  1. Noise is the biggest turn off for me - I may take a punt on payday. For reference; my Exfog is in a pouch, velcro'd to my helmet, and my hearing protection picks up a noticeable constant vibration/low humming noise from the fan running. I can't imagine running anything that's much louder than what I use now. For those not using active hearing protection, could be worth a chance.
  2. When i bought my two TM NGRSs i looked at the upgrade stuff available. The general consensus seems to be that once they're messed with internally the reliability goes out the window. I've opted for just barrel & bucking upgrades, they shoot so damn well out the box there doesn't seem (to me) much need to mess with anything else.

For sale - collection only from nr Southend - 3 original Star hard cases. Used, all catches, corners and foam intact. £50 each, all three for £130. I rate these cases just short of Pelicases, and have had ‘guns’ shortened so that they’ll fit these cases, rather than use anything else! Internal area in mm - 830 x 285 x 120(approx) ex foam. * Can be posted for £10, via Parcelforce express48.

  4. Fully agree, anything but an aster is my opinion now after having 7 of them go wrong (Software wise) all with the same fault
  5. I mount my mk23 on a mid-ride platform and being 6'5" this allows it to not dig into the dirt. However if I was much shorter, it would dig into the mud whenever I take a knee. I don't run anything heavier than .32s in mine though because when using it alongside a bolt action or DMR it's mostly used for MED shooting, so 30m or less, and getting whacked by a .48 up close really sucks and I am a firm believer that we should consider the experiences of other players in our choices. It's nice being able to hit out to 45 - 50m accurately for a bit of flexibility (which .32s will do), but if I'm shooting at 50m or more... well, that's what the bolt action or DMR is very good at. And the Nov gen 3 mags are really good. I bought 5 of them for my mk23 and they're all amazing (I like having 5 pistol mags because MED means I use my pistols a lot); the screw in the baseplate for maintenance is so much better than the pin design that most pistol mags tend to have, and mine have all been gas tight since day one, even with me using propane through them. All I swapped was the gas routers for the Nineball purple ones I had in my other mags, but the feed lips work really well with my TM mk23 And this is a really nice idea. Might try putting something similar together with one of my spare thigh panels as while the holster I have works great with the mp9, mp7 and mac11 (magazines in the pistol grip) it doesn't work for the mp5k so that is relegated to shoulder rig if I want to use it.

Listed price is for both pairs. These go well over glasses but can be worn without. I'm not keen on splitting as the black pair have lower value and I don't usually bother posting anything less than £20. I have used these for Airsoft and they are sold as such on sites such as specs4sports.co.uk. However with something as important as eye-protection, I would encourage people to assess whether these meet their own requirements. For example I have quite a narrow head/face and as such there is a slight gap at the sides. This may not be the case with you. The lens is removable, so it's vital that you regularly check how it's seated in the frame and it's overall integrity. I cannot assume responsibility for any injuries caused if these in anyway fail to protect you from injury. Camo Pair Lens in good condition, some minor marks may be present. Foam pretty much as new. Black Pair Lens has quite a few scratches but still useable, foam is coming away from the frame. Both of these parts are replaceable, but that's why I'm considering the value of these at around £15 Stated price includes PayPal fees and trackable postage. Please PM rather than ad anything to the listing, as I don't get notifications for the latter.

  7. Is there an airsoft sites map like there used to be? Can't find anything even remotely up to date!

This is the latest map. Its not complete but its fairly good.

If you're looking for site reviews in Kent and surrounding areas, then consider reading the SE Tour reviews on this very site. :)

Bottom of the first post, you'll find links to all of them.

Very slow to shop anything out. Don't expect anything quick. Also stock system isn't the best. Numerous things are marked in stock but they don't have them
  9. Went to AWA Herts today. It wasn't a great day and I won't be back (at least not for a fair while!). It just wasn't good and frankly, there didn't seem like the potential it would ever be good. 1. Timings, they were late starting and then finished early for lunch. Lunch was almost 1 hour 45 minutes. Between each game it was a trek back to the safe zone for more time wasting. End of the day, there wasn't enough people with bbs to have another game before the day ran out....so they ended it early. 2. The games were very funnelled and limited ability to do anything other than a full frontal attach, the game zones aren't marked or explained before games, but when you've been hunkered down for ages and you're 3 metres outside the zone you'll get told. 3. Hit taking (for me) wasn't bad (for a member of my group doing his first game, it was terrible), but it wasn't great either. 4. The site has a few set piece areas, they're a trek from the safe zone and frankly either not used well or it's just a dull woodland site. 5. Swamp like mud and water. I get its very hard to manage drainage on a site, but they've been going at least 13 years and everywhere was like a swamp with little to nothing to prevent players having to go through 7-8 inch deep streams/ditches (3-4 feet wide) between the safe zone and game areas (and in game areas). No sign of bridges, anything on the paths to improve drainage etc. The staff were all friendly enough, took feedback etc but I got the impression nothing will change. I just can't see how I could justify going there when much better is available for similar money. It wasn't terrible, such as arsey marshalls. But there just wasn't anything really positive.
  10. I had been there on the 30th of November, the staff didnt mentioned anything, so I did booked online for 4 people on the 5th of December after I backed home on that night........ And they closed on the 1st... but I paid £160.... Has rise a dispute with Monzo, but I doubt that I will get my money back....
  11. Can anyone explain to me the difference between a VFC GBBR and VFC GBBR “EU VERSION” which seem to be a bit cheaper ? I’ve emailed two retailers both of which have just ignored me and thus ignored my money 😛 M733 - https://highpressureairsoft.co.uk/products/vfc-m733-gbbr-rifle-cybergun-colt-licensed Flat top EU Version https://highpressureairsoft.co.uk/products/vfc-vr933-gbbr-eu-version i don’t seem to be able find anything online , is it a trademark thing ? IE the EU version is a blank receiver ?
  12. pubs. shops. anything going to be left soon except barbers betting shops and vape shops?
  13. Yes and No. I have had a GHK v2 M4, a TM MP7 and a TM MWS and now I don't own any of them. I still have TM recoils that I bought around 10+ years ago. The GHK, I just had regular misfeed and issues with and it ruined at least 3 day games, games are precious for me, I am a dad to young kids and I don't get to go often, so I couldn't stick with it. I am sure with some fettling it could have been great, but I didn't have the time or the will. The TM MP7 was awesome, I wish I still had this, I had no issues whatsoever and 40 round mags and size meant carrying a few extra was easy. It also convinced me that the GHK problems were that it was a GHK issue, not a GBBR issue. As such I sold that and got a TM MWS, put around £1000 into it (mags, rail, hob nub etc, nothing to change anything significant) and again, had problem after problem with it so I gave up on gas guns. The nozzle arm thing got bent, mis feeds, gas mags venting, mags not taking gas properly due to metal nozzles on gas cans. Again, with some fettling or knowledge, this is probably easy enough to overcome. Having the knowledge and spares available to make adjustments on the day is key too. I was too hot to run on some days, even with the weakest gas. I have just picked up a GBLS DAS (not used yet). The mag capacity was never the issue, I currently run a ngrs with the 82 round mags and will be running 60 rounders next. The tactile nature, feedback, fun when shooting etc of a gbbr is awesome but I just found the inconsistency when actually pulling the trigger, the percentage of times it didn't work was too high for me.
  14. Hello, I'm wanting to upgrade my gen 4 g17 by WE but im really struggling to find anything. Has anyone got links for things such as recoil springs and guides, hop up units and rubbers etc for this sidearm please?
  15. WE can fit RS stuff OOTB, the only thing needs doing to it is getting the steel trigger group from RATech almost immediately. Aftermarket availability on everything is significantly better. TM ones are good, but extremely expensive and pretty difficult to get hold of the mags. Physically completely offspec (as with anything TM, because Japanese laws require it), so don't expect to be able to fit anything on them except stuff designed specifically for them. GHK QC is dogshit, unless by some fluke you can find a used pre-2018 one, don't even bother.
  16. Possibly a silly question, but have you charged the battery? If anything, removing the fuse should have improved trigger response slightly, unless your soldering is very poor.

Looking for a 7" M4 2 Piece RIS Front End for a MK18 MOD 0 look .... doesn't have to be in perfect condition but not looking for any items with "custom" paint jobs or so used they are 90% knackered. PM if you have anything.

  18. The old Depot warehouse site was run via a "community sports charity" so avoided rates that way. Rent would have been at tenants-of-last-resort levels, which is the problem with airsoft sites - they'll always be kicked off site the instant a more lucrative use can be found, and then you can kiss goodbye to anything you've spent on build works.
  19. I actually managed to make a purchase the other day, finally! Someone I messaged a couple of weeks ago and heard nothing from, and once the updates came in I saw that the advert was 8 months old so I figured I'd not hear anything. Then out of the blue, I got a reply and eventually got it all done and dusted!
  20. Never played there myself, while I heard it was far from perfect, it's a shame as there isnt anything else in London to the best of my knowledge. When I think about the amount of places in my youth in London that would have made great sites, bloody shame how things have changed.
  21. is there anything similar in the UK to the SureFire sidekick (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Surefire-Sidekick-Ultra-Compact-Variable-Output-Flashlight/dp/B0177H4S5Q/ref=sr_1_16?dchild=1&keywords=surefire&qid=1575133802&refinements=p_89%3ASurefire&rnid=1632651031&sr=8-16)

Well this discussion has me wanting one of those Nebo Mycros now.  I have one of their Big Larrys and it's a great light.

  22. Looking for a large set of FFI Tiger Stripe if anyone has anything knocking around

  23. Hey all I hope I find you well. Some of you will know me some not. Many of you I have met. I'm somewhat of a dinosaur now. I spent some time hunting 80-90-2000s spring guns. It became quite an obsessive project. I never thought I would get rid of any of them but I've come to realise much of the thrill was in the hunt, and I let one go and it was nice to let it go to someone else to enjoy.  I'm not sure what I want to get rid of some of you will have watched as I amassed it. There are so many it's very hard to list. If there's anything anyone is interested in do give me a shout.

Do I spy a TM USP Springer @heroshark?

That was the very first airsoft gun i bought when I was about 16-17 (well, my mum ordered it for me), back in the day when you had to send payable orders through the post. I ordered from an advert in Gunmart magazine, back when the allowed airsoft adverts. Must be 27 or so years ago now.

Out of interest, how much would you be looking for it?

      heroshark

@Speedbird_666 it is indeed. Was a non hop model originally but it's got the hop and functional slide stop fitted off a umarex/UHC clone model. Think a couple of mags too but only one engages the slide stop. £30+post .

After talking to people and seeing the comments I apologise this was definitely priced too high this now is cheap for what it is i have since had this kit valued. Sorry feel free to look again and decide this is due to my knowledge not being sufficient. Included- Rif 11 mags 2 scopes Aap with tracer unit Genuine pelli case Charger I'm so reluctant to let this one go I paid £1200 for this RIF then another £677 on getting it right barely used since having everything serviced I'll paste what I have had done and the comms.. the best RIF I have ever used by a mile any questions please ask these are not for new airsofters. Comes with torch red dot a scope 11 mags these are £60 a pop and a fully authentic peli case real daniel defense rail from a real M4 any questions feel free to ask. Shoots better than anything on the field by a mile I will post below the work I had done this is my comms with tac. Hello Alan, All done and good to go ! Quite a bit to go through, so breaks down as follows: MOTOR Re-Wind inc New Comm, Service & Latest Mods has been carried out. GEARBOX This has been stripped, cleaned, inspected and serviced. The Gearbox is in excellent condition. Mods have been carried out, then rebuilt and lightly greased with Tamita Cera-Grease HG. ELECTRONICS Moisture Proofing has been carried out. In addition I found the the EL-004 Control Cable had been damaged and two of the four wires severed. This meant the PTW was effectively dead an nonfunctioning. The damage would have been caused by careless removal - or attempt at - of the Buffer Tube. Turning the Tube without moving the Wiring forward mean the Tube sliced into the Wires. The damaged EL-004 has been replaced with a new item. Lately I have replaced the Deans Connector with a better quality item that has stronger tension plates on the terminals. INNER BARREL/HOP ASSEMBLY This has been serviced and Hop Mod carried out. The Hop is set roughly where it need to be, you just need to fine tune it. CYLINDERS Black M90 Systema Cylinder. This has been stripped, cleaned and inspected. Then Service & Upgrade/Tune carried out. This Cylinder has been set for 350fps, or as close to. Gold M90 Clone Cylinder. This has been stripped, cleaned and inspected. Then Service & Upgrade/Tune carried out. Also being a Clone I completely stripped it down as these are never assembled correctly at source, as in nothing is “loctited” ! This Cylinder has been set for 328fps (1J), or as close to. In both cases the “tune” includes" a set of four 2.5mm Spacers. These Spacers are fitted to the Spring Guide, which is part of the rear Cap. To adjust Muzzle Velocity add or remove the Spacers as required. As it is the Systema Cylinder has three fitted to achieve its Muzzle Velocity, and the gold Clone has two fitted. The unused Spacers are in two small bags. Note: Do not exceed four Spacers in a Cylinder. Also do not put spacers inside the Piston. Lastly the old Spacers I removed form these Cylinders, do not use. UPPER This was found to incorrectly assembled with the Outer Barrel loose and flopping around. The Barrel Nut was not correctly tightened. The Upper was stripped down, then a shim added to the Barrel Nut. The Nut was then torqued to the required tightness, thus properly securing the Outer Barrel. The Handguard was then refitted, and the missing the Muzzle Brake Spacer supplied and fitted with the Muzzle Brake correctly installed. LOWER Issues here were the Buffer Tube Nut not sufficiently tight, and the Cap not correctly shimmed. Also the Rear Take Down Pin holes in the Lower & Upper were not correctly aligned. As this is a factory Lower it seems the reason for this is it not the original Upper Receiver, otherwise the rear holes would be aligned. The result of this is the Take Down Pin was not a smooth sliding fit, and had to be forced in and out. So much so that excessive force had been applied to the Take Down Pin to push it out. The result of this was the Stopper Pin was bent out of shape, and the Receiver damaged around the Pin hole. Removing the bent Stopper Pin was, er, challenging ! Once out I could re-shape the Receiver back to where it should be. As the Take Down Pin & Stopper Pin had been damaged I have replaced them with new items. The Rear Take Down Pin holes have been read and correctly aligned. The Pin now pushes in and out smoothly with only finger pressure required. The Bolt Stop Mod has been carried out. This ensure the Bolt Stop does not suffer from creep under use which results in the it working into the off position. OVERALL The PTW now functions nicely with rock solid Upper, and zero play between Receivers. MAGAZINES I have gone through these and checked them, cleaned the Feed Mouths, and carried out tweeks. Three of them are the very early Light Grey cased type. These have fairy soft springs, so do not exceed 0.25g BB’s. The four with the Magpuls seem to be the newest and have the strongest Springs. The rest are seemingly all HW’s as well. The “sticking” one has been completely stripped. Most likely the reason for it sticking was it had been over crammed with BB’s. It now functions smoothly. The last one was completely jammed. Turned out a Feed Lip had got forced inside and was jamming the BB’s. This Magazine was beyond repair as the damage to the Inner Cassette means the Feed Lip can no longer hold itself in situ. As such it is has been left partially dismantled and can used for spares (just not the Cassette casings). Motor Re-Wind inc New Comm, Service & Mods £165 Gearbox Service £50 Moisture Proofing inc Replace Deans Connector £40 EL-004 Control Cable £5 Hop Mod £50 Systema Cylinder Service inc Upgrade/Tune £75 Clone Cylinder Service inc Upgrade/Tune £80 Upper Work £50 Muzzle Brake Spacer £3 Lower Work £50 Take Down Pin & Stopper Pin £13 Magazine Service Repair £50 Shipping £20 Total with PayPal £677.25 Please make PayPal payment as "Goods & Services" Cheers,
