Heroshark, definitely a good investment
-
Well, as it's nearly Christmas I decided to throw some more money at this project. TBH for the moment it's finished! Current Settup: Magpul VLTOR receiver, Magpul Grip and Stock, Spikes 12" Tactical Rail, Madbull DD 14.5" Outer barrel and OSS Supressor, P* Jack with Amped IGL, Blade SPEED trigger in a G&P Gearbox. Orga Magnus 6.23 445mm Barrel, Prommy Purple Rubber flat hopped with a Namazu nub in a Prowin Hop chamber. So far i've only set the thing up for use with .3's. I need to test properly before I start mentioning range and accuracy .

Wives are very strange, they ask you what you want, you tell them very clearly and with links to sites selling said products for the best price and they f*cking get you socks, pants and DVD's you didn't ask for!
-
No point in asking my wife for anything airsoft so I jumped the gun and bought myself everything for my P* DMR project.

I'm searching for a better 4mm to 6mm push fit for my HPA rig! At the moment I use a 4mm push fit with a male foster that plugs in however it's prone to leaking. Ideally I need a compression style fitting.

And don't forget if you shoot stright up at the sky, the BB will fall a few inches infront of you, so if you're behind a wall and want to hit people the other side it can be very useful

Kydex Holster Made in the EU. Free Shipping to UK.
Snakeeyes75 replied to Holler's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
I have one of PT's Kydex holsters and I can honestly say they're bloody amazing! I have a TM 5.1 Hi capa and the fit is fantastic! Really good company to deal with -
I noticed this on the EAG page. Haven't Combat South got something going on down in Portsmouth?
-
Right, Time to necro this topic, My P* project has begun, I have a new P* Jack installed into a G&P shell with a Flat blade Speed triger. Amped IGL out of the grip (At the moment). VOLTR/Magpul Receiver, Magpul Grip and Stock (Will be replaced) a Madbull 14.5" outer barrel, Spikes Tactical 12" rail, Prowin hop.... So far! My next part will be the inner barrel/hop rubber. I'm thinking 6.23 Orga Magnus or a 4.07 Miracle barrel? Which would be the best option? BTW, I'm looking at flat hopping the nub so probably a Prommy setup?

Another Person Hit In The Eye By A Ricochet
Snakeeyes75 replied to Ian_Gere's topic in General Discussion
I'm only 14 months into the hobby and I've had a hit just like yours and the one the other day (It caused no damaged but smarted like a bastard!), When I have a mo' I'll get a pic uploaded of my new Heroshark setup. It's pretty much all joined but without having to strap it so tight against my face it causes headaches. It's crazy how BB's will find a way in though! -
After about 6 hours of scratching my head I ended up putting 2 washers on the left side of the grip and half a washer (Cut down the middle) on the rear of the gearbox. Now when it's all tightened up it pulls straight I didn't realize gearbox alignment shimming was a fairly common thing!

Another Person Hit In The Eye By A Ricochet
Snakeeyes75 replied to Ian_Gere's topic in General Discussion
Firstly, I'm glad to hear you're ok! It scares me to hell when I see people with shooting glasses. I wore my brand new Heroshark Full face last Sunday and a BB struck me on the edge of my cheek bone and stopped inbetween the glasses and my face! Probably the closest I've come to a world of pain! Ironically it was my last hit of the day. -
EG all the way! EG18's are the best for lots of smoke but are fairly big. The best ones i've found are the burst smoke as they smoke from both ends really quickly. (Problem is getting them)
-
After an afternoon of f*cking about, I'm going to have to shim it somehow. There's a small chunk missing out of one of the rear body pin holes so when you nip up the grip and stock it bends the gearbox to the left (Selector plate side)
-
Hi all, I've taken the plunge and bought myself a P* Jack unit. I've used a G&P V2 gearbox shell and fitted it into a VLTOR/Magpul Receiver. Here's the problem, when I tighten up the grip and the stock (Again, both Magpul) it twists the gearbox to the left so the nozzle rubs on the hop rubber. For those that haven't seen it, here's the gun I'm blatantly copying: I realize he's using a P* Fusion Engine. I have no clue what to do to sort the issue Is this problem common to building guns?

Airsoft meet for Sussex & the Mall
Snakeeyes75 replied to Hef Legend's topic in Other Events and Meets
I live in Worthing. Is the Mall the closest option? -
Well, I sem to have turned this thread in to a JC debate, sorry about that! One thing I have to add, a gun firing at say 550fps on .2's doesn't really gain any extra distance. 600 fps and you start seeing a bit of an increase. I've often wondered what the fps of a BB would be at 25 meter mark (In other words, how much force is lost in the first 20-25 meters). Having a 25/30 meter "ME" helps more than anything. Oh yeah, do people not realize that 1 yard is not the same as 1 meter? I now have a Hawke optics Laser range finder and even in the video review they talk about yards, it measures ONLY in Meters!
-
Here's where the argument lies.... 100 meters IS achievable BUT.... Joule creep plays a massive part in it! Ask anyone with a decent Tanaka how far they can fire. My Gspec has been through several internal combinations until I've settled with what I have now (For the moment) but at one point it was firing .2's at 498fps and .43's at a whopping 400 fps. With a bit of over hop I was getting 90-100 meters measured but you're essentially talking about a gun that fires at just under 600 fps! Nowadays I'm happy with 70 meters with a 7:10 hit rate! My current chrono readings are 475/340 which is correct for the .43's

.43 and heavy ammo out of stock everywhere
Snakeeyes75 replied to Dannn's topic in General Discussion
Socom Tactical. They sell .43 proballs @ £18 for 2000. From what I've read they're rebraded Rockets but they give them an extra polish. From what I can gather, there's been a massive problem with BB's from .3+ although it's the heavier weights that have been mostly affected. I have about 6000 .43 rockets + 2000 Socom, I gave away YES I GAVE THEM AWAY!!! 2 bottles of Nuprol .43's which (When working) were the best BB's I've used. I'm still seeing peole getting the odd jam, it's worth spending an afternoon rolling BB's down the barrel to see if any are oversized. -
I had the same issue. Right, the genuine Blackhawk one is the best to have! All you need do is take about half an hour with a dremmel filing out the area mainly around the nozzle. It takes a bit to get it right but once done it's spot on! plus you have the BH quality that prevents the gun falling out. Worth noting, I tried one of the clones and although the fit was easier to achieve you can easily pull the gun out without the retention button being pressed. Also worth mentioning, If you want a good alternative, theres a company called Phoenix tactical, based in Barcelona and run by a guy called Tito Villalobos. He did me a custom Kydex holster for my Hicapa and it's bloody superb!
-
I'm impressed! Although I have to admit, my wife's left handed and she holds a gun in her right hand?
-
Have you tried firing a Bolt action sniper rifle with your left hand? (Assuming your right hand i the dominant one).. It's horrible! God help anyone, friend or foe that's infront of me!
-
Engineered socks by Bridgedale, any good mountaneering shop sell them! The best I've ever had were Burton Snowboard socks! Knee high (Never fell down) and lasted me 10 years! 10 YEARS!!!!!!!

I have 2 of the Condor BB's with a Viper Cheapo belt. Works a treat and seems to be a bit longer than other BB's (it can hold that bit more at the front).
