused. If you get upset because there's too many kids running about with bright orange "toy guns" then maybe you need to move on to a different site (let's not forget that a £300 G&G is STILL a "toy gun") and a different style of play. Maybe it's just being a bit older but I just can't get that annoyed by people at a game that aren't playing the same way as I am unless they're just being total dicks and you don't need to be a "CoDsofter" to act like a dick. In fact I've seen more "me big serious soldier, me wear multicam everything" types acting like dicks because they just got pwned by a kid with a see through G36. There is room for all of us on the battlefield of plastic death so get on and enjoy the game/sport/hobby for what it is and let's stop the infighting before it destroys it all for everyone.

I tend to play U18 games, and you do get a few idiots, but they tend to be first timers so I don't really mind them as they learn to do things differently by the end of the day. It's actually the guys who spend daddy's money on guns, gear etc instead of saving and using their own- one guy buys guns and gear on a whim, one game day he's running a brand new M249 with a full USMC setup, the next he's got a real sword SVD and all this '90s russian kit. That's the sort of person I have the problem with at U18 games, because you've got others like myself who don't all have high end gear and save money most of the time trying to compete with these rich kids.

Just keep an eye on the news, 'cos if anyone ever asks me if my L85 is a Battlerifle from Halo, the entire world is going to know about it...
