  1. Rubber banana or flip flop also work. I have been killed by a squeaky pig thanks @ImTriggerHappy and a rubber chicken @L3wisD ffs
  2. I get your conundrum but I don’t recall it ever being an issue. Personally I wouldn’t take the Grenada hit if I was 100% sure it came from a dead player. there have been quite a few times I have taken 50/50s when we both had bbs in the air but I tend not to take hits if someone shot me after I clearly got them. although a whinger got me in trouble at AP and I did have a long moan at the marshals as I got the drop on him and got him in the back, he turned around and shot me and started shouting that I didn’t take my hit
  3. It takes about a week to fire one bb with the awful pull of a mk23 so I don’t really know why you would want a drum mag. I’m sure some special individual will buy it though. Probably not for what it cost in parts and labour though
  4. Bought a few bits, super friendly service, a guy called me to tell me he serviced the boneyard gun I bought and how it’s firing explaining everything in a long phone call. was very happy with the service and would certainly buy more
  5. Sod that. I’m all about minimal load outs nowadays. still looks great, love the sci-fi look
  6. Looks really cool. Maybe not the most practical for your average skirmish but looks great
  7. Haha yeah stupid auto correct. hmm I was told the glock ones would be fine. Now there’s a dedicated aap one makes me think it’s not ideal. I might source one of those and give it a go. I have had another look and can’t work out what else it could be so I’m going with that. cheers
  8. Makes a change from the “want to play what’s best gnu” threads 😂😂 You clearly have done your research, it’s refreshing to see rather than being asked best gun and best place to buy and do I need a license haha
  9. Despite the obvious flaws I had a great day, the rentals were easy to shoot, granted some were invincible but I felt like I was in the special forces racking up the kills 😂 I would prefer some more marshals if there are going to be that many rentals I prefer other sites but it’s defo not one to avoid. Would happily go back if we found other places were booked or not open And honourable mention to the safe zone. The food and coffee shop selection was great. The shop had everything you could want or need too. Just the toilets hat let it down
  10. Cheers, an actual working pistol would be nice for a change 🤣
  11. Mine has never worked since buying new from elite shooting centre after having a new barrel n bits put in it. You have just reminded me to put it back to stock and try again haha
  12. Hey guys, a little help please…. I have “upgraded” my original aap (on the right in the pic) with a new trigger and hammer assembly as the first hammer melted. And the slide catches on something, putting the new stick one side by side the new flock cow cow hammer bits seem to stick up ever so slightly. I can’t see what else it’s catching on. Any ideas? Not the slide, but you know what I mean, hopefully 😂
  13. I have got back into painting minis since the first lockdownnd have been enjoying getting back into the hobby. I was a huge GW nerd as an early teenager and yeah it has changed SO much. The number of editions and rule revisions is staggering, the cost of minis went to a ridiculous place and although still very expensive for what they are GW are doing a good job of making box sets to make it affordable and also there are smaller scale skimish games (think 40k or warhammer but with 1 squad vs 1 squad rather than armies). And there is a huge interest for early edition games and models with some original models selling for stupid money. I cry at the amount of stuff my mum must have chucked out when I moved out and what its now worth on ebay and the sales channels. Also lots and lots of companies making and people 3d printing proxy models means getting into the hobby now can be cheap as anything. I know people who have printed whole armies for next to nothing and only needed to buy the rulebook to play. Yeah GW frown upon proxies and making your own and the true neckbeards will always grumble about this but its the same in airsoft with the geardos and cryebabies. But I play a few of the smaller skirmish games at a gaming cafe and almost every single table/game when I am there has a proxy or homemade printed model on each table when I look around. Playing in GW stores is a thing of the past now as most of the shops have closed.
  14. So i have finally put my melted AAP back together with the new hammer and trigger parts but something is catching now. When I pull the slide back to cock it most of the time its fine but sometimes it catches on something. I cant seem to work out exactly what its hitting, anyone had a similar issue?
  15. Plenty of empty toys r is stores around and they all have parking if some enterprising Airsofter wants to look into it.
  16. It’s not cheap (I picked mine up second hand though) but I personally use a warrior assault systems universal holster with my pistols. I often run different pistols at different games and this allows me to run them all with minor adjustments. I did have a DTD mk23 holster but it became a PITA swapping this out for other holsters if I wasn’t taking the mk23. Personally I wouldn’t really go for the cheapest holster as 1) I have seen/heard of people losing guns from them 2) they tend to be rubbish materials and could fail (see point 1) Personally I would look for a WAS universal one in the classifieds it works fine with loads of pistols and will last forever
  17. As nick said its more about how you approach the game rather than if it will work for you. With loads of different guns to choose from we often get caught up in the which da best gnu topics and chats buts its all down to play-style. Yeah limited ammo, heavy mags etc, but man an MP7 is fun to use. Range is also one of those topics which is divisive, its not a sniper rifle, but if you find yourself out ranged then be more sneaky and get closer. I run a mixture of either MP7 or MP9 with 6 mags, or an aeg with a drum mag generally. Depends on how im feeling, sneaky or speedy really. Some game days I will play the AEG in the morning and the gas gun after lunch if I cant be bothered to leg it around everywhere.
  18. I dont know how many people there are left on here that will get this?
  19. The hammer is necessary. I thought about the selector switch but ultimately decided against it as I only use semi. Full auto is for those showing off moments but are so far between I couldn't really see the point in installing it. The only thing currently upgraded internally on mine is the hammer as the original melted on me. There will be a new trigger and a waldo short stroke kit in it soon but I cannot really comment on the nozzle set. Magwell and slide are purely gun bling really. I like the mamba slide but dont want to pay that price for it, I have a magwell but currently its not installed as it doesnt play nice with a drum mag.
  20. I have one but its the one with an internal thread, we had a discussion before and I think its a real steel one as it needs a new tube which I actually havent got around to finding yet DOH
  21. Totally get you on this, but my logic says if its open for a service, and warranty voided, why not upgrade it at the same time? But then I only have 1 'upgraded' gun and that was a pointless waste of time Tell a lie, I have fiddled around with two pistols so you could say they are upgraded, but I done those myself and neither are in total working order so likely not haha They quickly become triggers broom though dont they. Like the sales posts with "everything upgraded" its not the same gun then is it? its a frankengun.
  22. The reason I wouldnt is a warranty issue. I can use a brand new gun for a while safe in the knowledge that a warranty will still cover me IF it does go wrong. The moment a tech opens it up the warranty is lost and if the tech is just giving it a service an a stock part fails then your screwed. I would rather use it until it does go wrong or I feel it needs some upgrades then send it off. But each to their own.
  23. VERY nice, what stock is that? would be keen to put somrthing similar on my vector
  24. I have carbined one of mine, its pretty damn cool. I have plenty of SMGs but theres something about a carbine pistol thats a bit easier to move around and its a bit different. I still have a pistol on my waist when I use it though for the flexibility. Plus the AAP is so damn cheap its easy and inexpensive to chuck all the add ons onto it. Although when you add it all up it is the price of a cheaper SMG oops haha
  25. When I saw this on site, the guy running it had a spare bulb holder, so once the gun was empty, he popped it out and put another straight in with no fuss rather than messing with new bulbs in the middle of a firefight. I suppose he then put more bulbs in whilst in the respawn or back in the safe zone
