Cannonfodder Posted April 24 Posted April 24 This week I managed to make a complete balls up of the repair/upgrade on my KAC PDW. In no particular order I managed to tear the new hop rubber when putting the hop unit back on the inner barrel, loose the hop nub (fortunately I found again later) and while disconnecting the wiring a bullet connector came off. I'll try again today and hopefully things will go better Rogerborg 1

Popular Post Anonymoose Posted April 26 Popular Post Posted April 26 Somewhat productive day in the SkunkWorks. Started off by modifying a silencer/tracer unit, wasn't so fond of the grooves in it and decided to copy the Specter one, but with 12 smaller flutes. Before: After turning the OD down, it was put in the rotary table and flutes were cut with an 8mm ball-nosed end mill. Bit of lousy paint.. And now it looks so much better. Very happy with the result. Next up was a silencer that i bought for my MP5K-PDW. It's some specific type that i didn't realise at the time, but that didn't matter. I made an insert that'd screw on to the threaded outer barrel, but go over the 3-lug QD and sit closer to the front sight block. Turned from 38mm ally, bored to clear the 3 lugs, threaded inside, with an external male thread to fit a tracer and hex flats milled too. It's secured to the outer body with a grub screw. Finished + fitted: ak2m4, AidanSWYD, Cannonfodder and 7 others 5 5

Another quick job, added a short rail to my MP5SD silencer to attach an X400 clone. The silencer has a small grub screw to index it so i can still keep zero when i have to remove the silencer. Spare rail piece had a suitable radius cut into it to match the silencer: Small section of the ribs were cut off the handguard to fit a remote switch, which is held on with 3M VHB tape. Moderators Jez_Armstrong Posted May 2 Moderators Posted May 2 I wanted a go pro to NVG mount and the only one I saw online someone wanted £95 for a 3d print ? So I designed my own, very easy to do, mounts directly to the back of the nvg ButcherBill, Galvatron, BigStew and 1 other 4
Moderators Jez_Armstrong Posted May 4 Moderators Posted May 4 Well in true "fuck you I'm not paying that much" I've made my own NV mount that pivots to the side Used one of the fake PVS-14 body's, ripped the arms off, designed and 3d printed my own arms and now I have what I want ButcherBill and Cocha 2
Moderators Jez_Armstrong Posted May 6 Moderators Posted May 6 Now with iris ? 20250505_211136.mp4 Wavey_Gravey, ButcherBill, Enid_Puceflange and 1 other 4
Wavey_Gravey Posted May 6 Posted May 6 Amazing, you should sell those, save people paying £100 per one. Are they difficult to do? Surprised your housing isn’t 3D printed too! ?

The tube that attaches to the iris is 3d printed so it slides over the end of my tube Cost me £22 per iris and 30 min of 3d printing ButcherBill and Wavey_Gravey 2
Popular Post mightyjebus Posted May 11 Popular Post Posted May 11 At a stage where I'm happy to share the progress on this. China Lake 40mm grenade launcher. It will be a 3+1 40mm pump action grenade launcher. Externals are pretty much done and just waiting on some parts to make progress on the internals. All 3D printed in a mixture of ABS, PLA and Wood filament. There are a couple of parts that I'm going to CNC in metal (looking at you pump arms) but the 3D printed ones will be good enough for testing. Rogerborg, Adolf Hamster, Scythian and 9 others 1 11
