Soz is this Epsom Bunker ??? If they haven't got shop then they need to get a retailer to update database I think. But even so it is a bit off and quite annoying if the new player is chomping at the bit to acquire their first RIF. I know I was like I said. Even if it isn't Epsom, any site should deal with their players new or old in a mutually respectful and professional way. It is a 2 way thing and if a site good or otherwise bad drags their heals a bit then it may deter new regular players starting or joining that site. Very sorry you are having to wait n wait, yes the guy might be busy with full time job but thought sometime over last 3 weeks a little time could have been set aside for update n admin of site including new or renewing members = customers, which in effect allows the site to operate

indeed - eye pro is top priority, you can get light up stark bollox naked but at least you will still have your mince pies at the end of day (riddled to hell but at least you can see your injuries yourself) some sites demand/prefer the much younger players to have full face as opposed to sep eye/mask that way their is no possible gap between the two, and ensures that little Jimmy retains all his teeth than if he just wore goggles alone you will probably be ok with good well fitting seperate eye/mask but just letting ya know they "can" be picky/prefer full face loadout is fine - ensure your eyes are more than just basically protected though as you could be hit by 450/500fps sniper or some tw*t point blank in ya mush.

difference between the TM v2 gearbox vs your average v2 gearbox
Sitting Duck replied to JakeD200297's topic in Electric Guns
TM type 2 gearbox is what they mean - but it really is a good G&G box with 8mm bushings (should be 8mm bronzey bushings) The stock std FireHawk has 8mm bearings - but the others have 8mm bushings Trust me - we all wanted a gun that fires @ 349.999999999999fps and fires like f*ck rof we all thought we was gonna build a DMR & then a DSG setup........ Nah - you can get a gun tweaked to fire on 7.4v - from say stock 14rps to nearly 50% @ 20 that is on stock gears - on hi speed you could get close to nearly 30 if you go the whole hog on 12:1 gears but as it runs faster you get more wear and more problems of Pre Engagemnet - piston getting smashed on sector gear Suffice to say a nice tweaked stable gun firing at say 20 to 25 is a good balance. it should last a while, mags should feed no problem etc...... if you are that bad at shooting - you don't need a high rof aeg - you need a grenade launcher instead -
difference between the TM v2 gearbox vs your average v2 gearbox
Sitting Duck replied to JakeD200297's topic in Electric Guns
Think the stock G&G would of been better with the radius cylinder & 8mm bushings for starters is a nice box to work on - well except the screws on the other side but a nice box indeed having had some f*$%ing $hite cheap boxes apart - the G&G normal CM is a very good box What forms the basis for a good decent reliable gun is the box - mainly Never said it was perfect - still no O-ring & benefits from a better seal & AOE etc - but most boxes are just mass slung together All the same - it is a good box that forms the basis for the workhorse, when people buy cheaper crap BB guns then the box is what fails first - a lot of SRC's still use really thin metal, poxy alloy type gears, 6mm plastic bushings and they do fail - trust me.... Only time G&G boxes have failed is coz I have really took the pi$$ and pushed and pushed them until they quit other makes have failed on stock setup and when investigated you can see why coz the box is much lower quality you want any easy upgrade - solder deans & do away with small tamiya BUT keep it at 7.4v lipo for now.... When you wish to tweak it then open her up and mess around, upgrade stuff, rewire with mosfet but for now if you are happy leave it as is for first skirmish - see that is running all dandy then after first skirmish - fit deans I think for a 10% increase in rof/response and stick to 7.4v lipo's......... -
The only changes - apart from mag of course I have made...... Stubby M4 stock - many of my guns have this - just allows me to use almost any battery (rear wired gun btw) (crane stock is fine but means I can use bigger/fatter higher capacity block type batteries using a cheap stubby stock) Changed the flash hider to a cheap "claymore" type - only coz thought the CM18 has a sort of G36 type one that was all. The flip sights are same as FireHawk, the 2-tone effect of black/tan or tan/black looks sexy and rail covers are comfy if you grip ris (if you don't mount a simple grip up front) 275 barrel so a good size for an all rounder - 275 to 300 is a nice barrel length so with the sights and longer RIS it is like a bigger tanned relation of the FireHawk - just not so loud flash/amplifier & not so titchy But like I said - the CM range of guns are all the same internally, just with different fancy externals. The Combat Machine from G&G is a great starter - the internals are good and very tweakable almost any of them are great to buy as a starter and tweakable to keep for a while or in fact as a good spare if you ever upgrade to a high spec gun This is why so many of us keep banging on about them - yes G&G's are so damn common as muck but they are so popular for a reason and is why I call them the Ford's or Ford Transit's of Airsoft

Blowback or not it is still a toy gun to me and more to go wrong - but that is just my personal opinion..... My own favourites - none are blowback though...... CM18 - nice gun, comes with crap mid cap though, apart from that a very nice sexy gun or 30th edition GC16 - metal receiver and nice gun too - not rails galore like CM18 but excellent value for money Both of the above are very nice guns and if they did a 30th CM18 or Raider I would without doubt say that is best choice £150 gun Other than that - a simple Ford Transit G&G Raider - like the very common Transit comes in Long or Shorter version but very good workhorse too or the loudmouth bitch FireHawk perhaps if cqb is your thing...... or if on a budget the Carbine - regular or the shorter lite version - but for say £6 more I'd get Raider for the rails end of the day all the above models are just tarted up carbines anyway but still good mechanics for a good starter gun

is it the original 19 tooth sector with say teeth removed ??? Forgive me but going by the Army R85 being a clone of it, then if original sector gear then it is very likely still gonna pre-cock or cut-off lever being activated mid stroke as opposed to the usual straight after piston is released... Now a SR25 SECTOR gear may - and I say may work as it is 19 teeth also but the cut off cam is directly after piston release BUT - I haven't really messed with my R85's yet - but was one of things I was thinking about.... Deffo the R85 spur is a bit weird and is different to "normal" stock gear sets (I was messing about with a SHS R85 gear set in a v2 box but all gears didn't mesh correctly & seemed like spur was not meshing - could be a higher ratio than a stock 18:1 but whatever - it didn't work properly) However the SR25 & L85 sector's do "appear" similar 19 teeth (not tried the SVD AEG 19 teeth) so if they did work then the difference would be L85 or R85 has the pre-cocking & SR25 does not The pre cocking on 85's was always a bit hit n miss - maybe ask Sp00n - he has done some work on G&G's & has a R85 spare box I think soz to drop him in it but I got a hunch that a SR25 sector might be worth trying in L85's to eradicate the semi lock up's perhaps before people go down the usual 15 tooth piston & spacer route - again I not tried it yet but sounds to me if still using a short stroke R85 sector then that poxy pre-cocking position might be part of reason still why semi lockups still happen If you have 13 tooth - very short stroke piston btw - most go for convential 15teeth normal aeg piston and aprox 9mm/10mm spacer behind piston to make up for missing 3 x 3mm teeth) then you may be able use a "normal" M4 sector with a couple of teeth removed if your sector is a normal M4 one then it should not happen coz it won't pre-cock no more Again - this is my understanding of L85 or R85 problems but like I said I haven't ripped my boxes open just yet so take all this crap with a pinch of salt - it is just my theory/understanding of it so far best ask Sp00n or others with real hands on experience of G&G L85's....

The AK47 has a longer barrel of around 455mm which "can" help accuracy The Hi-Cap Magazines hold more - 450-500 as opposed to say 300ish for M4's yes you can get say 500 for M4's but also you can get 1,000 for AK's (then it gets silly with drum mags) The AK I find a bit less ergonomic with its fire selector and is not as "RIS"-full as M4's I can't say I love the default AK iron sights and mounts either BUT - as an aeg it does do well out there G36c & mp5k's have the selector on both sides so easy to use for left or right handed shooters if you find you start to shoot with right & switch to left hand or vice versa throughout the day both are worthy considerations - these compact & perhaps smaller/lighter guns may also help (if shooting from a possible weaker left arm I was meaning as they are mostly polymer rather than say a full metal M4 AK etc....) But CM18 like most of G&G starters are polymer - and robust rather than some cheap brittle plastic guns (just some think they must have a full metal aeg or it is gotta be crap)

Ring them - it takes minutes to do a paypal refund or a credit card refund Most likely they "forgot" to follow it up, it does happen now n then Be polite - ergh I don't seem to have received my refund..... so to speak... & say you need this money back in your account etc.... Next time be more forceful dropping hints of contacting paypal/credit card/bank..... A pain when you have to "remind people" but if you are having to wait - jeez try overseas stuff from ebairsoft lots of stuff and of stock you find out after 6 weeks and have to chase them to get the refund they said they will issue let us know how you get on

Deffo hassle your site a bit more..... Think what gave my site a little zest in finally getting there finger out was a few UK retailers ringing my site up to confirm my details So if you buying from a UK Ukara retailer they should be able to contact your site's shop and ask your site/shop to confirm you are a regular skirmisher etc..... As long as a site has its ukara shop it can verify you are legit otherwise a site without a ukara shop has to get some ukara retailer to put you on list/database My site does have a very basic ukara shop online and so can process the ukara stuff all itself like many sites However if your site isn't a ukara retailer then it has to ask another shop to enter details..... Yeah my site was getting fed up with a couple of other shops kept ringing them - ProAirsoft told me - brill shop they were Soz for long post - it is a little grief to get sorted and ffs we are in mid April now your site should of got it sorted by now (time to keep an open eye for any other local sites me thinks)
-
ya need one of them AK railed covers at patrol base Then you can mount more rails & mount even more side/angle rails to add more mounts for more rails until finally you can't see jack in front of ya - that is if you can still lift the thing up
-
Sites and they way they process it can really vary..... Supposed to be something like 3 games in 2 months - or is it 2 games in 3 moths - oh well whatever But did 3 games within a month say eg: 1st 15th & 29th - right where's my ukara ??? They made me wait 3 months from first game coz they had loads of peeps hit n run to get ukara So 3 months & £10 admin fee - Still took about 3 weeks after 3 months had elapsed - jeeeeez I was chomping at the bit to start getting my first RIF ffs - so yeah kinda feel ya pain. Some may do the 2 months or slightly fast track it more than say my site did All good things come to those who wait - yeah that didn't mean jack - I wanna buy my RIF ffs !!!
-
yeah I know - maybe it might be worth a go for £90 unpainted if ukara'd but screw £25 for a psssttt & another psssttt - taking the psssttt - lol

I'm no expert - especially on ICS's - but "think" they use regular tappet plates (some bits on ICS's are bespoke but most box stuff is normal TM compat - i think) something ain't right but I can't keep stabbing at this n that I'm afraid but not got it in front of me it is or "should" be hop or nozzle/tappet plate related the way it won't allow a bb to feed even if upside down... something is responsible for it not clearing to feed So yeah give them a bell and see if they can look at it - sorry read up on manual how to ensure gears on lower box are correct place when you reassemble 2 halves
-
Be careful if you are not sure what you are doing - no offense it should of allowed a bb in mag to feed no problem, a bb sitting in magwell hole if it don't jump out should drop into hop eventually on inching her over but keep checking it that the nozzle is not clearing properly...... Again no real offense but you are a little unsure and perhaps ring a local shop and maybe say feed problems and might be nozzle/tappet related Thing is have you got a few spare parts to hand for a start, could you fit them if needed and ensure it works ok for sunday? find out if they can look at it - it could be a boned tappet or it might be something else/worse (though my rough - and it is rough guess coz I'm no expert and more so I don't have the gun in front of me - perhaps tappet plate) Seriously - yes you can take the two halves apart - tells you in manual ensure you get the gears in the lower gearbox parked - no teeth showing on sector gear when you reassemble But like I said even if you diagnose it correctly you need to get bits n fit etc..... So ring shop first is what I suggest
-
gun upside down.... look in magwell like you was trying to get a bb to feed upside down now on/off trigger or inch gun over..... you should see nozzle moving back n forth..... BUT at some point for a brief moment that nozzle - it will be harder to see if everything is jet black but at some point the nozzle should clear for a short brief point on the cycle and at this point the bb should feed.... If it don't clear - and I said it might take you a number of attempts.... If nozzle don't clear then that is where you problem could be..... They got a split gearbox design so then you could check the top half and see if tappet plate is bent/boned/worn but you need to do a few checks and process of elimination etc... to help narrow it down a bit
-
I love Dytac (only got mags but they are bloody good mags) but after you add £25 to £90 = £115.. Still rather go for a G&G carbine for £117 at zero like I said. - 2-toned free yes the Dytac's have a quick change gearbox and my recent G&G super duper FH HC05 is crap..... But overall the standard G&G's imho are a safer bet. Think also they will hold their money too if you can consider a Raider for another £6 - £123 coz at some point you will want to add stuff but with a M4A1 carbine type of handguard you will be wishing you paid that extra £6 and had rails galore to mount crap on Raiders come in short 233mm barrel & 357mm - bit of a big jump choice Carbines - inc Dytac's probably come in 300mm or 363mm aprox - for the 2 versions or Normal & the Lite Carbines
-
try to inch it over on full auto looking in magwell to see the nozzle does at some open correctly to allow bb to feed might take you half a dozen attempts but you should see the nozzle nigh on clear the well if not then the tappet plate etc... will need investigating further but hopefully the nozzle should be moving back n forth correctly or the problem will likely be gearbox related
-
Best deal that "might" work ok: http://www.airsoftarmoury.co.uk/acatalog/ASG-M15A4-Carbine-Sportline-646.html BUT I have no experience with this gun or these people, A DYTAC one for £90 @ LWA maybe.... BUT AGAIN - still probably better with G&G M4 carbine @ £117 from zero one 2-tone free add battery/charger to all these better budget guns anything less with be just $hit
-
Welcome - but if you wish to pull out of UK then we will delete your account JOKE - just kidding, we have been having bitchy rows in another dumb ar$e thread ignore me - most of them on here do, welcome fellow UK citizen
-
Nerf or nothing I'm afraid £30 would just about get you a cheapo gas pistol - no blowback but you would need to add about a tenner nearly for some gas (well you could get titchy can maybe) but gas magazine seal could go pear shape or at a push perhaps a shotgun but that is your lot tbh £30 - what ever you get won't be very built is a polite way of putting it

Lubrication of airsoft internals question
Sitting Duck replied to SCAR_Jester's topic in General Help
White high temp lithium grease for gears/bushings - higher temp/melting point also I dab a bit on the teeth of gears/piston - but don't go nutz ffs (used at work on big machine gears etc....) Silicone grease (clear like jelly) on other parts like piston rail/guides have used a mix of both when I put lithium on piston tappet plate and was a bit sluggish so put on the usual silicone grease - might not be chemically wise but wtf.... yup that operates better. Almost anything is gonna be better than a dried up gearbox but careful of oil - some cheapo guns either have a tiny scrape of grease or they are flooded with oil everywhere inside cylinder/piston which propells into the hop-up and contaminates the rubber bucking = crap performance/control. Then you gotta strip hop-up unit and wash the rubber in warm soapy washing up liquid water and clean hop unit/barrel etc.... Hence the only thing to use quite a bit of when working on your gearbox is lots of common sense and not the whole tube of grease/oil - coz it just will get everywhere and attract dust/dirt/crap too We might all do things slightly different - what/where we use stuff & how we clean barrels etc.... but that is what I do - well it seems to work for me but I break my guns too quickly from abuse (they don't last too long to dry out) -
Hey. Been looking for a new hobbie/sport
Sitting Duck replied to shortman's topic in New Players & Arrivals
need ukara to buy/import etc.... (they will ask for it or they will paint it & charge you - well evike will) & will get raped with Royal Mail Custom charges on top most will paint a 2-tone or spill a bit of paint whilst decorating a little iffy but your site and most on here won't give a toss really we try to avoid too many ukara vcra posts coz it always provoke quotes from it (truth is nobody on here will care much anyway) The main thing is don't be a dick with ya gun - get a bag and conduct yourself in a responsible-ish way - thus not drawing attention wave anything like that around in public and you will get ya ar$e slapped seriously - 2tone "touch-up" is not gonna be a problem unless you are a dick -
ICS - yup we was aware and they do make some innovative stuff
